He is dressed in a T-shirt and his signature hat as the actor floats with a tube and exercises his hands using a ball. Dharmendra is captured in another clip moving his body under training by his coach, showing his dedication to keeping himself tough and fit.

Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, which released on February 9, 2024, has performed well at the box office. The film has collected approximately Rs. 72 crore so far.. However, despite this, it is not a flawless attempt at storytelling.

‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ centres on a human who falls in love with a robot and wishes to marry her while keeping her actual identity a secret from his family. Things take a shocking turn when her motherboard crashes and she becomes a threat to everyone.

Fans usually expect some amount of originality from a film. ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ doesn’t deliver on this front. Yes, it is a fresh take on the Bollywood rom-com genre but the overall approach transforms it into a routine “boy obsessed with a toy” story, which one is all too familiar with.

Mixing science fiction with romance is not exactly a brand-new theme for the audience. ‘Enthiran’ and ‘Bahu Humari Rajnikanth’ helped the audience familiarize itself with the same. Simply put, they expected something different from previous attempts but it was not delivered.

The film had its quirks and witty comments. The jokes are funny but not funny enough. This leaves the audience occasionally giggling but often checking their watches. The storyline and dialogues are average, making the movie predictable. For instance, in a light-hearted sequence, Shahid’s character runs away from his wedding. This trope is very common in Bollywood movies.

Coming to the individual performances, Shahid Kapoor proves that he is a phenomenal actor and dancer once again. He plays the character as naturally as possible. Kriti Sanon does a fine job playing a robot, ‘Sifra’ programmed to fall in love with a human being. However, she has been compared to Ridhima Pandit in ‘Bahu Humari Rajnikanth.’

The film presents some of the grooviest tracks of the year. The chemistry between the two protagonists is a mixed bag. Some viewers might enjoy this fresh chemistry between Shahid and Kriti while others might think it is not very good. Shahid Kapoor had impeccable reel chemistry with Kareena Kapoor Khan in films like ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Chup Chup Ke’, which might have impacted the judgment.

Films are said to have the power to affect society’s outlook. There has allegedly been an increase in toxicity in films in recent times because of releases such as ‘Kabir Singh’ and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’. ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ too features a debatable scene where Shahid hits Kriti. However, it goes with the storyline. That said, it may make some viewers think that violence is the ultimate power move.

To sum up, the film has its merits but features noticeable flaws, which may make some wonder if this is truly an example of good storytelling.

The film promises to be an “urban tale that celebrates romance, relationships and matters of the heart.”

‘Dono’ is all set to hit the theatres on October 5.

The makers unveiled the film’s trailer in Mumbai on Monday.

Sunny Deol, Sooraj Barjatya, Karan Deol, and Poonam Dhillon were also present at the trailer launch event.

Recently actor Salman Khan and Bhagyashree unveiled the title track of the film which received decent responses from the audience.

Dharmendra’s kiss with co-star Shabana Azmi in Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was much talked about. In a recent interview with Zoom, the actress opened up about the much-hyped scene said, “There is a barrier or age for love or kissing—who said so”. Calling him the ‘coolest’, the actress further adds, “He is so handsome. Papa, by nature, is very romantic; he will do his shayari and everything.”

Further, she shares, “he has always been that way. Shabana ji is fantastic, and I have a huge soft corner for Jaya aunty. Karan Johar is amazing, it was shot beautifully, and they are all professional actors.”

On the work front, the actress was last seen in Amazon Mini TV’s web-series, Hunter: Tootega Nahi Todega, she was also seen in Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, a series that also stars Ajay Devgn and Raashii Khanna. Also, her short film Ek Duaa got a special mention in the category of non-feature films at the 69th National Film Awards.

Dharmendra took to his official Twitter handle and shared a video of the Deol siblings posing for the cameras at the screening of Gadar 2. The senior actor used the song Apne To Apne Hote Hain from his film Apne in the background of the video. Along with the video, he wrote, “Friends love you all for making Gadar 2 a big success……Togetherness a great blessing.”

Actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, on Monday, unveiled a new poster of their upcoming film ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. Taking to Instagram, Ranveer shared the new poster which he captioned, “We’re about to enter the season of LOVE! #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani TEASER OUT TOMORROW! In the new poster, Alia and Ranveer could be seen twinning in red outfits and flaunting their cute smiles.

The official teaser of ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ will be out on June 20.

Soon after the ‘Befikre’ actor shared the poster, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons. “Can’t wait for this season to start,” a user wrote. A user wrote,” Yeeeyee cant wait” “Excited to see it , Rocky gonna rock,” a fan commented.

Helmed by Karan Johar, the film is all set to hit the theatres on July 28. Earlier on Karan’s 51st birthday, the makers unveiled several posters of the film which increased the fans’ excitement. Last year, on his birthday, Karan announced that his next directorial is going to be an action film which he will commence shooting in April 2023, but no new update on the project was announced.

Meanwhile, Alia will also be seen in the upcoming Hollywood action thriller film ‘Heart of Stone’ alongside Gal Gadot. The film is set to stream on the OTT platform Netflix from August 11.

Dharmendra to share screen space with Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda

On the occasion of Dharmendra’s 87th birthday, the renowned actor’s collaboration with master filmmaker Sriram Raghvan was announced.

The lead role in Sriram’s upcoming war drama, titled Ikkis, will be played by Dharmendra. Surprisingly, Dharmendra will appear in the movie alongside Agastya Nanda, the grandson of superstar Amitabh Bachchan. The war drama “Ikkis” claims to be based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. He lived an exemplary life and was posthumously given the Param Vir Chakra.

“Ikkis,” produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, will begin filming in 2023.

Agastya will also appear in director Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies,’ a new interpretation of the enduring gang of The Archies that aims to capture the youthful vigor, hope, and excitement of the 1960s, in addition to the film “Ikkis.” Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Yuvraj Menda, Agastya Nanda, and Vedang Raina are featured as well. It will be released the following year and has the support of Tiger Baby, Graphic India, and Archie Comics.
