This traditional Bihari delicacy consists of whole wheat dough balls stuffed and baked, served with chokha, a mashed vegetable side. Ever since fans started showing interest in the love life of Kartik Aaryan, co-star Vidya Balan of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 teased Kartik on The Great Indian Kapil Show that he is dating or not. Vidya asked Kartik’s mother and so did Kapil that did she know who was dating Kartik?.

Vidya teased Kartik, saying, “What is her name?” She said that Kartik would be on his phone between takes while shooting and that she’d even try to catch a hint by standing nearby. “I could only hear him saying, ‘Me Too, Me Too.’ So I had no idea!” Vidya laughed, clarifying, “Not that Me Too!” Kartik joked, “Her name is Meetu.”

This Diwali, fans have plenty of options with the release of two major Bollywood films: Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Singham Again, featuring Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor, and Anees Bazmee’s horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan. Both films are the third entries in their respective franchises, raising the question: Do you need to watch the first two parts to enjoy these threequels independently?

Singham Again

The original Singham, released in 2011, introduced Ajay as the titular police officer, a role he reprises in this new installment. Kareena, who appeared as his love interest Avani in the sequel Singham Returns (2014), returns as well. However, viewers can enjoy Singham Again without prior knowledge of the earlier films. It’s only essential to know that Bajirao Singham, a cop, is married to Avani, a Cultural Ministry official, and they have a son.

Singham Again is more closely related to Sooryavanshi, the 2022 film that introduced Jackie Shroff’s character, Omar Bashir, who is one of the main villains in the new film. His backstory helps viewers understand the chief antagonist, Danger Lanka (Arjun Kapoor). Although Simmba (2018) is part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, it’s not necessary to watch it before viewing Singham Again.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

The first Bhool Bhulaiyaa premiered in 2007, directed by Priyadarshan and featuring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. The connection to the threequel lies solely in the character of Manjulika, portrayed by Vidya Balan. Audiences only need to know that she is a Bengali witch who was formerly a celebrated dancer in a royal court. In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Vidya’s Manjulika comes from a different lineage, kingdom, and contemporary identity.

The film also connects to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022), directed by Anees Bazmee, through the character Ruhaan, aka Rooh Baba, played by Kartik Aaryan. He returns with a new mission and a new love interest, portrayed by Triptii Dimri. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 revisits characters from the previous films, it is designed to stand completely on its own.

Comedy and horror can go hand in hand in Indian cinema has been proven once again by the super engaging and entertaining sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, in its 3rd edition. A true entertainer and a fun to watch with the family, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 keeps you hooked to the seat throughout the film. The film doesn’t drag for a moment at any point in time and keeps presenting many surprise elements as it progresses.

Anees Bazmee directed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 brings back Vidya Balan from its first prequel who makes her strong presence felt through the film as Manjulika. Kartik Aaryan as Rooh Baba and his lady love Tripti Dimri as Meera, a royal lineage, both enjoy an excellent screen chemistry.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, this time will give you a taste of Bengal from the attire to dance, and dialogues to diction. Ami Je Tomar… a powerful classical performance of Vidya Balan with Madhuri Dixit in the film will make you hold your breath stronger, and as good as Hukkush Phukkush by Kartik, Tripti and the rest of the gang.

Rooh Baba (Kartik Aaryan) is back to his conning tricks but he himself is now tricked and trapped into the mysterious world of Manjulika when Meera (Tripti Dimri) convinces him to pose as an incarnation of a prince dating back to 200 years. Descendents of the erstwhile King are living in abject poverty as their palace is haunted with the ghost of Manjulika, who is locked into one of the rooms in the palace.

New layers keep revealing, where Bade Pandit (Sanjay Mishra), Chote Pandit (Rajpal Yadav) and Panditayeen (Ashwini Kalsekar) secretly occupy the palace while fooling the villagers, so their business goes on. Entry of Rooh Baba ends their folly and opens up new layers in the film leading to discovery of another room in the basement where Manjulika’s ghost is supposedly locked. While all this seems to be leading to a linear ending, the climax has something radically different in store.

Kartik Aaryan has delivered a great performance with many moments of spontaneity blended with terrific acting and perfect expressions that makes Tripti smile and are sure to bring joy on your faces too. There are many jokes, and they fit very well in their context, which will surely make the audience rejoice. And then many twists and turns really keep you hooked, such as Vidya Balan as the first Manjulika, who is joined by Madhuri Dixit as a second Manjulika mid-way keeps the audience engaged till the end.

A slightly emotional end that also completely flips the climax and opens up another layer that is completely different from the narrative set through the film is surely going to be exciting for the viewers. Vidya is extremely graceful, and her powerful expressions often doesn’t require her to say anything.

The story is well-knotted with comical jokes and moments of scares interwoven to give you good surprises and shocks. Horror is not the extreme kind and spine-chilling but light, spontaneous, and in the moment.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a must watch film with the family this Diwali weekend.

Advance ticket sales for the Diwali films of this year: Rohit Shetty’s action- packed Singham Again and Anees Bazmee’s horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. According to a report in News18, the price of the tickets has gone up by over ₹2,500 in major metropolitan cities, including Mumbai and Delhi.
Costliest Tickets

Maison PVR: Mumbai’s Jio World Drive is charging the highest sum of ₹2,700 for both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again. In Delhi’s Ambience Mall, both films are at the same price of ₹2,400 at PVR Director’s Cut.

According to The Indian Express, Singham Again is likely to open at ₹35 crore on Friday, November 1, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is estimated to rake in ₹25 crore on the same day in India. Advance bookings for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had started earlier, but multiplex chains like PVR INOX and Cinepolis have opened advance bookings for both films together on Wednesday morning.

About This Year’s Diwali Releases

Both films are franchises’ third films, and the Singham Again film is the franchise of Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s Singham film franchise, as the original film by Rohit was released in 2011 and the sequel that also starred Kareena Kapoor made it to the big screens in 2014. Kareena will reprise the same role, a wife to Ajay again. Singham Again is the part of Rohit’s cop universe, starring Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi, Ranveer Singh as Simmba, and Deepika Padukone as “Lady Singham” Shakti Shetty, and the movie also features Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Ravi Kishan, and Jackie Shroff. The movie is produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and Reliance Entertainment and written by Milap Zaveri.

On the other hand, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a sequel, as the first film was made in 2007. Vidya Balan once again plays the role that had become iconic for her in the first film- Manjulika-and Kartik Aaryan plays Rooh Baba of the 2022 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Vidya Balan Files FIR Against Imposter Behind Fake Insta Profile

Actor Vidya Balan filed an FIR with Mumbai Police against an unknown person for creating a fake Instagram account in her name and soliciting money from others.
According to Mumbai police, an unknown person created an identical Instagram ID and approached people for money while promising them work.
Khar Police has filed an FIR under Section 66(C) of the IT.

Vidya Balan has a large internet following, and she continues to create films and reels that her fans enjoy. This has created a big dilemma for her because someone is using her name and requesting money from others.

According to a police official, an unknown person created an identical Instagram ID of Vidya Balan as well as a Gmail account and then used those identities to contact people involved with Bollywood.

Police said he was asking people for money while promising them jobs.
When Vidya Balan learned of this, she filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police. Based on Balan’s accusation, Khar Police have filed an FIR against an unknown person under Section 66 (C) of the IT, and an inquiry is currently underway.

She had previously revealed in her Instagram stories that someone was running an account under her name.

Meanwhile, Vidya plans to return to the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise.
