The event took place on Wednesday at the additional family court in Tamil Nadu, as reported by The Times of India. The man, who works as a call taxi owner and driver, had been directed by the court to pay Rs. 2 lakh as an interim maintenance amount to his wife.

A man carrying two white bags, filled with coins, produced 20 bundles of Rs. 2 and Rs. 1 coins before the court. A video doing rounds on social media showed him leaving the building with the bags and getting them into a car.

Upon receiving the Rs. 80,000 in coins, the presiding judge asked the man to replace the amount with currency notes, according to court procedures. Complying with the order, the man returned the next day, Thursday, and submitted the money in notes.

The judge also reminded him to pay the remaining Rs. 1.2 lakh of the interim maintenance amount at the earliest, as per the court’s ruling.

The PSBB Millennium School received a threatening email on Sunday night, while the second school received a hoax call on Monday morning. Prompt action was taken by the police and a bomb squad, who quickly arrived at the PSBB Millennium School to conduct an investigation. Fortunately, no explosives were found on the premises.

A video taken outside the PSBB Millennium School showed police questioning individuals, and empty school buses entering the campus. Authorities are currently investigating to determine the source of the threatening email and hoax call.

Given that class 11 exams are ongoing, the police have stepped up security at both schools. Only individuals who have undergone thorough checks are being allowed entry onto the premises.

National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday detained three suspects in connection with the bomb blast case that occurred on October 23 in front of the Kottai Eswaran Temple in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu.

According to a statement from the NIA, those detained have been named as Mohammed Thoufeek, 25, Ferose Khan, 28, and Umar Faaruq, 39. The suicide bomber, Jamesha Mubeen, perished in the automobile blast.

According to the statement, a preliminary inquiry revealed that the deceased accused, Jamesha Mubeen, had planned to commit suicide and do significant damage to religious icons and monuments after accepting the ISIS “bayath” in order to terrorise the people.

Investigations have shown that the suspects Umar Faaruq and Ferose Khan participated in the conspiracy meetings that Jamesha Mubeen attended at Umar’s home in Coonor, Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris district, as well as supporting Jamesha Mubeen in the commission of terrorist acts.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been searching 45 places in Tamil Nadu as part of its ongoing investigation into the LPG cylinder explosion that happened in a car on October 23 in Coimbatore, according to sources.

On October 23, in the early hours of the morning, Jameesha Mubin, 29, was killed in a car explosion close to a temple in Coimbatore.

Early on Thursday, NIA officials began conducting raids at the homes of people connected to occurrences in places like Kottamedu, Ponvizha Nagar, Rathinapuri, and Ukkadam in conjunction with the state police.

Nearly 15 days after the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Counter Terrorism and Counter Radicalization (CTCR) division issued an order requesting that an investigation into the situation be launched, the Central Anti-Terrorism Agency conducted its extensive search.

A day after MK Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, suggested that the NIA look into the case, the MHA issued its directive.

Stalin, in a recommendation letter, to the MHA had requested to transfer the investigation of the case related to the car cylinder explosion in the Ukkadam area in Coimbatore to the NIA and directed police to ensure security in Coimbatore.

More than six people have been arrested by Tamil Nadu Police in connection with the case so far, and they have used the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act as grounds (UAPA).

Those jailed, according to information obtained, are Jameesha Mubin’s companions. Jameesha Mubin was found charred to death in suspicious circumstances after an LPG cylinder in the Maruti 800 he was driving exploded around 4 am near a temple.

As per the police Engineer Mubin, 25, was previously questioned by NIA officials in 2019 for potential ties to terrorism. He is identified as the case’s main defendant by name.

Mohammad Thalka (age 25), Mohammad Asarudheen (age 25), Muhammad Riyaz (age 27), Feroz Ismail (age 27), Mohammad Navaz Ismail (age 27), and Afsar Khan, a relative of the deceased, are among those arrested. The special investigation team picked Khan, the deceased’s cousin, two days before to the explosion.

The explosion happened in Ukkadam, a sensitive neighbourhood.

The state police claimed to have found explosive-making supplies at Mubin’s Ukkadam home during a raid. 75 kg of potassium nitrate, charcoal, aluminium powder, and sulphur, all of which are used in the manufacture of explosives, were also seized.

Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel have been deployed across Coimbatore on Tuesday, following the incident in which a man was charred to death in a car explosion triggered by an LPG gas cylinder blast. Security has been increased across the city.

The RAF has been sent in to conduct security and search operations in public spaces, including bus stops and train stations. After a man was burned to death when the automobile he was riding in exploded at Ukkadam, close to the well-known Sangameshwarar temple in the city, on Sunday morning, Coimbatore City Police detained five individuals late on Monday night.

The accused, identified as Mohammed Dhalha, Mohammed Azarudeen, Mohammed Riyas, Feroz Ismail, and Mohammed Navaz Ismail, have been remanded to police custody.

The body of the deceased recovered from the blast site has been identified as 25-year-old Jamesa Mubin.

The images from the nearby CCTV camera appeared to show five people allegedly removing a gunny bag from Mubeen’s home on Saturday, according to the police.
Police claim they found materials necessary to construct crude explosives, including potassium nitrate, aluminium, and sulphur, during a search of Mubin’s home in Ukkadam’s Kottaimedu neighbourhood.

We have also recovered nails and ball bearings from the spot where the explosion happened. We have identified the source of the cylinders and the car. This could not be a suicide attack, “said state Director General of Police C Sylendra Babu.

K Annamalai, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tamil Nadu, asserted that the incident was a terrorist act with ties to ISIS. He also raised concerns about the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) administration’s reluctance to properly investigate the explosion.

Taking to Twitter, Annamalai said, “Coimbatore Cylinder Blast is no more a ‘cylinder blast’. It’s a clear-cut terror act with ISIS links. Will CM Stalin come out in the open and accept this? For the past 12 hours, the TN government has been withholding this information. Is this not a clear failure of the state intelligence machinery and the DMK Govt.? ”
He further claimed that terror elements were active in the state.
“The accused who died during the course of planning this attack had clear-cut links to ISIS and was handled from outside the country. Still, some of the elements are active in TN soil. Go mercilessly after these nodes. “CM M.K. Stalin, please come out of your hiding and own your failure,” he added.
