YouTuber Gaurav Taneja Hilariously Mocks Shark Tank India in Viral Video

February 7, 2025, 3:57 pm

Youtuber Gaurav Taneja trolled Shark Tank India while he said, “inke Gao mei deal pakki” after his pitch for his protein brand, Beast Life, was rejected on the show. In his recent vlog, he travels through several villages in Rajasthan and manages to get through a business deal for his dairy brand, Rozier.

Shark Tank Rejects Guarav’s Pitch

During his appearance on the show he asked for 1 crore in exchange for a 1% equity stake in Beast Life which combines two powerful forms of protein—whey protein isolate and concentrate—to offer a high-quality protein source that absorbs quickly and efficiently into the body. But the offer was rejected by the Sharks, who expressed skepticism due to his involvement in several ventures. Anupam Mittal even told him to stop working on YouTube and focus solely on his business startup.

Cracks Business Deal in Rural Village

Confronted with the denial, Gaurav chose to prove himself by visiting several villages to sign farmers for sourcing milk from desi cows. Despite criticism on the show, he bagged a deal and did not let the failure dampen his spirits.
Gaurav’s brand Rozier is aimed at uplifting the situation of rural areas and creating a positive impact.

‘Terrible Entrepreneur’: Gaurav Taneja ‘Flying Beast’ Rs 1 Crore Pitch Gets Rejected On Shark Tank | WATCH

January 17, 2025, 11:12 am

Popular YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, also known as Flying Beast, encountered turbulence on Shark Tank India Season 4 while presenting his fitness and wellness brand, BeastLife. Accompanied by his business partner, Raj Gupta, Taneja sought ₹1 crore for a 1% equity stake in their startup, which specializes in easily digestible protein supplements. Despite his massive online following and impressive sales numbers, the Sharks were unconvinced.

The BeastLife Pitch: A Strong Start

Gaurav Taneja and Gupta’s pitch highlighted an extraordinary achievement: BeastLife reportedly generated ₹1 crore in sales within an hour of launching its password-protected website. The feat was attributed to Taneja’s extensive online presence, boasting 9.5 million YouTube subscribers and 3.7 million Instagram followers. However, the Sharks quickly questioned the sustainability and business acumen behind the numbers.

Sharks Raise Concerns Over Entrepreneurial Focus

Anupam Mittal, founder of Shaadi.com, critiqued Taneja’s approach, stating, “You’re a good influencer, but you can’t outsource entrepreneurship.” He pointed out the need for undivided focus, emphasizing that success requires prioritization and dedication. Mittal labeled Taneja as a “terrible entrepreneur,” highlighting concerns about his fragmented attention between content creation and running a business.

Other Sharks echoed Mittal’s skepticism, raising issues about equity structure and Taneja’s long-term commitment to BeastLife. These concerns ultimately led to a unanimous rejection of the pitch.

Taneja’s Clarification on Revenue and Intent

Ahead of the episode’s airing, Gaurav Taneja addressed the media via a YouTube vlog to clarify misconceptions. He explained that the ₹1 crore figure referred to revenue, not profit. “People think I earn ₹1 crore in one hour, but it’s just revenue—not money in the pocket,” he clarified.

Responding to criticism about leveraging the platform for marketing, Taneja said, “We went for both—marketing and funding. Even the biggest companies in the world seek marketing. You can’t run a business without it.”

Lessons from the Shark Tank Rejection

Taneja’s journey serves as a reminder of the challenges influencers face in transitioning to entrepreneurship. While his brand showcased initial success, the Sharks underscored the importance of focus, strategic planning, and leadership in building a sustainable business.

Gaurav Taneja, ‘Flying Beast,’ Criticized for Setting Off Fireworks Near Captive Cows

October 24, 2024, 12:34 pm

Gaurav Taneja, a well-known Delhi-based vlogger and former pilot with over nine million followers on his YouTube channel ‘Flying Beast’, has recently been in the spotlight for controversial reasons. After facing rumors of divorce and allegations of infidelity involving his wife, Ritu Rathee, as well as his accusations against AirAsia for safety violations, Taneja is now under fire for launching fireworks near cows.

In a recent video titled “Something special @ Diwali,” Taneja, along with Rathee and their children, is seen preparing halwa for Diwali. The video, which features farmhands helping to stir semolina with ghee and garnish the dessert with dry fruits, initially comes across as a wholesome family celebration. However, things took a problematic turn when fireworks were introduced.

Over the past decade, fireworks have become a symbol of cultural pride, particularly amidst environmental campaigns led by celebrities advocating for animal welfare. Many public figures have urged people to consider the impact of firecrackers on animals, only to be met with backlash or calls for “boycotts.” Despite these appeals, the use of fireworks continues, often overshadowing the concerns of advocates.

Taneja’s decision to set off fireworks next to a barn-like structure where cows were kept sparked outrage online.

A six-second clip from the ‘Flying Beast’ vlog shows cattle, including bulls and cows, frantically trying to flee as one of the fireworks shoots into the sky. Social media users quickly came to the defense of the animals, with some pointing out the symbolic importance of cows in Hinduism.

“Just when I thought they [Gaurav Taneja and Ritu Rathee] couldn’t go any lower, they do this,” commented a Reddit user. Another person added, “I’m proud of myself for not watching even a single video of them but this time can we please just mass report them?”

The criticism didn’t stop there. Another commenter expressed frustration with the couple’s behavior, stating, “Both husband and wife have stooped so low. Do they even realise what are they doing? Using fireworks so close to animals. I hope people don’t buy whatever they are selling after seeing this.”

“A small thing happened between a husband and wife. He thought he was right, I thought I was right. He became stubborn, and so did I. But does that mean that you will tell me what kind of a man he was? I know that man inside out. I don’t need to hear from you whether he is genuine, whether he was loyal,” she stated, affirming that she does not need social media’s validation about her husband.

Youtubers Dhruv Rathee And Gaurav Taneja Debate Over Government’s New Social Media Policy

August 30, 2024, 9:30 am

YouTubers Dhruv Rathee and Gaurav Taneja are at odds once again, this time over Uttar Pradesh’s controversial new social media policy. The debate has intensified following Rathee’s criticism of the policy, which allows influencers to earn up to Rs 8 lakh per month for promoting government initiatives.

Rathee’s Criticism: ‘Legalized Bribery’

Dhruv Rathee, known for his critical analysis of government policies, took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his disapproval. In a viral post that garnered over 2 million views, Rathee labeled the policy as “Legalized Bribery,” accusing the Uttar Pradesh government of using taxpayer money to fund influencer promotions. He argued that this practice undermines the integrity of influencers and should be publicly condemned.

— Gaurav Taneja (@flyingbeast320) August 28, 2024

Taneja’s Defense: Comparing with Traditional Media

In response, Gaurav Taneja, a former pilot and IITian, defended the scheme. He questioned whether media outlets such as newspapers and TV channels, which also receive government advertisements, should face similar criticism. Taneja argued that the policy could be seen as a modern extension of traditional media practices, rather than an isolated issue of bribery.

Overview of the UP Government’s Social Media Policy

The Uttar Pradesh government’s new social media policy, approved by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Cabinet, aims to incentivize influencers to promote government schemes and achievements. Under this policy, influencers will be categorized into four groups based on their follower counts and will receive payments for their promotional activities on platforms like X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

The government asserts that the policy will provide income opportunities for individuals from Uttar Pradesh residing outside the state, while also enhancing the reach of its initiatives through social media.

Public Reactions and Implications

The exchange between Rathee and Taneja has sparked a range of reactions from the online community. Some view Rathee’s stance as a necessary critique of government spending, while others agree with Taneja’s perspective that such payments are part of a broader media strategy. This debate reflects ongoing discussions about the role of social media in modern governance and public relations.

Previous Clashes

This latest confrontation is not the first between the two YouTubers. Earlier in June 2024, Rathee and Taneja clashed over the “India vs. Bharat” issue, showcasing their differing views on national identity and politics.

As the debate continues, the implications of the Uttar Pradesh social media policy remain a topic of public and political interest.
