While talking to the mediapersons in Hubbali, Bommai said, “Now that they are in power we know what they will do, if there is an injustice to the masses we will fight against it, fight legally and politically. To change everything for freedom when it comes to power is the word of arrogance.” “Before the election, we said that Congress is a reverse-gear government. Now it is known as the reverse. The work we have done on behalf of the people is also going backwards. The guarantee given by them will also be reversed. People also know the effect of this. He is doing revenge politics. People of the state are paying attention,” he added.

His statements came as a reaction to Minister Priyank Kharge’s comment. Kharge on Wednesday said the new Congress government would either revise or withdraw orders, legislation and policies which went against the interests of the state under the previous BJP government, including cow slaughter, school textbook revision and anti-conversion.

“The state president Nalin Kateel will not step down. Today, some MLAs were present at the state BJP office. We accepted our defeat humbly. Reacting to the bandh call given by the Congress party on 9 March against corruption, the CM told reporters here on Monday that the scams done by the Congress party are not one or two.

The time has come for that party to become extinct. Those leaders have given a call for a bandh, thinking that they can write their political future through protests. It is like they are daydreaming, and none will support it.

Basavaraj Bommai went on to say that people who make allegations must be clean-handed, and then they will have some value. But the Congress leaders have indulged in a number of corruption cases, starting from small items like pillows, mattresses, coffee, and biscuits all the way to irrigation.

When Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister of Karnataka, he set a target for all the ministers. Ask M B.Patil, Dr H C. Mahadevappa, or K J. George about the target assigned to them. The Congress Party is replete with corruption, and their approach will not entice the voters. The people will give a befitting reply during the upcoming state assembly election.

Reacting to a question regarding the re-inauguration of the Shivaji Maharaj statue in Belagavi, he said the previous CM, B. S. Yediyurappa, had released Rs 50 lakh for this purpose. The Congress leaders have done this drama purely for the false prestige. It is not correct to politicise in the name of the national leaders.

On the arrest of one person in connection with the Mangalore cooker blast case, the CM said ISIS, an international terror organization, has claimed responsibility for it. The KPCC President, D.K. Shivakumar, had termed this incident a normal bomb. Now, what will Shivakumar say?

Various people have been killed due to the leopard attack in the state capital vicinity. After which Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced a compensation of Rs 15 lakh for families of those killed in these attacks.

Talking to the media CM Bommai said, “Compensation will also be provided to the families of those killed in leopard attacks, as was given to the families of those killed in elephant attacks.”

“Earlier it used to be near the forest. Now the forest department has taken serious note of what is happening around Bengaluru. Efforts are being made to hunt it for the past several days and a trap has also been set,” Bommai said.

Meanwhile, the respective department has been instructed to catch the leopard alive and release it into the forest.

“In Bengaluru and Mysuru zone there are also leopards around the elephant corridor. A special team has been formed to prevent leopard attacks and has been told to take a specific action,” CM Bommai said.

Moreover, to control and catch the leopards who have strayed from the forest the team will conduct operations.

Earlier, on Thursday in a leopard attack, a student was killed at Kebehundi village in T Narsipur taluk of Mysuru district. The victim who was attacked by the leopard has been identified as Meghana.

Another dead was also reported from Chamarajanagar near the Mysuru border.

However, in Kumbalagodu, Devanahalli, and surrounding localities of Bengaluru leopards were spotted.

Furthermore, the search operation is underway in both cities. The authorities have urged people to maintain caution.

Karnataka Chief Minister slammed former CM Siddaramaiah for allegedly enjoying on the political expenses of the central government during his tenure.

During the Congress regime Bommai said that the rice for ‘Anna Bhagya’ scheme was given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi but it was filled in sacks and distributed by the then CM Sddaramaiah. It was a typical ‘Siddaramaiah’s jathra’

Speaking after inaugurating BJP’s Jan Sankalp Yatra in Koppa in Chikmagalur district on Sunday, he said the Congress Party which ruled for 75 years had given piped water only to 25 lakh households.

CM Bommai said that, “Those who could not give water ruled them and such people cannot help people to lead life. Siddaramaiah ruled the State for five years but didn’t do anything. He closed Lokayukta and started the Anti-Corruption Bureau only to file ‘B’ reports in over 50 cases. This was the style of the Congress Government. “Why did they not start a medical college in Chikmagalur? “

“Let us vow to remove the Congress government from the roots and throw it out. Time has come to build New India from New Karnataka. The people must make up their mind to vote bank BJP to power in the State,” he further added.

Bommai highlighted that the incumbent government has given importance to the education field because of which it has started constructing 8000 Viveka Classrooms in one year. A residential school in the name of Brahmashree Narayana Guru, hostels for SC/ST students and 50 Kanakadasa Hostels for backward classes. He said that a double engine government is in power in Karnataka and has built 6000 km National Highway, constructed ports and implemented Jal Jeevan Mission. Tapped water has been provided to 30 lakh houses in just one year. The CM said the government has decided to upgrade Sringeri Government Hospital to 100 beds. The construction of the hospital building will start within two months.

While citing the issues of encroachment problems of Coffee growers, CM said that, “”I am aware of the problems of encroachment in the Malnad region and the Department of Revenue will soon find out a solution to the problems of Coffee growers. A sum of Rs 5.8 crore has been released for repairs of bad roads and another Rs 5 crore additional grant was released on Saturday.”

At an event on Saturday, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai put out the suggestion of enhancing the Kannada medium schools in other states. For the sake of Kannada-speaking citizens in other states, particularly those in border regions, he said, these schools need to be supported.

Speaking at the Karunada Sambhrama event, organised by News 18 group, Chief Minister Bommai said, “We are taking steps to improve Kannada medium schools in other states. We need to protect our language and culture and it stands to be a major responsibility of our government. The development will also focus Kannada medium schools at border areas in the state. These are the important targets of our government.”

The Chief Minister also said that “Karnataka is a special land and the identity of people must be protected”. “Our land and people receive special consideration in the country. Karnataka is also called as ‘God’s living country’ and I feel proud to serve the people of this state,” added Bommai.

At the same event, CM Bommai also congratulated eight Kannada scholars who bagged the prestigious ‘Jnanpith’ awards. He said, “Earlier, West Bengal was known as the land of literature and now Karnataka is also improving a lot in this area. I would like to happily say that no other state in the country bagged so many awards.”

He said that nobody has the right to take law and order into their hands and create violence, after a few state run buses were reportedly painted state-owned buses in Karnataka with pro-Maharashtra slogans.

CM Bommai has spoken out against the painting of pro-Maharashtra slogans on Karnataka buses

<excerpt>Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai condemned the alleged incidents of pro-Maharashtra slogans being painted on Karnataka buses on Friday and urged the Eknath Shinde government to take immediate action to put a stop to this.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai condemned the alleged incidents of pro-Maharashtra slogans being painted on Karnataka buses on Friday and urged the Eknath Shinde government to take immediate action to put a stop to this. According to Bommai, such incidents will cause a schism among the states, so Maharashtra should act quickly.

According to reports from Pune, a group of activists allegedly from a pro-Marathi organisation painted state-owned buses in black ink with slogans such as “Jai Maharashtra” and raised slogans against Bommai. The alleged incidents occur during a spat between the leaders of the two states over an inter-state boundary dispute over Belagavi.

“Our India is a union of states. Every state has got its own rights. These states were formed under the State Reorganisation Act. The law is very clear and it is the duty of the respective government to maintain peace, law and order and see that there is peace and tranquillity between the states,” Bommai told reporters here.

Reacting to the incidents of painting buses, he said “If somebody is doing it (painting vehicles), I condemn it and I urge the Maharashtra government to take immediate action and stop this.” “It will create a divide among the States. Therefore, the Maharashtra government should act swiftly, I especially urge the Deputy Chief Minister, the Home Minister of the state (Devendra Fadnavis) to take immediate action,” the Chief Minister said.

He said, “We are law-abiding people and we are within our rights.”

Maharashtra filed a case in the Supreme Court in 2004, and Karnataka has been fighting a legal battle that will continue in the future, according to Bommai. “We are confident that justice will be served. We will fight with everything we have. We will protect our borders and our people “Bommai stated.

“I made it very clear yesterday that our first priority is to fight a legal battle because ultimately, when the case is pending before the Supreme Court, ultimately the Supreme Court has to take a call,” Bommai said of holding talks with the Maharashtra government. According to him, the case filed by Maharashtra is not about the merits of the application (petition), but about the case’s maintainability.

“Article three (of the Indian constitution) is very clear about the state reorganisation. I don’t want to say anything. Let the Supreme Court take a call on that.” He reiterated an all-party meeting has been convened next week to discuss the boundary dispute issue. The Karnataka Chief Minister claimed that during a severe drought and acute drinking water crisis, the predominantly Kannada-speaking Panchayats in Jat Taluka in Maharashtra’s Sangli district had passed resolutions to merge with Karnataka, and his government had devised schemes to assist them by providing water.

Earlier this week, Maharashtra’s Eknath Shinde government appointed two ministers to work with the legal team on the upcoming Supreme Court hearing on the dispute. Soon after, Bommai stated that the state has assembled a team of top lawyers, including Mukul Rohatgi and Shyam Diwan, to fight its case.

The Congress party tweeted a video of school students patching potholes on a road and attacked the BJP-led administration on Monday. Basavaraj Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, was given the assignment and asked to observe the students. The students who are seen mending the stretch in the video appear to be surrounded by their teachers.

In the clip, some students are seen repairing the stretch; they are apparently surrounded by their teachers. A tweet from the state unit of Congress (roughly translated from Kannada) read, “The children themselves are covering the potholes as they (have) lost hope on the useless government.”

The grand old party continued to attack over claims of commission to public employees and tweeted, “If the government had done this work that the children are doing, they would have looted the 40% commission and left the potholes intact! @BSBommai at least look at these children and learn!”

According to reports by the local media, the video was shot near a government school in Mysuru’s Hunsur area.

Congress spokesperson Priyank Kharge also shared the video on Twitter and said that the government is busy painting schools saffron. “While Govt is busy painting school saffron, the students are filling up potholes. The priorities of the Govt is clear, please their masters,” he wrote. However, the ruling BJP is yet to respond on the viral video or the allegations made by the opposition Congress.

In recent years, pothole-related incidents have occurred often in Karnataka. A former soldier reportedly wrecked on the road owing to a pothole near Mandya, Karnataka, and died as a result. Kumaraswamy, a former chief minister and JDS leader, also blamed the BJP in power for his passing.

In the coming five years, Bengaluru would be the “economic capital” of India, according to Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. He expressed faith in the “hard-working” residents of the state capital, saying they will raise the state’s economy to the top level in the nation.

Speaking at the Bengaluru Tech Summit, Bommai said, “Karnataka has always been in the top position in attracting foreign investments and startups. The investors and entrepreneurs are now eyeing places around Bengaluru. The state also maintains a good ranking in the fields of agriculture, technology and economy. All this combined can elevate the tech capital as the economic capital in the next five years.”

Mumbai is currently regarded as India’s financial hub.

Innovators, according to Bommai, should use technology to advance humankind.

“I am highly confident about our engineers and scientists, and their hard work. Modern technology must be used for the betterment of mankind and for building a great society. Each person can be a part of the change and s/he must carry self-confidence without the fear of losing,” he underlined.

“Due to rapid urbanization, our government is planning to decentralize the development in Karnataka. A total of six new cities will be constructed soon in the state which will boost the economy and productivity of Karnataka,” he shared.

He also revealed a startup park in Bengaluru, next to Kempegowda International Airport, which will encourage aspiring entrepreneurs.

PM Modi virtually inaugurated the Invest Karnataka 2022 Summit on Wednesday. During the inauguration, he praised ‘Brand Bengaluru’. PM Modi said, “It is the place where there is both tradition and technology along with a unique confluence of nature and culture. When we talk of talent and technology, the first thing that comes to mind is the Brand Bengaluru, which has now been established worldwide.”

The three-day Invest Karnataka 2022 Summit, a Global Investors Meeting with more than 80 speaker sessions, intends to draw in potential investors and create a development strategy for the coming ten years.

“The youth of India has made more than 100 unicorns here and in the last eight years, they have successfully launched more than 80 thousand new startups,” PM Modi said. He said, Investment is India is not only for India but for inclusion, democracy, world and a better and cleaner-safer planet.

PM Modi said that that the New India now focuses on bold reforms, better infrastructure and the best talent in the country. “We’ve freed our investors from red tapism and given them a red carpet of opportunities. We encouraged them in various sectors that were earlier closed to private investments such as defence, drones, space and geospatial mapping.”

“Although it is a time of global crisis, economists and experts across the world are describing India as a bright spot. We continue to work on our fundamentals to strengthen the economy. The signed free trade deals give the world a glimpse of our preparedness,” he added.

The event’s international scope should provide Karnataka with an opportunity to introduce the world to its culture.
The partner nations of France, Germany, the Netherlands, South Korea, Japan, and Australia would each host a country session, welcoming high-level ministerial and business delegations from their respective nations. The event’s international scope is also anticipated to provide Karnataka with an opportunity to introduce the globe to its culture.

“We are expecting over Rs 5 lakh crore investment and the State High level Committee has already given clearance for investment of over Rs 2.8 lakh crore. This is our commitment to our investors and we are going to distribute the certificate of investment tomorrow. We will sign an agreement with new investors and give all the clearances in the next few days. The state of Karnataka is making a big leap in the industrial sector and it will be evident in tomorrow’s meet,” Chief Minister Bommai said on Tuesday after inspecting the arrangements for the three-day meet at Palace Ground.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai announced a 350 crore fund for the economic development of the shepherd community on Monday. Later, Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu B. Chavan congratulated him on putting the “Amrita Scheme” into action.

Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who represents a backward community, did not respond to the shepherds’ progress. Many schemes for the development of sheep farmers have been implemented by our government. The Anugraha Yojana provides compensation of Rs. 5,000 per sheep in cases of premature death. Only the BJP can ensure the development of all people, he claims.

With the development of sheep farmers in mind, the Amrita Swabhimani Yojana provides financial assistance of Rs.1.75 lakh to each of the 20,000 beneficiaries in the state’s sheep and wool producers’ cooperative societies. Farmers will profit from this project. Following the ban on cow slaughter, this scheme has gained traction. Farmers, according to Prabhu Chavan, should take advantage of this.

“Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who knows the mind of silent animals, said that he is working hard to develop the animal husbandry department like never before. He is a model Chief Minister who has implemented dozens of projects, including the establishment of Bank, Gomata Cooperative Society, implementation of Punyakoti Adoption Scheme, Haveri Hi-Tech Mega Dairy, distribution of compensation money to the owners of cows that died due to skin disease, free treatment and vaccination, appointment of 400 veterinary doctors, 250 veterinary assistants,” Prabhu Chavan praised the services of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai with open voice.

The Anugrah Yatava Yojana compensation for accidental death of 3 to 6 month old sheep and goats has been increased from 2,500 to 3,500. Minister Prabhu Chavan stated that the BJP government is working to solve farmers’ problems by providing many benefits to sheep farmers, such as building houses and improving the shepherds’ economic status.

According to a person with knowledge of the incident, Basavaraj Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, has asked V Somanna, the state’s minister of infrastructure development, for an explanation after he was reportedly seen slapping a woman at a public event.

At a ceremony on Saturday to distribute property title deeds in a village in Gundlupet, Chamarajanagar district, the minister allegedly slapped the woman when she approached him to discuss her complaint. A video of the incident that was captured on camera quickly became popular on social media.

The chief minister’s office has asked the minister to submit an explanation for his outrageous action by Monday, the person quoted above said.

“Deputy Speaker, Anand Mamani passed away on Saturday night and the government and the party are busy with his last rites, otherwise the explanation would have been submitted today itself,” the person added.

Media reports state that the woman pleaded the minister to assign her a plot after alleging that the selection procedure for choosing the recipients of land title deeds was rigged.

However, the minister’s office shared a video in which the woman said she only pleaded a plot be granted to her as she was too poor. “I bowed at his feet with the plea and the minister lifted me consoling me that he would help me but it was publicised that he beat me up,” the woman accompanied by her children said in the video.

Meanwhile, the minister was slammed for his actions by Congress general secretary and Rajya Sabha member Jairam Ramesh.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh in a tweet in Hindi said a “broom” (the AAP’s election symbol) is needed to rid the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of its arrogance that comes from power.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has assured IT businesses that a discussion will be held regarding the estimated loss of Rs 225 crore caused by rain and waterlogging in Bengaluru.

He promised to discuss the losses and compensation they had to bear as a result of the rain and waterlogging in the state capital when he calls. “We will call the IT companies and speak with them related to the issues that they are facing due to waterlogging. We’ll also discuss the compensation and other related damages that have been caused due to rain,” he said.

It follows the Chief Minister’s request from IT businesses to resolve the outer ring road issue.

Bengaluru was severely waterlogged earlier today as the city was battered by torrential rain that didn’t stop falling.

Bengaluru was severely waterlogged earlier as the city was battered by torrential rain that didn’t stop falling.

Waterlogging resulted in traffic delays and interruptions in the lives of everyday people in numerous sections of Bengaluru, including Koramangala.

One of the locals claimed that waterlogging had occurred as a result of the severe rain, making driving extremely challenging. “Too much rain has taken place. We woke up in the morning and saw that waterlogging had started. The water on the road had come up to the level of the divider. After that, we started pumping water out of the road and basement. My whole basement has got submerged under water,” a local resident stated.

Another resident claimed that because of a subpar drainage system, they have to pump out water on a yearly basis.

“This happens every year. Waterlogging takes place after the rain and we have to pump out water. There is no permanent solution. When the road was being made, the drainage system wasn’t prepared well. It leads to many difficulties for the public; many women have actually slipped and fallen into the water,” a local said.

Karnataka saw significant flooding earlier in July as a result of rain, which required the execution of rescue operations and relief efforts. Chief Minister Bommai had to look for financial aid as well.

We are taking stringent measures to control all these,” Bommai added.

Earlier on Thursday Karnataka Police said that they have arrested two people and a total of 15 people were also interrogated.

Further talking about the other killings Bommai said, “Killers of Masood have been arrested. The hunt is on for the culprits in the other two cases. It is not a simple murder. There are nefarious organizations behind the incidents. These outfits would be crashed. People will come to know about the measures in the next few days,”
