Using 4,000 eggs and local ingredients, the cake was displayed in Argenteuil, Paris, where residents enjoyed slices of the record-breaking dessert.
</excerpt>

In a tasty bid to shatter records, French pastry cooks under Youssef El Gatou have finished a 121.8-metre-long strawberry cake, reportedly the longest one in the world. It is approximately 1.2 tonnes heavy, took a week to prepare, and was showcased in an ice rink in the Paris suburb of Argenteuil.

The ambitious task, in which 20 chefs took part, surpassed the previous record of a 100.48-metre cake made in San Mauro Torinese, Italy, in 2019.

A Feast of Ingredients

In order to prepare the cake, the group used a humongous list of ingredients like 4,000 eggs, 350kg strawberries, 150kg sugar, and 415kg cream. To qualify to enter the Guinness World Records book, the cake was built to be at least eight centimetres wide and tall.

The size of the project posed logistical issues. “We used blowtorches to heat the bowl” for blending the cream, said Nadia El Gatou, Youssef’s wife.

Take a look at some pictures of the making of this marvelous dessert:

</excerpt>

Lalit Patidar, who is just 18 years old and hails from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, has officially secured the Guinness World Record for the hairiest face on a man. Born with hypertrichosis, better referred to as ‘werewolf syndrome’, Lalit has been living with excessive facial and body hair since childhood.

Diagnosed With ‘Werewolf Syndrome’ at Six

Lalit was diagnosed with hypertrichosis when he was six years old. This is a rare condition that causes excessive growth of fine hair, sometimes up to 5 cm long, on different parts of the body because of Werewolf Syndrome. His odd looks made him the subject of ridicule and bullying in his childhood, with some people even cruelly referring to him as ‘monkey boy’.

Despite these difficulties, Lalit has opted to accept his natural look. “I like the way I am, and I don’t want to change my appearance,” he said to Guinness World Records. He also remembered his school days, saying, “The first day at school wasn’t so good because the other children were frightened of me, but when they got to know me, they realised I’m not so different from them.”

Officially Measured on Italian TV Show

Lalit recently visited Milan, Italy, where he was featured on the TV show ‘Lo Show dei Record’. A trichologist officially measured his facial hair density at 201.72 hairs per square cm. This earned him a place in the Guinness World Records as the Hairiest Face on a Person (Male).

A Moment of Pride

Speaking of his joy at the recognition, Lalit stated, “I am speechless. I don’t know what to say because I am very happy to get this recognition.”

Though he used to be discriminated against and bullied, Lalit now finds that most people are kind to him. “It’s now very rare that people are not treating me well. Most people are good to me. It depends on the person,” he explained.

Lalit’s story is a heartwarming testament to self-acceptance and determination. He has turned what others perceived as a weakness into a point of pride. Demonstrating that accepting one’s individuality can result in extraordinary acclaim on an international platform.

</excerpt>

A Chinese chef, Li Enhai, has made history by reclaiming the Guinness World Record for the thinnest noodles ever created. Measuring just 0.18 mm, these ultra-thin noodles are finer than a human hair, showcasing his incredible skill and precision.

How Li Enhai Set the Record

Using traditional hand-cutting techniques, Li Enhai achieved a level of precision that surpassed the previous record. According to Guinness World Records, he has broken the previous record by 0.04 mm, reclaiming his title.

Li Enhai originally set this record in 2010 on Italy’s ‘Lo Show Dei Record’, where he made noodles measuring 0.33 mm. Fourteen years later, in 2024, he returned to the same show and proved once again that he is the master of ultra-thin noodles.

Social Media Reactions

This record-breaking feat has taken the internet by storm, with mixed reactions from social media users. While many praised Li Enhai’s talent, others drew humorous comparisons to India’s famous Soan Papdi, known for its flaky and delicate texture.

Others were in awe, with one commenting, “How awesome!!”

A Culinary Feat That Made History

Li Enhai’s achievement is a testament to Chinese culinary artistry and the skill of traditional noodle-making techniques. His world record highlights the precision and craftsmanship required in the art of handmade noodles.

With this Guinness World Record, Li Enhai has once again proved that culinary excellence has no limits.

Some of the most remarkable records set in 2024 include:

Longest Hair on a Living Person

Aliia Nasyrova of Ukraine has the record for longest hair on a living person at 257.33 cm (8 ft 5.3 in). She lives in Slovakia now, but Aliia never cuts her hair and dedicates hours a week to caring for it; she washes it once a week.

First Multiple Amputee to Climb Everest

Andrea Lanfri of Italy is the first multiple amputee to reach the highest point on Mount Everest, having lost seven fingers as well as both legs beneath the knee due to serious illness. This is a compelling testament to human determination as a whole.

Longest Tongue

Sacha Feiner from Belgium has the record for the largest tongue circumference at 17 cm (6.69 in), and Jenny DuVander from the USA holds the female record with a circumference of 13.25 cm (5.21 in).

Their story shows the value of companionship and love for emotional, physical, and mental well-being in old age.
</excerpt>

Love knows no age, and Bernie Littman, aged 100, and Marjorie Fiterman, aged 102, are living proof. The couple recently set a Guinness World Record as the world’s oldest newlyweds, with a combined age of 202 years.

Their heartwarming journey began at a senior living community in Philadelphia, where they met during a costume party nine years ago. After over a decade of companionship, Bernie and Marjorie decided to tie the knot on May 19, 2024. Guinness World Records officially recognized their record-breaking feat on December 3, 2024.

Beyond setting records, their story highlights the immense value of companionship, especially in the later stages of life.

The Importance of Companionship in Old Age

As people age, the need for companionship becomes more evident. Numerous studies show that relationships significantly enhance emotional, physical, and mental well-being among older adults. Bernie and Marjorie’s inspiring love story reminds us that connection and love are timeless.

1. Emotional Support and Reduced Loneliness

Loneliness is one of the most common challenges faced by the elderly, especially for those with health or mobility issues. A partner can provide much-needed emotional support, helping to reduce feelings of isolation and sadness.

Studies show: People in committed relationships report lower levels of loneliness and depression compared to single individuals.

Example: Bernie and Marjorie’s companionship over the years brought them happiness and emotional fulfillment, proving love can flourish at any age.

2. Health Benefits of Companionship

Being in a healthy relationship has proven health advantages:

Physical Health: Married individuals tend to have better physical health due to the emotional support they receive.

Lifestyle Choices: A partner can encourage healthier habits, like proper diet and exercise.

Intimacy Benefits: Physical affection releases oxytocin, reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, and boosting happiness levels.

3. Sharing Responsibilities

Old age often comes with physical and cognitive limitations, making daily tasks more challenging. Having a partner helps in sharing responsibilities like:

Managing finances

Performing household chores

Providing emotional reassurance during difficult times

A supportive partner can alleviate stress, making life easier and more manageable.

4. Enhanced Life Satisfaction

Research published in Evolutionary Psychological Science reveals that people in fulfilling relationships experience higher emotional well-being and life satisfaction.

Key Insight: Individuals in long-term relationships are happier compared to those who remain single.

Outcome: Companionship and connection greatly contribute to overall well-being and happiness.

5. Opportunities for Intimacy

Contrary to societal perceptions, intimacy remains an essential aspect of life at every age. Romantic relationships provide emotional and physical closeness that improves mental states and quality of life.

Breaking Stigma: Many older adults avoid discussing intimacy due to societal taboos. Open conversations can encourage healthier attitudes toward aging and sexuality.

Bernie and Marjorie’s bond serves as a reminder that love and intimacy know no age boundaries.

Conclusion

Bernie Littman and Marjorie Fiterman’s story is a celebration of timeless love and companionship. Their record-breaking marriage shows that it is never too late to find love and enjoy its many emotional, physical, and mental benefits.

As society evolves in its understanding of aging, stories like Bernie and Marjorie’s encourage us to embrace love, connection, and companionship at every stage of life.

</excerpt>

A German Guinness World Records enthusiast by the name Andre Ortolf reclaimed two former records of drinking lemon and lime juice at record speed. Andre has been well-known for his taste in “drinking and eating records.” Two such records have been completed on the same day, indicating the endurance and skill possessed by Andre.

Andre set the record for drinking one litre of lemon juice through a straw in 13.30 seconds. On the same day, he also regained the title for the fastest time to drink one litre of lime juice through a straw by doing it in 13.51 seconds.

These records were previously held by David Rush from the United States in 2024, but Andre’s determination and preparation helped him reclaim both titles.

The Technique Behind the Triumph

Speaking about his technique, Andre said that, “For both of the records, it becomes essential to draw quickly out of the straw. He keeps swallowing as little of it as possible and permits the juice to run, thus saving time.

Andre admitted that it was not easy to attempt both records in one day, especially because lime juice is more acidic than lemon juice. He commented on his decision, “It was probably not the best idea, but I was very motivated and had all the witnesses present, so I thought, ‘Why not?'”

Andre has smashed more than 500 records during his professional career and presently owns over 100 official Guinness World Records. Perhaps one day he’ll become that person who has set world records the most.

A Passion for Records

The love of competitive eating and drinking for Andre has really helped him stand out among people in the Guinness World Records community. He has dedication and an approach that sets the bar and continues to be a great inspiration for other people to attempt their extraordinary feats.

A Delhi-based martial artist recently captured a Guinness World Record with an impressive 360-degree kick, and the moment was recorded on video. The Tang Soo Do practitioner, Chinmay Sharma, achieved the “Highest unassisted martial arts 360 kick” with a height of 2.08 meters (6 ft 9 in), securing his place in the Guinness World Records.

Guinness World Records shared the video, captioning it with Sharma’s record title and noting in a blog post that he accomplished this feat in Delhi on August 4 this year.

Social Media’s Reaction: Mixed Responses

The video attracted a lot of attention on social media, where many users expressed admiration and congratulated Sharma for his remarkable skill. One Instagram user commented, “Making India proud,” while another enthusiastically wrote, “I will break this record.” Others praised him more personally, with one admirer stating, “I am the luckiest student to have a guru like you,” and another remarking, “This is just wow.”

</excerpt>

Swiggy has teamed up with the creators of the upcoming film Singham Again to establish a new Guinness World Record for the largest single-order delivery of vada pavs. The record was set by delivering an impressive 11,000 vada pavs to children from schools supported by the Robin Hood Army, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating hunger through surplus food distribution.

This monumental order was executed using Swiggy’s newly launched Swiggy XL Fleet, consisting of electric vehicles specifically designed for bulk deliveries. The initiative involved collaboration with Singham Again stars Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty. The vada pavs, supplied by the Mumbai vendor MM Mithaiwala, were distributed to various locations across the city, including Robin Hood Army-supported schools in Bandra, Juhu, Andheri East, Malad, and Borivali.

The record-breaking event kicked off at Airport High School & Junior College in Vile Parle, where Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty, and Swiggy Co-founder Phani Kishan were present to commemorate the milestone.

“In our 10 years, Swiggy has delivered millions of vada pavs across Mumbai and other cities. Now, we’re going XL by teaming up with Singham Again to set a Guinness World Record for the largest single order of vada pavs,” stated Phani Kishan, Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer of Swiggy. “This event captures Swiggy’s commitment to delivering all types of orders, big or small, and celebrates Mumbai’s iconic street food.”

Rohit Shetty expressed his excitement, saying, “We are pleased to have collaborated with Swiggy for this record-breaking delivery, bringing food to children. Just like Singham’s larger-than-life persona, this initiative aims to achieve something meaningful.”

The successful delivery was made possible by Swiggy’s new XL Fleet, designed for efficient and sustainable high-volume orders. The electric vehicles were manufactured by Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), while Moeving Urban Technologies Ltd. managed the fleet operations on the ground.

</excerpt>

In a recent food-related milestone, the Guinness World Records (GWR) spotlighted the creation of the world’s largest string cheese ball, weighing an extraordinary 636.2 kg (2,204.62 lbs). This impressive achievement was accomplished by the Gobierno del Estado de Oaxaca and Municipio Reyes Etla, based in Reyes Etla, Oaxaca, Mexico, on July 19, 2024.

The Creation Process

The massive cheese ball required over 10,000 litres of milk, according to GWR. A video shared by the organisation showcased the meticulous process, beginning with several strings of cheese that were gradually assembled into a giant spherical shape. Initially small, the ball grew larger as more strings were added, eventually forming the record-breaking creation.

This new record surpasses the previous one set in Pijijiapan, Chiapas, in 2023, where a cheese ball made by 80 workers weighed around 558 kilogrammes. That cheese ball, made from quesillo (a type of string cheese also known as Oaxaca cheese), used 6,000 litres of milk.

Ski-base jumping, as the sport is known, merges skiing and base jumping. Bregmen, who lives in his van full-time, and his team dedicated over two weeks to preparing for the attempt. This preparation included hiking and skiing to the jump site, camping at high altitude, and clearing debris from the course. The challenge aimed to raise funds for charity and increase awareness about human trafficking in Nepal, where thousands of children are trafficked annually.

The record attempt faced obstacles when the team encountered a rocky slope at their initial jump site. Despite the setbacks, they located a suitable slope, cleared boulders, and added snow to create a runway.

“It took most of the next day until we had nothing left in the tank,” Bregmen said.

He described the physical toll of the endeavor, noting, “The lack of oxygen, constant headaches, and sleeping at around 6,000 meters added to the body’s degradation. One of the guys even said this was harder than when he climbed Everest.”

After another night at high altitude, they made their record attempt the following day. Bregmen recalled, “That night we were blessed with a 2 cm dusting of snow—not much, but it helped.”

He continued, “The dream was to do several nice S-turns and ski eloquently off the cliff, but in reality, all we had was just a humble rock-filled runway at an exit height of nearly 6,000 meters.” He added, “I did some nice, heavy breathing before the jump through exhaustion and lack of oxygen, but this just added to the exhilaration, especially with Everest in the backdrop.”

Reuben is a member of the Lakota Nation and is proud to represent his tribe and family on a global stage.

Reuben explained that long hair holds cultural significance for the Lakota people, symbolizing their “Nagi” or spirit. “It’s part of our Nagi. It’s who I am,” Reuben said, expressing his pride in representing his family and the Lakota Nation. He last had his hair cut when he was two years old, as hair clippers initially frightened him. As he grew older, he chose to keep his hair long to honour Lakota traditions. Many Indigenous American cultures, including the Lakota, view hair as a sacred symbol of the connection with one’s soul, family, and community.

“Culturally, Lakota people have long hair. It’s part of our Nagi (spirit). It’s who I am." pic.twitter.com/rxsDrlXzEB

— Guinness World Records (@GWR) July 19, 2024

Reuben primarily wears his hair in a lengthy braid. His hair care routine is extensive: he washes it every morning for 20 minutes with shampoo and conditioner, then dries it for an hour, and spends another 10 minutes untangling, brushing, and braiding it again. For the Guinness World Record measurement, he went to a hair salon where his hair was unbraided, washed, and brushed out. The salon measured his hair three times, and the average of these measurements confirmed his record.

Reuben’s hair surpasses the previous record held by India’s Sidakdeep Singh Chahal, whose hair was measured at 146cm (4ft 9.5in) in 2023. Despite some practical challenges, such as getting his hair stuck in car doors or ensnared on shower knobs, Reuben plans never to cut it. He hopes to continue making his family and tribe proud and, upon turning 18, aims to qualify for the Guinness record recognizing the man with the longest hair in the world, a title currently vacant.

</excerpt>

Gujarat, renowned for its cultural heritage and commitment to well-being, has secured a coveted place in the Guinness Book of World Records by orchestrating the largest collective Surya Namaskar performance.

On the morning of January 1, 2024, a staggering 4,000 participants spanning 108 locations and 51 diverse categories united to execute the revered sun salutation yoga sequence. This remarkable feat not only underscores the state’s unwavering dedication to well-being but also its commitment to preserving cultural heritage.

The monumental event unfolded against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring Modhera Sun Temple, drawing enthusiastic participation from a myriad of groups, including families, students, yoga enthusiasts, and even seniors. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi graced the celebrations at Modhera, accentuating the significance of the occasion.

The zenith of exuberance was reached when Swapnil Dangarikar, Guinness World Records adjudicator, officially proclaimed the triumph. Dangarikar, reflecting on the unprecedented achievement, noted, “I was here to verify the record for the most people doing Surya Namaskar. This is a new title because no one had attempted to break this record before. After going through all the evidence and witnessing their performance here in Modhera… They have successfully set a new Guinness World Record title for most people doing Surya Namaskar.”

Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi, brimming with pride, remarked, “Today Gujarat has registered the first world record of the country and the world, where thousands of people have done yoga together at 108 places and in 51 variety of places.” Sanghavi further underscored the global resonance of yoga, stating, “Yoga is being adopted across the world.”

Gujarat’s monumental achievement is not merely a testament to physical prowess but also a celebration of cultural richness and unity. The Guinness World Record for mass Surya Namaskar solidifies Gujarat’s position as a frontrunner in promoting holistic well-being and preserving age-old traditions.

Every child that doctors have encountered is a divine appointment, but some kids unfortunately suffer from compromised development as a result of genetic and other non-genetic factors like preterm births, poor nutrition, infections in early childhood, etc. This has an impact on the full realisation of their social and economic potential at an individual, family, community, and national level.

Children with neurodevelopmental disorders suffer in silence, and parents as well as children experience pain because often times, the desired cooperation from society is not received, which is essential and crucial for providing such children with a normal environment during their formative years.

With this in mind, Akumentis Healthcare Ltd., a renowned pharmaceutical company with its headquarters in Mumbai and a reputation for producing high-quality medications, decided to make a difference in the lives of children with NDDs through its massive campaign, “JOY in the Life of Kids with NDDs.”

Over 3500 paediatricians and paediatric neurologists from all over India are participating in the COS 3 campaign, and they have donated their time and expertise to raise awareness of the issue. They have also signed a pledge saying, “I take a pledge to create joy in life for kids with neurodevelopmental disorders.”

The campaign, which got underway in August 2022, saw great success when the “Largest Awareness Ribbon Sentence” Guinness World Records title was set by crafting the Doctor Pledge sentence with 6,167 purple awareness ribbons.

The documentation supports Indian doctors’ commitment to providing their patients, particularly kids, with high-quality care. On November 14, 2022, in Thane, Mumbai, the record was set.

According to Kanishk Jain, ED of Akumentis Healthcare Ltd., the cause of making future generations content, healthy, and productive supersedes all other considerations in life.

Pradeep Patni, CEO of Akumentis Healthcare Ltd., echoed this sentiment when he stated that this initiative will now strengthen the movement to bring “JOY in the Life of Kids Suffering from NDDs.”

Building awareness of proper cognitive nourishment, which is essential for brain development, is now more important than ever. For the development of cognition, a diet should contain an adequate amount of the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic (DHA). Brands like COS3 from Cognitive Nutrition are a tremendous blessing for parents.

COS 3 is a pure, abundant source of EPA and DHA-rich omega-3 fatty acids with the added benefit of vitamin D3. Children receiving it showed a considerable improvement in numerous clinical trials.
