BJP MP Dinesh Sharma has lauded Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his efforts in boosting the state’s economy through religious tourism. Sharma called it an “unprecedented” initiative that deserves recognition. The praise comes ahead of the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, a major event attracting millions of visitors.

Sharma Responds to Akhilesh Yadav

Sharma responded to Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav’s concerns about the government’s preparedness. He pointed out the success of the last Kumbh Mela under Yogi’s leadership, which was praised worldwide. This year, Sharma noted, around 40 crore people are expected to attend. He jokingly added, “After the Kumbh, don’t call him ‘Yogi Baba,’ but ‘Arth Prabandhan Baba’ (Economic Management Baba)” for his efforts in boosting the economy through religious tourism.

Invitation to SP and Congress Leaders

Sharma also urged SP and Congress leaders to visit the Mahakumbh. He believes they should witness the improvements and the preparations for this year’s event. According to Sharma, the transformation and better arrangements would be clear to anyone who attends.

Akhilesh Yadav’s Concerns

Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav expressed concerns about the government’s preparedness for the Mahakumbh. He highlighted unfinished work and questioned how the tasks could be completed in just 13 days. However, he also stated that his party members were ready to assist the government if needed. “If the Government wants any help, our party members are ready to help,” he said.

</excerpt>

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly’s winter session, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey announced that the Samajwadi Party (SP) would address the escalating communal tensions in the state, particularly focusing on the situation in Sambhal. Pandey emphasized the party’s commitment to holding the government accountable for any attempts to disrupt communal harmony.

Speaking to reporters, Pandey stated, “Tomorrow, we will give notice to the government regarding the communal incidents taking place and the efforts being made to disrupt harmony through riots. We will hold the government accountable for these incidents. Tomorrow is expected to witness significant uproar in the session.”

Responding to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s remarks about the recent discovery of a temple in Sambhal, Pandey questioned the timing of the temple’s recognition. “The Chief Minister spoke, and he has the right to do so. But why has the temple only been found now? Was it excavated, or was it already there and only recently recognized?” he asked.

Pandey reiterated the Samajwadi Party’s commitment to fighting against all forms of injustice across communities, highlighting issues such as unemployment and farmers’ grievances. He urged the government to address pressing matters in Badaun and Sambhal instead of avoiding discussions on these critical issues.

Criticizing the government for deflecting attention from key problems, Pandey remarked, “The biggest issue in the country today is unemployment. Farmers are facing numerous challenges, and to divert attention from these, the government is engaging in distractions. Why is the government afraid to answer the concerns of a state with 25 crore people?”

Additionally, Pandey expressed the Samajwadi Party’s opposition to the idea of early elections, contrasting it with Mayawati’s support for the proposal.

Yogi questioned 46-year closure of a historic temple in Sambhal

In response, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath questioned the 46-year closure of a historic temple in Sambhal and the lack of justice for victims of alleged violence during that period. He accused previous governments of neglecting faith and heritage, asking, “Did the administration suddenly build such an ancient temple overnight? Why have the culprits responsible for the massacre in Sambhal 46 years ago not been punished?”

Adityanath also raised hypothetical questions regarding developments in Ayodhya, stating that the transformation of the city and the construction of the Ram temple have brought happiness to residents and devotees. He accused certain groups of opposing these changes, claiming they had inserted the word “secular” into the Constitution, undermining its essence.

The Chief Minister’s comments followed the rediscovery and reopening of a 400-year-old Lord Shiva and Hanuman temple in Sambhal, which had been closed since 1978. The temple was uncovered during an inspection related to encroachment and electricity theft, with officials announcing plans to restore it to its original structure.

The Deepotsav in Ayodhya stands as a testament to the city’s rich spiritual, traditional, and cultural essence, bringing together people in a remarkable celebration of faith and unity.

</excerpt>

A wolf responsible for the deaths of at least eight people, including seven children and a woman, over the past two months in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district, has been captured by forest officials. The latest victim was an infant killed in an attack on Tuesday night.

How the Capture Was Executed

The wolf, part of a pack of six, was caught during a focused operation by the forest department. Officials used firecrackers to direct the wolf along a specific path before tranquilizing it and transporting it to a zoo. So far, four wolves from the pack have been captured, with two still at large.

Operation Bhediya: A Coordinated Effort

The Uttar Pradesh government launched ‘Operation Bhediya’ to capture the dangerous pack of wolves terrorizing the Mehsi tehsil in Bahraich. The operation, closely monitored by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, involved 16 teams dedicated to tracking and capturing the wolves.

Advanced Technology in Wildlife Capture

To ensure the safety of the residents and capture the wolves, the Forest Department deployed drone cameras and thermal drone mapping techniques. These high-tech methods allowed the teams to effectively track the wolves’ movements. Additionally, the officials used a creative approach by setting fire to elephant dung to create a scent that mimicked the presence of elephants. Wolves, which typically avoid large animals like elephants, were pushed away from inhabited areas by this tactic. Traps with bait were also strategically placed in remote areas to lure the wolves.

Safety Measures in Villages

To protect the villagers, District Magistrate Monika Rani has initiated the installation of doors on houses that lack them and has increased night patrolling in all villages. ASHA workers have been assigned the task of raising awareness among the villagers about the ongoing wolf threat and the precautions they should take.

</excerpt>

A woman has filed a police complaint against her husband, accusing him of issuing a ‘triple talaq’ after she praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and recent development projects in Ayodhya. The complaint, lodged on Saturday, alleges that the woman’s husband reacted angrily to her comments, leading to her being physically abused and subsequently divorced.

According to the complaint, the woman, identified as Mariam, expressed her admiration for the development work and safety measures implemented by Yogi Adityanath and Narendra Modi. Her positive remarks about the BJP-led government were reportedly met with hostility from her in-laws, who beat her and sent her back to her parents’ home.

Mariam claimed that her husband demanded dowry beyond what her family could provide. In response to her praise of the government’s efforts for women’s safety, her husband issued a ‘triple talaq’, a form of instant divorce practiced in some Muslim communities.

Bahraich Superintendent of Police (SP) Vrinda Shukla confirmed that a case has been filed based on Mariam’s complaint. “The woman is from Bahraich, within the jurisdiction of the Jarwal Road police station, and was married in Ayodhya. She reported that during a family visit to Ayodhya, she praised the recent development work, as well as Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,” Shukla said.

The police have registered a case under the relevant laws and have dispatched a team to arrest Mariam’s husband and any other individuals named in the complaint. The authorities are taking immediate action to address the allegations and ensure justice for the woman.

Hyderabad MP and AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi voiced strong criticism on Saturday regarding the Uttar Pradesh government’s new directive requiring all shops and eateries along the Kanwar Yatra routes to display the names of their owners and employees.

In a tweet, Owaisi highlighted the implications of the order, sharing a TOI article and stating, “Fear on UP’s kanwar routes: This is the reality of hatred for Indian Muslims. Credit for this visceral hatred goes to political parties and leaders of Hindutva, as well as so-called lip-servicing secular parties.”

The Uttar Pradesh government issued this mandate on Friday, stating that it aims to facilitate the smooth conduct of the Kanwar Yatra and to uphold the sanctity of the pilgrimage. Additionally, authorities indicated that they would take action against vendors selling ‘halal-certified’ products.

Yogi Adityanath referred to them as ‘uncle-nephew’ (chacha-bhatija) in his speech, alleging they didn’t follow fair practices during recruitments.

The Chief Minister made these claims while distributing appointment letters to 7,720 newly selected lekhpals through the UP-Subordinate Services Selection Commission. He emphasized the importance of fair hiring to maintain trust and ensure good governance.

Yogi Adityanath said, “The ‘uncle-nephew’ duo were involved in corruption before 2017 during government hiring.” He also mentioned that the state government is working to fill an additional 4,700 positions to strengthen administration in Uttar Pradesh.

These allegations have sparked political tensions in the state, with the Samajwadi Party expected to respond soon. The accusations come as Uttar Pradesh prepares for elections, making these claims and responses very important.

Yogi Adityanath’s comments show the growing tension between political opponents as the state prepares for upcoming challenges. Allegations of corruption in government hiring processes before 2017 bring up issues of how the state is run and who is responsible.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow and ordered an investigation. Both central and state governments announced financial aid of two lakh rupees each for the victims’ families. The President, Prime Minister, and Home Minister, along with other leaders, expressed their condolences.

Survivor Pooja recounted that after the satsang ended, a rush through uneven fields caused people to fall and be trampled. She managed to stay clear of the chaos but witnessed the intensity of the crowd’s movement. Eyewitness Rajanshree, saved by a volunteer, witnessed injuries and a child being trampled. Many from her village remain unaccounted for.

In the aftermath, Baba’s followers searched frantically for loved ones amid the confusion. Guddo Devi from Kasganj described her daughter Priyanka being trampled as they left the satsang. Despite efforts to reach the hospital, Priyanka tragically passed away.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath vowed a thorough investigation into whether the incident was accidental or deliberate. Former policeman Surajpal, now known as Narayan Sakar Vishw Hari, retired from service to focus on satsangs after conducting them for 17 years. His gatherings, managed by a uniformed team, occasionally face logistical challenges.

Baba claimed divine inspiration post-retirement, attracting followers including civil servants and politicians. Tragedy struck further as policeman Rajneesh suffered a fatal heart attack while aiding the medical response to the incident.

</excerpt>

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has exuded confidence that the Modi government will be re-elected with an overwhelming majority in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

He remarked that the people are strongly supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a Viksit (developed) and Aatmanirbhar (self-reliant) Bharat.
Addressing reporters after casting his vote in the last phase of the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday morning, the Chief Minister said, “The final phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, is taking place today across 57 seats in 8 states. This includes 13 seats in Eastern Uttar Pradesh: Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, Bansgaon, Salempur, Ballia, Ghosi, Robertsganj, Ghazipur, Varanasi, Chandauli, and Mirzapur, where voting is also being conducted today.”

He mentioned that over the past two and a half months, various political parties have presented their issues to the people to fulfil the aspirations of the general public. They have presented the work and achievements of their governments.
“To elect the new government in the country, people have done a comparative analysis of the performances of the previous governments and the Modi govt in the last 10 years. Considering the support received across the nation, it can be said that when the results come on June 4, those individuals, parties, and governments that have worked towards a self-reliant and developed India, preserving heritage while fostering development, showing compassion for the poor, and ensuring a bright future for the youth, will receive full support”, CM Yogi added.

Yogi claimed that everyone has seen India change over the previous ten years, and that in the last seven years, they have seen a new Uttar Pradesh run by a double-engine administration. Work was done for the youth, farmers, businesspeople, women, and every other segment of society under PM Modi’s direction in an atmosphere of security, respect, and progress.

CM Yogi thanked the voters from the bottom of his heart for their enthusiasm, even if it was currently 50 degrees outside. He said that in spite of this, people’s desire to vote in order to uphold democracy has not decreased.
To fulfill the dream of a Viksit (developed) and Aatmanirbhar (self-reliant) Bharat, the Chief Minister asked citizens to vote despite their religious and caste affiliations.

He said, “To make the country the world’s third-largest economy in the next three years and to bring prosperity to the lives of all citizens, the people’s blessings are with PM Modi and the BJP.”

The CM urged people to rise above caste and religion and vote to realize the vision of a Viksit (developed) and Aatmanirbhar (self-reliant) Bharat. He said, “To make the country the world’s third-largest economy in the next three years and to bring prosperity to the lives of all citizens, the people’s blessings are with PM Modi and the BJP.”

Yogi went on to say that the government has made extraordinary progress in ensuring women’s safety, dignity, and independence under PM Modi’s direction. Women’s empowerment has taken a new turn thanks to programs like the Matru Vandana Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, and Shakti Vandana Act.

Young voters should actively engage in the campaign to promote the new India, which has first-rate infrastructure and is gaining respect from all around the world, CM Yogi advised them.

He also cautioned young voters against parties and individuals trying to mislead them. “Our future is bright with the goal of a self-reliant and developed India, and the youth should cast their votes with this goal in mind”, he remarked.
Yogi said, “PM Modi has recognized only four castes: youth, poor, women, and farmers and has their complete support.”

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave a sharp response to the statements made by opposition leaders regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s spiritual-nationalist pursuits. In response to the questions asked, he said “PM Modi’s spiritual devotion is a complete national devotion, as he serves Mother India tirelessly, without fatigue, without pause. However, those who indulge in corruption, immorality, and misconduct cannot understand the importance of spiritual devotion. To understand spiritual devotion, one needs a mindset like that of India and Indians. There should be a sentiment of dedication to India’s eternal values and ideals”, he added.

In response to a question about the review meeting of the parties in the INDIA bloc, CM Yogi Adityanath remarked that it is good that the leaders of the parties of the opposition will sit together before June 4 because, as many parties as there are in this alliance, there will be as many disputes after June 4. They will all then blame each other, and insult each other.
Responding to questions raised by SP workers during the controversy over the arrangement of EVM protection before the vote count, he said, “Those who did not find candidates for 80 seats in the state are bound to blame someone or the other. These people have become tired of blaming EVMs. Now, by accusing the Election Commission, they are undermining the atmosphere of democracy.”
He said that the Election Commission is conducting the election process with complete impartiality, transparency, and honesty. Wherever there were some complaints, the Commission took prompt action. However, the SP has no faith in democracy. They have always insulted the Constitution made by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

“Democracy sounds ridiculous coming from the mouths of those who give space to mafias and terrorists. For SP, it can only be said, ‘As you sow, so shall you reap'”, Yogi stated.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, adhering to the mantra of “Pehle Matdaan, Fir Jalpaan” exercised his voting right at booth number 249 of Gorakhnath Primary School (Girls) on Saturday, the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

He arrived at the booth early in the morning at seven o’clock and became one of the first voters at his booth. After casting his vote, he interacted with the media and then proceeded to Gorakhnath Temple.

Voting started in the last 57 parliamentary constituencies at 7 am today across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

During his visit to the Gorakhpur Temple on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath engaged in a heartwarming interaction with children, spreading joy and blessings. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh exchanged pleasantries with the young visitors, offering words of encouragement and gently placing his hand on each child’s head to bless them for success in their studies and endeavours. As a token of affection, he also distributed chocolates to the children, eliciting smiles all around.

CM Yogi’s visit to the Gorakhpur Temple follows his earlier prayers and homage-paying rituals at the revered site. On Tuesday, he offered prayers at the Gorakhnath Temple and paid his respects at the samadhi of his late guru, Mahant Avedyanath. Having embarked on a whirlwind election tour to four Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi stayed overnight at the Gorakhnath Temple on Monday before resuming his engagements the following day.

During his visit to the temple complex, CM Yogi took the time to visit the cowshed (gaushala), where he interacted with the cows by their names and fed them bread (roti) and jaggery. His hands-on approach and affinity towards the animals reflected his commitment to the welfare of all beings.

Meanwhile, addressing a rally in Gorakhpur, CM Yogi emphasized the significance of the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha election, framing it as a contest between Ram devotees and traitors. Asserting that only a true devotee of Lord Ram deserves to lead the nation, he rallied public support behind the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by invoking the spirit of devotion and patriotism.

In his impassioned speech, CM Yogi criticized the Congress and Samajwadi Party, accusing them of being anti-Ram and undermining the values and sentiments of millions of devotees. He called upon the electorate to reject those who oppose the construction and reverence of the Ram temple, emphasizing that the election represents a clash between faith and betrayal, with the future of the nation hanging in the balance.

Speaking at a public rally in Jaunpur, CM Yogi criticized the opposition parties, stating, “They create chaos and stampede-like situations every day.”

Asserting his party’s commitment to secure a resounding victory in the upcoming elections, CM YogI Adityanath expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects, aiming for an ambitious target of 400 Lok Sabha seats. “We also want (to win) the Jaunpur seat.
Yogi Adityanath warned against the potential consequences of electing the Congress and SP alliance, alleging their intention to reintroduce inheritance tax. Drawing historical parallels, he likened the proposed tax to the ‘Jaziya’ enforced by Aurangzeb, framing it as an unjust imposition on Hindus.

With Uttar Pradesh playing a pivotal role in the electoral landscape, the alliance between the Congress and SP has set the stage for a fiercely contested battle. As per their agreement, the Samajwadi Party is contesting 63 seats, while the Congress is vying for 17.

The ongoing Lok Sabha elections, conducted in seven phases, have witnessed significant voter turnout and political fervor. With two more rounds of polling scheduled on May 25 and June 1, the nation awaits the final outcome, slated to be announced on June 4.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his congratulations to Kumar, recognizing his appointment. Residents of all ages, including youths, women, elders, and children, enthusiastically danced and waved saffron flags adorned with the image of Shri Ram, extending a festive greeting to the ‘Gorakshpeethadhishwar.’ Amid the rhythmic beats of drums, they chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Thanks Yogiji.’ Flowers were showered on the Chief Minister during his journey from the airport to the temple, and various folk artists performed at different locations to honor the CM.

The people’s expressions of joy were acknowledged by ‘Gorakshpeethadhishwar’ and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who smiled and exchanged greetings with the crowd. This visit marked Adityanath’s first return to Gorakhpur after the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla at the grand Ram Temple on January 22.

Despite his busy schedule as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the past seven years, Yogi Adityanath has regularly visited Gorakhpur. The Gorakshpeeth has played a crucial role in the conceptualization, prolonged struggle, and eventual construction of the Ram temple.

The press release highlighted the historical involvement of Gorakshpeeth in the Ram temple movement, noting the leadership of Mahant Digvijaynath in 1949 and Mahant Avedyanath in the nineties. Mahant Avedyanath, the lifelong president of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yagya, expressed the last wish to build the Shri Ram temple.

Yogi Adityanath, succeeding Avedyanath, dedicated himself to fulfilling this mission, turning the dream into reality. During his parliamentary tenure, he raised the issue of the Ram Temple, and as Chief Minister, he wholeheartedly worked towards realizing his Guru’s dream, culminating in the foundation stone being laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 5, 2020.

During his visit to Gorakhnath Temple, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath worshipped Guru Gorakhnath and paid homage to his guru, ‘Brahmalin’ Peethadhishwar Mahant Avedyanath, at the Samadhi site. The streets were filled with people forming a human chain at various locations, including Dharamshala Market, Vishwakarma Temple, and Tarang Crossing, expressing their joy and showering flowers on the CM. Folk artists and NCC and Scout cadets also joined in the celebrations. MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, Mayor Dr Manglesh Srivastava, MLA Vipin Singh, and Mahant Ravindradas of Kalibari were present among others during the occasion.

</excerpt>

In a historic moment eagerly awaited by Hindus worldwide, the Ayodhya Ram Mandir is set to be inaugurated on January 22, 2024. The birthplace of Lord Rama, Ayodhya, is preparing for a grand ceremony that will witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi consecrating the idol of Lord Ram lalla in the newly constructed temple.

The construction of the Ram Mandir has been a centuries-old aspiration, marred by disputes, particularly with the Babri Masjid. However, a pivotal moment came in 2019 when the Supreme Court of India granted land to the Ram Mandir Trust, enabling the construction to proceed.

The auspicious time for Pran Pratistha, the consecration of the idol, is set for a mere 84 seconds, from 12:29 minutes 8 seconds to 12:30 minutes 32 seconds. The selected Muhurta, advised by astrologer Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, is considered the most accurate for this sacred ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on January 22. The guest list for the event, meticulously curated by the Trust, includes prominent figures such as the Dalai Lama, Baba Ramdev, industrialists Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani, actors Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and others.

Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, has confirmed that the idol of Lord Ram will be placed in the temple on January 22, marking the date of ‘Pran Pratishtha.’ The construction of the Ram Mandir, carried out by L&T Corporation at a budget of Rs 18,000 Crore, is expected to be completed by January 24, making it one of India’s architectural marvels and the world’s largest temple.

In light of the momentous occasion, the government has declared a half-day holiday for all central government offices on January 22. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has designated the consecration ceremony as a “rashtra utsav” (national festival) in Uttar Pradesh, with educational institutions observing a holiday and a prohibition on liquor sale.

This cultural and religious landmark is not limited to Ayodhya or Uttar Pradesh alone; it has garnered nationwide attention and acknowledgment. Several states, including Goa, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Tripura, Chandigarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Puducherry, have announced holidays and restrictions to commemorate the Ayodhya Ram Temple ceremony. This widespread acknowledgment underscores the cultural significance of the event, transforming it into a national celebration.

As the countdown to January 22 begins, the Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration promises to be a momentous occasion deeply embedded in India’s cultural and religious heritage.

</excerpt>

On Thursday, at a session chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at Lok Bhavan, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet approved eight crucial proposals, ushering in transformative changes across a variety of industries.

An official statement from the Chief Minister’s Office disclosed that among the approved initiatives was the long-awaited Semi-Conductor Policy 2024. This strategic move positions Uttar Pradesh as the fourth state in India to adopt the policy, signaling a significant leap in the semiconductor manufacturing sector. Experts hail this decision as a milestone, with the policy expected to attract massive investments into the state, setting it on the path to becoming a leader in semiconductor manufacturing.

The cabinet’s approval also brought good news for sugarcane farmers, as an increase in sugarcane prices was given the nod. Minister of Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development, Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan, revealed that State Advised Prices (SAP) for various varieties have been adjusted for the crushing season 2023–24, providing a substantial boost to farmers.

Furthermore, the cabinet granted approval for the establishment of three new universities in the state. Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay announced the green light for JSS University in Noida, Saroj University in Lucknow, and Sharda University in Agra under the private sector.

In a historic nod to the state’s rich history, the cabinet also approved changing the name of Mundera Nagar Panchayat in Gorakhpur to Chauri Chaura, commemorating the centenary year of the Chauri Chaura incident during the independence movement.

Emphasizing the economic significance of these decisions, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna highlighted the changes in the Uttar Pradesh Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Promotion Policy, exempting private MSME units and PLEDGE parks from conversion fees for altering the land use of agricultural land.

The cabinet further solidified its commitment to urban development by exempting Metro Rail, RRTS, and their assets from acquisition under the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959.

These decisions mark a momentous stride towards progress and development in Uttar Pradesh, setting the stage for substantial economic growth and enhanced quality of life for its residents.

The Ayodhya administration is working on installing the world’s longest solar light line in preparation for the upcoming ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple.
The initiative aims to connect several previously segmented ghats seamlessly, with the administration working tirelessly to create a stunning visual spectacle from Guptar Ghat to Jhunki Ghat. The project aligns with the preparations for the Lord Ram Pran Pratishtha ceremony scheduled in Ayodhya, which has garnered global attention.

In conjunction with the grand event, the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is set to launch a massive cleanliness campaign from Makar Sankranti in Ayodhya.
The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and scheduled for January 22, has attracted notable attention, with invitations extended to several VVIP guests from India and abroad. However, Congress leaders, including national president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, have declined the invitations, characterizing the event as associated with the BJP and the RSS.

The main rituals for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla are set to commence on January 16, led by priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit from Varanasi. The festivities in Ayodhya will span from January 14 to January 22, marked as the Amrit Mahotsav.

To accommodate the influx of thousands of devotees expected to converge in Ayodhya for the grand ceremony, arrangements are being made for a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya, during which devotees will be fed. Tent cities are also being erected to host the anticipated crowd, with the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust ensuring arrangements for 10,000-15,000 people. </excerpt>

To minimise deaths due to lightning in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to establish a lighting detection sensor network in the state along with installing a large number of early warning systems, the Chief Minister’s office said in a statement.

Under this initiative, 50 new Lighting Detection Sensors will be installed across the state, in addition to 5,000 early warning systems to send real-time lightning alerts to the public.
Additionally, the state government is also conducting awareness and training programs for lightning resilience. Relief Commissioner GS Navin Kumar informed that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given necessary guidelines to minimise casualties due to lightning in the state at a high-level meeting held recently.

In line with his directive, a survey was conducted and the need for establishing a network of 50 new lightning detection sensors across the state and installing early warning systems in sensitive areas was felt.

The proposal to carry out the exercise was presented to the Chief Minister, who approved it. As part of the decision, the establishment of the lightning detection sensor network will be carried out in three phases across the state.

In the first phase, 37 districts will be covered, followed by 20 districts in the second phase, and 19 districts in the third phase. The network will be set up with technical support from the Meteorological Department.

It is noteworthy that a survey was conducted to minimise casualties from lightning, revealing that the number of lightning detection sensors installed by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and the Meteorological Department for accurate prediction is insufficient. Therefore, a pilot project has been implemented in the Dudhi block of Sonbhadra, the most affected by lightning, where an early warning system has been installed. It was found that to achieve accurate prediction of lightning strikes throughout the state, it is essential to establish a lightning detection sensor network and an early warning system.

The survey has identified 5,000 sensitive locations across all 75 districts of the state where the installation of early warning systems, including alerts for lightning and other disasters, is deemed necessary. Consequently, the decision has been made to install early warning systems at all 5,000 identified sensitive locations in the state.

In collaboration with the Relief Commissioner’s office and the Meteorological Department, based on the survey, a web-based integrated early warning system has been prepared.

Through this system, alert calls are sent one hour before lightning strikes to 2.15 crore gross route workers and community members, resulting in a significant reduction in casualties.
On the instructions of CM Yogi, the Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority is implementing the “Lightning Safety Awareness Programme” to reduce casualties caused by natural disasters in the state.
This programme is being implemented in the highly affected and sensitive districts of Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Prayagraj, and Lalitpur. Block-level workshops are being organised in all 51 development blocks of these districts and village-level workshops are being organised in all the panchayats.
Awareness programmes on lightning safety are also being conducted in all Gram Panchayats in these districts through the medium of microphones.
As a result, there has been a significant reduction in lightning-related casualties in the state with Lalitpur recording a 25 per cent drop in deaths, Prayagraj 52 per cent, and Sonbhadra recording a 30 per cent drop as of 2023-24, compared to 2021-22.

</excerpt>

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to make all necessary arrangements at the state government level to make the consecration ceremony of Shri Ramlala at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 other-worldly, unprecedented and unforgettable.

The Chief Minister has said that today the whole world is eagerly looking towards Ayodhya. Everyone wants to come to Ayodhya.

The whole country has become imbued with the spirit of Lord Shri Ram. This is also an opportunity for the global branding of Uttar Pradesh. He has said that the state government will leave no stone unturned to ensure a pleasant and satisfying experience for the guests coming for the consecration ceremony as well as tourists and devout attendees coming afterwards. With public cooperation, Ayodhya city will be the standard of safety, convenience and cleanliness.

In a high-level meeting on Tuesday, the Chief Minister reviewed various projects that are underway in Ayodhya and gave the necessary directions.

The following guidelines were issued by the Chief Minister in the meeting:

Now only a few days are left for the completion of the much-awaited ritual of enshrining Shri Ramlala in the grand and divine Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Avadhpuri. This Shri Ram temple will be a ‘Rashtra Mandir’, symbolising the cultural, spiritual and social unity of India.

This historic programme of “Pran Pratishtha” (consecration) is an occasion of joy, pride and self-satisfaction for crores of Sanatan believers. The whole country is imbued in the spirit of Shri Ram. Deepotsav will be celebrated at Har Dev Temple on January 22. Every Sanatan believer will welcome Ramlala by lighting the Ramjyoti in their homes or establishments. This is all unprecedented. It is an emotional moment.

It is our good fortune that we reside in the region where Lord Shri Ram incarnated. The whole world is eagerly looking towards Ayodhya today.

Along with the consecration of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, there is an opportunity for global branding of Uttar Pradesh. After the consecration, a large number of devotees and tourists will come to Avadhpuri every day. All arrangements for excellent hospitality should be made so that they can have an other-worldly experience upon their arrival in Uttar Pradesh.

Dignitaries from all over the country are arriving for the consecration ceremony of Ramlala. On such a historic occasion, the entire Awadhpuri should be decorated grandly. In coordination with Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Teerth Kshetra Trust and central agencies, all necessary arrangements should be made for traffic management and the welcoming of guests as per protocol.

Cleanliness is crucial for hospitality. Everyone will have to work on this. Get public support. Deploy additional manpower. Be it a main road or a street, there should be no dust or filth. There are dustbins placed at various places. There should be arrangements for waste management.

The restaurant or store run by the state government in Avadhpuri should be established under the name “Mata Shabari”. Similarly, the night shelter will be developed as “Nishadraj Guhya Guest House”. Similarly, other buildings will also be named after the characters of the Ramayana period.

After January 22, Ram devotees from all over the world will arrive in Ayodhya. For their convenience, signage in different languages should be installed throughout the city. Signage should be in the languages included in the Schedule of the Constitution and the nine languages of the United Nations.

Smart signage should be installed on Prayagraj-Ayodhya, Gorakhpur-Ayodhya, Lucknow-Ayodhya, and Varanasi-Ayodhya routes. Information should be disseminated in different languages. There should be no encroachment on these routes. There should be cleanliness and no street vendors should be there. There should be availability of cranes and ambulances. For this, instructions should be given to the concerned districts by the Chief Minister’s Office.

Make preparations for the transportation of the devotees and tourists from Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi to Lucknow by Volvo buses and helicopters for their arrival in Ayodhya. Three helipads are ready in Ayodhya; they should be properly utilised.
There should be no compromise on the security, convenience and cleanliness of Ayodhya.

There should be continuous, strong security arrangements in Ayodhya during the consecration ceremony and thereafter. Implement the Safe City project immediately, without any delay. Install CC TV cameras. Activate the ICCC of Ayodhya before January 22.

There should be excellent hospitality facilities for devotees and tourists.
There should be no encroachment anywhere in Ayodhya. Install railings on both sides of Naya Ghat and Tedhi Bazaar Road. The railing should also be decorated. Public toilets should be cleaned regularly. Ensure the cleanliness of restrooms at fuel pumps.

After the formation of the government in 2017, the tradition of Saryu ji’s aarti was started. It needs to be made more organised and attractive. Archakas should also be trained.

Develop a digital tourist app for Ayodhya containing information about all the basic facilities and important places in Ayodhya.

As the historic consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya approaches, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address attendees at the grand event from the ‘Singh Dwar,’ the primary entrance to the temple, according to official sources on Thursday. The consecration ceremony, scheduled for January 22, will witness the Prime Minister inaugurating the grand temple and opening its gates to the public.

With lakhs of devotees expected to converge in Ayodhya for the momentous occasion, preparations are in full swing. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust, responsible for the construction and management of the temple, is convening a crucial meeting today. Discussions will revolve around the installation of the idol of Lord Ram inside the sanctum sanctorum during the consecration ceremony.

The meeting will delve into the intricate details of the consecration ceremony’s preparations, including the selection of the idol of Ram Lalla. Trust secretary Champat Rai revealed earlier that a 51-inch tall idol of Lord Ram, resembling a five-year-old Ram Lalla, will be chosen from three designs based on divineness and a child-like appearance.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, partaking in a cleanliness campaign in Ayodhya, emphasized the collective effort to maintain the cleanliness of the revered city ahead of the grand event. The campaign, themed “Swachh Rahe Shri Ram Ka Dham” (Lord Ram’s place should be cleaned), aims to ensure the pristine surroundings of Ayodhya.

In a briefing, trust secretary Champat Rai outlined the monumental construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. He detailed the utilization of 21-22 lakh cubic feet of stone in the entire structure, emphasizing its unprecedented scale in North and South India over the past 100-200 years. The temple’s foundation comprises a 56-layered artificial rock, while the plinth incorporates 17,000 granite blocks. The temple structure features five lakh cubic feet of pink-coloured sandstone from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, and the sanctum sanctorum is crafted from pure white Makrana marble.

Adding to the significance of the Prime Minister’s visit, Narendra Modi is expected to arrive in Ayodhya on Saturday to inaugurate the revamped Ayodhya airport and railway station, designed in alignment with the temple’s architecture. The city is buzzing with anticipation as it prepares to witness this historic moment.
