According to its creators, the AI-based calculator provides a detailed countdown timer, displaying the years, days, hours, and minutes a person supposedly has left to live. The website, which features the Grim Reaper as its logo, claims to have predicted the final day of over 63 million users worldwide.

Users are required to enter basic personal details, including their date of birth, gender, smoking status, BMI, and country of residence. For those unsure of their BMI, the website offers a built-in calculator to determine it before proceeding with the death prediction.

Nimisha Priya, a nurse from Kerala, was sentenced to death in Yemen for the 2017 murder of Yemeni man Talal Abdo Mehdi. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has pledged to provide “all possible assistance” to help secure her release. Despite her appeal being rejected by Yemen’s Supreme Judicial Council in November 2023, Priya’s family is exploring various legal options.

Continuous rainfall since Friday has triggered widespread flooding and landslides in Nepal, leaving devastation in its wake. The death toll reached nearly 200 by Monday, with at least 30 people still missing, according to Nepal Police.

Kathmandu has been among the hardest-hit areas, with over 34 fatalities reported. Roads leading to the capital city have been cut off, and numerous houses have been severely damaged or destroyed. 23-year-old killed in wrong-way crash, family demands justice

In a dreadful accident, a 23-year-old man named Akshat Garg was killed after his motorcycle was badly hit by a car driving in the wrong direction on Golf Course Road, DLF Phase II, and early Sunday morning.

The deceased died within minutes due to internal bleeding and injuries in the groin area.
The accident happened in the early morning between 5.45-6 AM. The deceased’s friend and colleague, Pradyuman Kumar, aged 22, was following him on another motorcycle from behind.

Talking to The Daily Guardian, his friend Pradyuman Kumar said that, “This horrific incident, which could only be described as murder due to the driver’s intentional wrong-side driving on a national highway, cost Akshat his life. Despite the gravity of the crime, the driver has been released on bail, with authorities deeming this fatal act a bailable offense.”

According to Gurgaon police, after crossing the Sikanderpur-Cyberhub flyover, the deceased along with Kumar (the complainant) and other bikers approached a turn when a Mahindra XUV 300 car suddenly appeared, coming from the wrong direction.
The car had a political sticker on its bonet and collided head-on with Garg’s bike.
Kumar also alleged that initially the police was not even taking the copy of his Gopro camera’s footage which had the entire recording of the accident.

Naresh Kumar, Assistant PRO Gurugram police said that the driver was arrested from the spot. “He was later identified as Kuldeep Kumar Thakur, 25, of Madhubani, Bihar. As far as his profession is concerned, he handles social media campaigns for elections and had a BJP’s sticker on the car’s bonet. There is no political connection in this case.”
On Kumar’s complaint, an FIR was registered against Thakur under several sections, including Section 116 (compensation after a motor vehicle accident), 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence).

Talking to TDG, the deceased elder brother Mayank Garg who is 24 years old said that “When we went to the Police Station, the accused was not even put behind the bars. He was sitting in a room alongside the IO. I just met him for 2 minutes and the police officials were consoling us that such accidents do occur. Surprisingly, he was given a bail on the very same day despite the fact that the accident happened on Sunday and Monday was a holiday (Eid).”

He further said that “It seemed that the police were not even ready to proceed with the case and we don’t know if there’s any political connection to it. Our family will be filing a case against Thakur (accused) for criminal negligence and for compensation. We are in a deep stress as I’ve lost my brother. We both were the bread winners for our family and we have a small sister who is just 6 years old. We have some debts on us too. Now, it’s all on me and I’ll have to take care of family on my own.”He also alleged that as far as Thakur is concerned, we have recieved some information that he is track recorder as he keeps changing his location every two three months but we have found out his native place.

Support for Hamas’ Death Cult must End

As the international chorus demanding a ceasefire in Gaza rises, we are being told that it is Benjamin Netanyahu who is erecting roadblocks to peace by wanting to retain control of the Philadelphi corridor between Gaza and Egypt. He is also being accused of wanting to set up checkpoints along the Netzarim corridor, which splits the Gaza Strip into northern and southern zones; as well as adding conditions about the release of Palestinian prisoners in lieu of the release of some 30-odd Israeli hostages. He is being accused of recklessness for the assassination—allegedly by Israel—of the top tier of Hamas leadership, specifically of Ismail Haniyeh in Iran. He is being charged with dragging the whole region into an internecine war, apparently for domestic political considerations. Even US President Joe Biden has accused him of this.

Amid this, the group that actually started the war, the Hamas, does not seem to be under any obligation to make peace by releasing the 100-odd hostages it still has in its custody. In fact, it just slaughtered six of the hostages in Gaza’s tunnels, proving that it’s not interested in peace. But then Hamas is winning the battle of narratives, where they represent the Palestinian people and are the victims of Israel’s aggression—take the anti-Semitic mayhem sweeping through American campuses as a case in point. Hamas thinks it can afford to ask for peace on its own terms, especially at a time when its military capabilities have been badly dented. The Operation Swords of Iron launched by the IDF last year after the 7 October attacks has succeeded in blunting Hamas’ lethality to a large extent. This became apparent in August, when rockets fired by Hamas did not have the intended effect of bruising Israel. So seen from Netanyahu’s perspective, any ceasefire now would amount to ceding ground to Hamas by allowing it time and space to recover and regroup, which is what it wants. As Hamas loses its military capabilities, chances are Israel will now have to brace for lone-wolf attacks targeting civilians. Hence, it is but natural that Netanyahu would want to control the crossings that have in the past proved to be a gateway for arms and ammunition to Gaza, apart from providing a likely passage to Hamas terrorists out of Gaza to safer locales.

The question here is of the humanitarian fallout of the war. There is no doubt that it’s catastrophic and has turned the tide of opinion against Israel—rather, it has been used by those against Israel as a tool to corner the Jewish state. But can there be any talk of Palestinian babies dying in Israeli bombardment, or can Israelis be accused of committing war crimes without talking about the Israeli babies spit-roasted in ovens by Hamas even when Israeli mothers were being raped and killed? And this was just one of the several acts of pure evil committed by Hamas on 7 October 2023. Israel did not start this war. Hamas did. They knew of the consequences of such acts of terror. They knew no country could sit back and endure such horrifying pain thrust on its citizens. But it was war that Hamas wanted, for which it was ready to sacrifice its own people.

India may be wary of describing Hamas as terrorists for fear of the consequences that Indians based in the Arab world may face, but that does not change the fact that Hamas is a terrorist group. In fact it’s a death cult, which does not care even for Palestinian lives. Hamas has been in control of Gaza ever since 2007. With all the billions of dollars that Palestinians have received in aid, Hamas could have turned Gaza into a prosperous society. Instead, it built tunnels and rockets, and brainwashed its population into becoming a part of its savagery, even as its leadership—worth billions of dollars—led a life of luxury in Qatar. There can be peace only when this death cult is eliminated, for which support must cease from outside, specifically from Iran, and from the unseen hand which is gradually inserting itself in the region—China.

Not many are speaking about it, but China has till date not condemned Hamas for the terror attack of 7 October. There is enough evidence of Chinese help in the construction of the tunnels in Gaza, of the use of Chinese weapons and rocket technology that have reached Hamas possibly via Iran. Hamas’ now dead military commander, Mohammed Deif completed his study in artillery and rocketry at a PLA engineering college in 2000.

Apparently, he was in touch with the PLA leadership throughout. China’s quiet influence peddling has resulted in the so-called reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas. It is just that the unity deal that Fatah and Hamas signed in China in July 2024, saw the presence of a host of terrorist groups associated with Hamas, thus placing China firmly and openly as a supporter of terrorism. Also, in its war for supremacy with the US, it suits China to have its rival implode. Would it be wrong to describe the support that Hamas is getting in some reputed US universities—many of which are richly funded by China—as evidence of Beijing playing along the faultlines of democracies to ensure the implosion of the democratic way of life? After being released by the Bombay High Court in 2009, Merchant fled the country but was later extradited from Bangladesh in 2016 and is now imprisoned in Mumbai’s Arthur Road prison.

A 37-year-old man, identified as K R Savla from Dombivli, passed away after accidentally falling from a crowded local train between Diva and Mumbra on Thursday morning. According to his companions who were in the same compartment, Savla, who was en route to work, lost his grip and fell off the train. He leaves behind a widow and a young child.

Railway police stated that this incident marks the 24th death of a commuter falling from a train between Thane and Diva since January 2024. Odisha: 4 Labourers Killed In Separate Cave-In Accidents

Four labourers were killed in two separate incidents after soil at a construction site and stones at a quarry caved-in in Jajpur district of Odisha.

They were laying pipelines for a construction company late on Wednesday when a pile of earth collapsed in on them, killing them.

Locals saved the laborers, who were then hurried to the community health center in Binjharpur. They were later taken to Jajpur’s district hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.

A man was buried under a mound of stones on Wednesday night during quarrying operations at the Dankari stone quarry in the Dharmashala block of the same district.

When the accident occurred, an Andhra Pradeshi contractor was using excavators to help in stone quarrying. It is thought that two additional laborers are stuck beneath the stones.

Rajasthan: 3-Year-Old Girl Dies Of Suffocation, Parents Forget Her In Car While Attending Wedding

A three-year-old girl died after being locked in a car when her parents forgot her while attending a wedding in Rajasthan’s Kota, PTI reported on Thursday, citing police.

The incident took place in Jorawarpura village on Wednesday evening, and the police identified the deceased girl as Gorvika Nagar.

When her parents realized she was inside the car after she had been locked inside for about two hours, she had passed away. According to the authorities, the family of Gorvika rejected both an autopsy and any police investigation into the occurrence.

The victim’s father, Pradeep Nagar, along with his wife and two daughters, went to Jorawarpura village in Kota to attend a wedding function.

After reaching the venue, Gorvika’s mother and elder sister got out of the car, and her father went to park it. Pradeep Nagar thought Gorvika had left with his wife and elder daughter, so he locked the car after parking it. Meanwhile, Gorvika’s mother thought she was coming with her father.

The family was unaware that the child had stayed in the car during the wedding reception. Her father believed she was with her mother, while her mother believed she was with her father, according to a PTI report citing Khatoli police station SHO Banna Lal.

Finally, after two hours of mingling with different groups during the ceremony, they realised the child was with neither of them and rushed to the parking lot to check on Gorvika.

They found her lying unconscious in the back seat of the car and took her to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Last Month, a seven-year-old boy and his five-year-old sister perished in Mumbai from asphyxia after being left inside an abandoned automobile.

According to police, on April 24, around 1:30 p.m., Sajid Mohammad Shaikh and his sister Muskan Shaikh walked outdoors to play near their one-room home in CGS Colony, Sector 5, Sion Koliwada.

Tragedy in Rafah: Israeli Airstrike Claim Lives of Nine, Including Six Children

A house in Gaza’s southernmost city was targeted by an Israeli airstrike, resulting in the deaths of at least nine individuals, including six children, according to hospital officials on Saturday. This incident occurred amidst Israel’s ongoing offensive in the besieged Palestinian territory, which has persisted for nearly seven months.

Tensions in the already unstable Middle East have dramatically increased as a result of Israel’s battle against the Islamic militant organization Hamas.

According to Gaza’s civil defense, the late-Friday strike targeted a residential structure in the city of Rafah’s western Tel Sultan district. According to hospital records, the bodies of the six children, two women, and one male were brought to the Abu Yousef al-Najjar hospital in Rafah.

Pakistan: Unidentified Gunmen kill 5 Customs Officials, 2 Civilians in Dera Ismail Khan

An ambush by unidentified gunmen in Dera Ismail Khan city in Pakistan resulted in the tragic deaths of five Customs Intelligence officials and two civilians, including a five-year-old girl, according to The Express Tribune.

As per police reports, the incident occurred on Thursday while the Customs Intelligence team was conducting routine checks at Saggu in Dera Ismail Khan district. They faced heavy gunfire from attackers concealed in the nearby bushes.

“As a result of the ambush, the casualties occurred, comprising five Customs Intelligence officials and two innocent civilians,” they added.

A rescue 1122 team transported the bodies to the district headquarters hospital (DHQ). The individuals who lost their lives were identified as Shahab Ali Khan, Attar Alam, Akbar Zaman, Inayatullah, and Muhammad Aslam from the Customs Intelligence, along with civilians Safatullah and five-year-old Laiba Bibi, according to The Express Tribune.

Police revealed that during their initial investigation, they had discovered empty cartridges in the bushes.

As reported by The Express Tribune, the precise number of assailants, who subsequently fled the scene, could not be immediately determined.

Earlier today, Dawn News reported, citing the police, that another incident occurred in which a vehicle carrying five Japanese nationals was targeted by a suicide bomber on Friday in Karachi’s Landhi area.

The police stated that the Japanese nationals were injured in the incident. However, the terrorists involved in carrying out the attack were killed.

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) East, Azfar Mahesar, informed Dawn that the incident took place near Murtaza Chorangi in Landhi, adding that the five foreign nationals were traveling in a Hiace van.

“All five Japanese remained safe. However, the private security guard with them was injured,” he said.

Maharashtra: 4 labourers suffocate to death in a sewage treatment plant in Virar

Four labourers lost their lives due to suffocation while performing cleaning tasks inside a sewage treatment plant in Virar, Maharashtra. The individuals who passed away were identified as Shubham Parakar (28), Amol Ghatale (27), Nikhil Ghatale (24), and Sagar Tendulkar (29).

China Calls for “thorough investigation” into Suicide Blast Killing 5 Chinese engineers

China has urged for a “thorough investigation” following the death of five of its citizens in an assault on a convoy in Bisham tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shangla, as reported by Dawn.

According to Geo News, the deputy inspector general of police (DIG) for Malakand stated on Tuesday that a suicide bomber rammed his vehicle, packed with explosives, into the car carrying the Chinese nationals.

The attack resulted in the deaths of five Chinese nationals. Additionally, a Pakistani driver who sustained injuries was transferred to a local hospital, where he also passed away due to his injuries.

The official further mentioned that the Chinese nationals were engineers traveling from Islamabad to the Dasu camp in Kohistan.

The Chinese embassy in Pakistan has called for investigations into the attack and urged for “severe punishment” for those responsible.

“The Chinese embassy and consulates in Pakistan have immediately launched emergency work, demanding that the Pakistani side conduct a thorough investigation into the attack, severely punish the perpetrators and take practical and effective measures to protect the safety of Chinese citizens,” the embassy said in a statement.

According to Dawn, in a previous incident in July 2021, 13 people, including nine Chinese nationals, lost their lives when a coach transporting them to an under-construction tunnel site of the 4,300-megawatt Dasu hydropower project plunged into a ravine in the Upper Kohistan area following an explosion.

Despite initially labeling the incident as an accident, the Pakistan government later acknowledged the presence of explosives, with the then information minister stating that “terrorism could not be ruled out.”

In November 2022, an anti-terrorism court in Hazara sentenced two individuals to death after convicting them of plotting the attack.

Pakistan’s Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a release that the Bisham incident, along with recent terrorist attacks in Turbat and Gwadar, were “dastardly acts aimed at destabilising the internal security situation.”

“The whole nation stands in solidarity with our Chinese brothers and unequivocally condemns this cowardly act,” it added.

Pakistan’s Foreign office stated the attack was orchestrated by the “enemies of Pakistan-China friendship,” reiterating that the government would “resolutely act against all such forces and defeat them,” as reported by Dawn.

“The people and government of Pakistan stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our Chinese friends in this difficult time and extend sincere condolences to the families of the Chinese nationals killed in the attack,” the Foreign Office said in a statement.

“Pakistan and China are close friends and iron brothers. The life and safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan is of paramount importance. Pakistan will continue to work with our Chinese brothers in ensuring the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects and institutions in Pakistan,” it concluded.

Man Dies After Undergoing Surgery To Enhance Smile

According to authorities, a Hyderabad man died last week while undergoing surgery to improve his smile in preparation for his wedding.

Laxmi Narayana Vinjam, 28, died while having a ‘smile designing’ surgery at the FMS International Dental Clinic in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills on February 16, according to reports.

Laxmi Narayana Vinjam’s father has claimed that he died from anesthetic overdose.

Ramulu Vinjam stated that after his son fainted during operation, the personnel phoned him and requested him to attend to the facility. “We rushed him to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival,” he said.

He stated that his son had not notified them about the procedure. “He had no health issues; the doctors are to blame for his death,” Mr Vinjam stated.

K Venkateshwar Reddy, Station House Officer in Jubilee Hills, told NDTV that Laxmi Narayana arrived at the facility about 2.30 pm on February 16.

“At around 4.30 pm, he was taken into the operation theatre and the procedure went on for almost two hours. At around 7 pm, they had called his father and he was subsequently rushed to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills, where he was declared dead on arrival,” Mr Reddy said.

He claimed his body had been submitted for an autopsy. Laxmi Narayana got engaged a week ago and was getting married next month.

Following a complaint from his family, a case was filed against the clinic for negligence. “We are checking the hospital records and security camera footage,” officials said.

Nepalese protester dies in clash with police: Kathmandu district

A Nepalese protestor has lost his life in clashes with police in Lalitpur, Balkumari, Kathmandu district, in Balkumari, Lalitpuron Friday afternoon, police said. “We have confirmed that a protestor has passed away after being hit by teargas canisters,” said Neelam Karki, Superintendent of Police, via telephone.

On Friday afternoon, a group of protesters clashed with the Nepalese police after set fire to the vehicle of Nepal’s Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Prakash Jwala. The police then resorted to batons, teargas shells and bombs to control the mob.

Protesters took to the streets over the Employment Permit System (EPS) issue and later torched Minister Jwala’s vehicle (Pa 2 Jha 5861) at Balkumari in Lalitpur on Friday afternoon.

After more than an hour of clashes, the situation in the area adjacent to Nepal’s capital Kathmandu showed that the protesters were nowhere to be seen.
