</excerpt>

A mother’s love is often seen as unconditional—especially when it comes to her child’s appearance. But a young mother in the United Kingdom shocked the internet with her honest and emotional first reaction after childbirth.

“His Nose Is So Ugly”: Jess Shares Raw Post-Birth Moment

Jess, a 20-year-old from the UK, had been eagerly waiting nine months and endured hours of labor pain. But her emotional anticipation took a surprising turn the moment she laid eyes on her newborn.

In a video she shared online—which has now gone viral—Jess admitted her initial reaction was far from what most would expect. Upon seeing her baby, she said through tears, “His nose is so ugly. He is so ugly.”

Social Media Reactions: “You Are the Child’s First Bully”

The video quickly drew attention on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Many viewers were critical of Jess’s raw honesty. One user wrote, “You are the child’s first bully.” Another commented, “This is really very cruel.” A third user added, “Imagine if the child comes to know that you made fun of him just after birth, poor thing.”

Despite the backlash, some defended her vulnerability, pointing out that hormonal shifts after childbirth can affect emotional responses.

Jess Reflects: “I Was Overwhelmed”

Jess later acknowledged the intensity of her feelings, attributing her reaction to the overwhelming emotions and hormonal changes that come with giving birth. Within hours, she said her perception changed. She began to see her baby in a new light and even found him cute.

This IVF Blunder Turns into Real-Life Plot Twist!

<excerpt>An IVF mix-up at Monash IVF clinic in Brisbane led to an Australian woman giving birth to a stranger’s child. The error, caused by ‘human error’, was discovered when embryos were transferred. The incident has sparked an investigation and legal uncertainties.
</excerpt>

In a strange real-life situation which could easily pass for a plot from the Bollywood movie ‘Good Newzz’, an Australian woman unwittingly gave birth to a stranger’s baby after an embryo mix-up at a fertility clinic.

This Brisbane Monash IVF case points to the drama that can ensue from medical mistakes in assisted reproduction. While ‘Good Newzz’ acted out its IVF mishaps with humor, the Australian case has raised serious issues and legal questions regarding the ethics and accuracy of fertility procedures.

The error was revealed in February when the birth parents asked their remaining frozen embryos to be transferred to another provider. But the clinic found an extra embryo was still in storage. Monash IVF said, “Rather than finding the number of embryos expected, an extra embryo was still in storage for the birth parent.”

Monash IVF’s Response

Monash IVF CEO Michael Knaap made his apology, saying the clinic was ‘devastated’ by what happened. He claimed the wrong embryo of another patient was thawed and implanted into the wrong parents, resulting in the birth of the child. The company initiated an investigation and assured the public that the mistake was an ‘isolated’ one.

The company immediately activated its crisis team, issuing apologies and support to the affected patients. The event has been reported to authorities, such as the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee. The names of the couples involved and the details of the child’s birth, including custody and date of birth, have not been disclosed.

This happened at Monash IVF in Brisbane, where the law deems the birth mother and her partner to be the legal parents of the child. It is not clear whether or not legal action will be taken, since the genetic parents never agreed to have their embryos utilized.

This gaffe follows in the wake of another legal scandal for Monash IVF, when the clinic paid 56 million Australian dollars after destroying the embryos of 700 patients when its genetic testing equipment malfunctioned. Around 35% of the destroyed embryos were later found to be normal, which could have led to successful pregnancies.

Her daughter Amy was born in February, two years after the transplant surgery at Oxford Transplant Centre.
</excerpt>

In what is considered a historic first in the UK, a woman has given birth to a baby girl that was carried in a womb that was donated by her sister. Grace Davidson, 36, welcomed her baby daughter Amy on February 27 at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital in London, nearly two years after she received the womb transplant.

Grace, who suffers from Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome, a rare condition that left her without a working uterus had long considered alternatives such as surrogacy and adoption before considering the option of a womb transplant. The life-altering surgery was conducted in February 2023 at the Oxford Transplant Centre, under the Oxford University Hospitals foundation.

The womb was gifted by her elder sister, 42-year-old Amy Purdie, a mother of two daughters aged 10 and six. In a statement via the Womb Transplant UK organisation, Grace said, “We have been given the greatest gift we could ever have asked for.” She continued, “I hope in the future this could become a wonderful reality, and offer an extra choice, for women who would otherwise be unable to carry their own child.”

Her husband, Angus Davidson, recalled the tearful moment their daughter was born. “There were people all around us who have assisted us on the way to actually getting Amy,” he said. “We had kind of been staving off emotion, probably for 10 years, and you don’t know how that is going to unravel ugly crying it turns out.”

Professor Richard Smith, the consultant gynaecologist surgeon who jointly leads the UK’s living donor womb transplant program, described Amy’s birth as “the culmination of more than 25 years of research.

Internationally, more than 100 womb transplants have been conducted since the first successful operations commenced in Sweden in 2013, resulting in an estimated 50 healthy births. The case of Grace and Amy is a remarkable milestone in UK reproductive medical history, holding new hope for naturally infertile women.

</excerpt>

Justin Beibers song ‘Baby’ that had captured the hearts of every teenager at the time of its release and gave Beiber the much deserved fame. The iconic hit has recently been recreated with a twist at a universty event in Lahore, Pakistan. Performedduring a qawalli night on campus, it quickly went viral over the internet garnering attention to the blend of cultures.

That’s a unique, qawwali-style rendition by Justin Bieber over the hit “Baby” coming from Lahore University. It’s been doing wonders on the net, featuring great harmonium- and tabla-sound arrangements on soulful and Sufism-flavored vocals. As such, what was an essentially thumpin’ lively track became fully cultural and full of music value, inspiring even admiration and vigorous online discussions on netizens.

The video of the performance has gone viral on social media, eliciting mixed reactions. It was a fantastic blend, which was a sheer delight. This was an incredible experience. Mixed praises and plain humor filled this social media post as people commented and made really light of the situation. Creativity was lauded by some, but played out by many. One added, “Waah, vibe toh hai,” while another quipped, “Wait for Bieber to sing Naseebo Lal in Toronto.” This was all humored with folks imagining how pop star Justin might react and leave comments like “Justin Bieber crying in a corner somewhere!

For some, the performance highlighted music’s universal appeal. A viewer remarked, “This just proves that good music, no matter its origin, can adapt and connect with audiences everywhere.”

The original version of “Baby,” which was a collaboration with rapper Ludacris, was released in January 2010. It went viral and became a global phenomenon, cementing the position of this pop sensation that is Bieber. In 2023, it marked a huge milestone when the song joined the Billion Streams club on Spotify as Bieber’s 16th track to do so. Its music video also got much attention and became one of the most-viewed videos on YouTube shortly after it was released.

Users on social media shared their amusement and opinions, with some commenting on the baby’s sassy behavior.
</excerpt>

For a long time, taunts and criticisms over Gen Z’s ‘sass’ have characterized many who would often call them brats, to say nothing of name-calling on social media. The videos and instances displaying Gen Z’s behaviors only fed the fire. But now that the next generation has stepped forward, there is a seeming competition of who would be the youngest diva next. Last week, social media circulated a video which caused the same kind of debate.

The viral clip shows a baby girl sucking on her pacifier and staring into the camera. Seated beside her is her mother, recording the video. When the mother leans forward to kiss the child on the cheek with a soft kiss, the baby retaliates with a sassiest eye roll. This shocked reaction with amusement of the mother echoed the sentiments of many when they saw the video.

This video was shared on Reddit by the handle ‘mindyour’ and gained more than 1,000 upvotes very soon. Users in the comments section are sharing their views, whereby most have found the reaction of the baby funny. People began debating about the increasing ‘sassy’ attitude among young generations. One of them commented, “Bypassed the cute baby phase, went straight to moody teenager.” Another noted, “I can’t believe the baby did it again lol.

Some people even had some jokes about where the child must have learned that attitude. “Ma’am, I think the attitude came from you,” another person quipped. “I wonder where she learned to do that? Like mother, like daughter?” There were also some other comments trying to explain in a comical way for the way the baby is behaving. “The poor baby. </excerpt>

What should have been a joyous occasion turned into a nightmare for a 30-year-old woman from Shanghai after giving birth via C-section. According to a report by Oddity Central, the new mother recounted that her husband stared at their newborn with bewilderment and refused to hold the baby. He was unsettled by the baby’s dark skin and immediately demanded a paternity test, leaving her feeling betrayed and disheartened.

The woman, admitting she also found the baby’s dark skin unusual, clarified, “I had never been to Africa, and didn’t know any black people.” She reluctantly agreed to the paternity test despite being certain of her fidelity, but shared that the damage to their trust was already done.

Seeking advice on how to save her marriage, the woman posted her ordeal on social media. Her story quickly went viral, with many expressing sympathy and offering support. Numerous commenters explained that it is common for newborns to have darker skin due to factors like thin skin and poor circulation, which often improve over time.

“This is very common. Newborns often have dark red skin that will gradually lighten over time,” noted one commenter. An expert added that the phenomenon is entirely natural.

While many rallied behind the mother, some criticized the husband for his behavior, expressing concern about his lack of trust in her. The incident sparked discussions about relationships, faith, and the misconceptions surrounding newborn skin tones.

The couple celebrated this special occasion by sharing the news with fans through a collaborative Instagram post. Deepika gave birth at HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and is still in the hospital, cherishing every moment with their newborn daughter.

Recently, a photo of Deepika holding a baby close to her chest has been circulating online, with claims that it was leaked from the hospital. However, it turns out that this photo is not genuine and does not show Deepika with her daughter.

For their baby announcement, Deepika and Ranveer kept it sweet and simple. On the day their daughter was born, they shared a charming graphic on Instagram featuring a large golden bow and a note that read, “Welcome baby girl. 8.9.2024. Deepika and Ranveer.”

Ranveer Singh had previously expressed his desire to have a daughter. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he talked about his excitement for parenthood and mentioned his preference for having a girl. His wish has now come true, adding to their joy as new parents.

As for Deepika’s return to work, it appears she plans to take an extended break. According to recent reports, Deepika has decided not to participate in the third season of “The White Lotus” to fully focus on caring for her baby. She has reportedly chosen to handle all parenting duties herself, without hiring a nanny or relying on Ranveer for shared responsibilities, to ensure she can be a hands-on mother.

Deepika is set to be discharged from the hospital today, September 12, 2024. According to Zee News, both Deepika and Ranveer are thrilled to bring their daughter home. Ranveer, in particular, is ecstatic as his dream of having a baby girl has come true. The report also mentions that Ranveer has special plans for celebrating this new chapter in their lives.

The couple’s decision to maintain privacy for their newborn mirrors the approach taken by Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli with their daughter Vamika. Deepika and Ranveer have decided to follow in their footsteps and not allow any photographs of their little girl to be taken.

Following the announcement of their baby’s birth, Deepika and Ranveer shared a sweet post on Instagram. The image featured a golden bow with a message that read, “Welcome baby girl. 8.9.2024. Deepika and Ranveer.” This announcement coincided with the Ganpati celebrations, adding a festive touch to their personal milestone. Deepika was admitted to the hospital that evening, marking the start of their new journey as parents.

Prior to the birth, on September 6, 2024, Deepika and Ranveer visited the Siddhivinayak temple, a revered site known for fulfilling the wishes of its devotees. Deepika was seen in a beautiful green Banarasi saree, her baby bump subtly covered by her pallu. She opted for a natural look with minimal makeup and her hair styled in a low bun, avoiding heavy accessories. Ranveer complemented her in a beige kurta, and the couple was seen holding hands, with Deepika gently cradling her bump.

</excerpt>

After months of speculation, Bollywood’s power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their pregnancy early this year. Two years later, the married couple of 2018 announced in February this year that they were expecting their baby in September 2024. Their announcement received a deluge of love and congratulatory messages from industry colleagues like Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja.

News18 reports that Deepika is scheduled to deliver the baby at South Bombay Hospital on September 28. The actress, who was last seen in the much-awaited film Kalki 2898 AD, has been in a pretty relaxed mood during her maternity leave as she often made headlines with her chic maternity fashion during her public appearances.

As the lovebirds gear up for this new beginning, speculations are rife that the couple is expecting a baby boy. The rumours started doing rounds when a gifting brand released a post where gifts ordered by Deepika were showcased. The gifts were minimalist brown paper boxes tied with light blue strings and decorated with ceramic hangings in shades of blue and white.

Deepika is all set to spend the next few months with her newborn. Her maternity leave is expected to go on till March 2025. Once she gets back to work, the first project may be the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Prabhas. The filming of the second instalment may begin early in 2025. Deepika is all set to start The Intern with Amitabh Bachchan.

Talking to Vogue Singapore earlier this year, Deepika said, “Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family… My family keeps me grounded, and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.”

From the six years of courtship to the intimate marriage at Lake Como in Italy, everything is well-appreciated. The video of their wedding, finally being aired in 2023 on Koffee With Karan season 8, actually let fans into their special day.

</excerpt>

Did you know the primary factor which determines “when” to get married for most women in India. An insight shared by founder of one of India’s leading matrimonial website- Shaadi.com’s Anupam Mittal is very revealing- “When to get married in the west is decided by when you find a compatible partner (as in the west there is a predominant dating concept). But when to get married is decided when you are of a certain age in India.”

The age is a pronounced factor especially in the case of women on whom lays the responsibility of producing babies. But the question arises- just to have babies, is it ok to gamble your entire life’s happiness. As they say, 99 percent of your life’s happiness comes from the right or wrong partner.

Today technology allows you to not marry in a haste just because your biological clock is ticking away. “You can freeze your eggs if you know you are not getting married anytime soon and you are already in your late twenties,” says Dr Manika Khanna, a leading gynaecologist and pioneer in assisted reproduction in humans (I.V.F) in India. She says she is in the profession that gives women “reproductive freedom. So just marrying early that you might outgrow your reproductive age may land you in a situation where you end up marrying the wrong person simply because you didn’t have enough time to meet the right person. I think both these things can be prevented with the help of technology.”

There is a biological clock for sure which is a fact of life that women have to negotiate with. So what exactly is it? Manika, who is hailed as ‘Mother of Miracles’, explains that biologically, the quality and quantity of eggs decreases with increasing age. Say, a woman is born with a fixed deposit, a bank of 2 lakh eggs at birth. But she will lose a few eggs every menstrual cycle ever since puberty sets in until the age of 45-46, when the ovarian reserve dries down and a woman transitions to menopause. In the case of a man, the sperm gets produced every three months in his body, till the time he is possibly alive. That is why women have menopause and men don’t.

When do women take that call to freeze their eggs? The first tipping point is 30 but age 34 is when a serious dip starts happening. But as soon as the woman clocks 38 years, it becomes very difficult to conceive. So, as Manika puts it- “After 38, we count not in years but months. So ideally if you have crossed your 30 mark, and you know that you are not marrying in the near future, the earlier you do it, the better the number and quality of eggs we might be able to retrieve for you.”

Also what is the meaning of quality, I inquire. Quality simply means two things- the fertilization ability of the egg you know how good it will fertilize and congenital defects in the baby. If a graph is plotted, with increasing age, the risk of congenital defects increases while quality and quantity of eggs decreases.

Is it going against nature? Wasn’t the green/white revolution all about interfering with nature? In the name of “being in sync with nature”, we cannot curb women’s dreams and desires of choosing their partner and right to marry at their own pace. This technology, like any other, comes as an empowering choice for many. As someone said- “It’s like I’m 30 again and been given an additional seven years to find the right person.”

“Women who say they can’t do things because of their baby, this video should inspire them,” commented one Instagram user. Another user dubbed her a “talented mummy,” while a third called her a “Superwoman.” Some commenters also expressed concern for the baby’s safety, urging Medhar to be cautious.

Flair bartending, which involves performing tricks and intricate movements with glass bottles, is a demanding art form. Medhar was introduced to it by her relative, Raj Medar, soon after completing her B.Com. Driven by a fascination with the craft, she moved to Pune and enrolled at the Flair Mania Bartending Academy. According to The Cocktail Story, she dedicated herself to rigorous practice, often training for 8-9 hours daily despite the risk of injury.

Medhar’s perseverance paid off in 2020 when she set a world record for the fastest female flair bartender. She earned a place in the World Book of Records, London, by performing over 110 flips of two bottles within a minute.

Massey personally shared this update via his Instagram stories on Saturday evening. Vikrant shared a detailed image of his arm adorned with the names ‘Vardaan’ and ‘7-2-2024’ inked on it. Along with the photo, he wrote, “Addition or addiction? I love them both.”

Vikrant and his wife, Sheetal Thakur, celebrated the arrival of their first child, Vardaan, on Feb 7.

Take a look at the post below:

Earlier in the month, Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur marked their son’s one-month milestone with a special celebration. On this noteworthy occasion, Sheetal Thakur offered glimpses of their intimate festivities. The first snapshot captured a special strawberry cake decorated with a card that read “1 MY first MONTH.” Sharing the photos, Sheetal wrote, “And I realised all over again how fast time flies.”

Just days ago, the couple pleasantly surprised their followers with a glimpse of their newborn’s face. The heartwarming image captured the baby peacefully sleeping in Sheetal’s arms, as Vikrant Massey lovingly gazed at them. The photograph was presumably taken post a pooja, as both parents had teeka adorning their foreheads. Additionally, in the same post, the couple unveiled their son’s name as Vardaan. They captioned the post, “Nothing short of a blessing… We named him VARDAAN!!!”

I want to be nimble and think on my feet, so I can adapt. The pace at which the world is changing is faster than most of us can comprehend, so there’s no point in planning ahead. The priority is to ensure my baby is healthy, and apart from that, I’m just soaking it all in.”
