Water is a vital element, influencing many aspects of life. Water is not only a physical element but a profound spiritual symbol across different systems of knowledge. It plays a critical role in the human body, supports life on Earth and holds symbolic significance in various powerful ancient spiritual practices & frameworks.

Let’s explore water’s mystical powers to nurture, transform and sustain life through various powerful spiritual frameworks.

Panch Mahabhut System

Water, one of the “Panch Mahabhuts,” in ancient Indian philosophy, is the bridge between the solid (Earth) and the gaseous (Air) elements, balancing life by its ever-changing nature. Just like water can change its form—liquid, solid or gas—humans are encouraged to be flexible in thoughts and actions.

On Earth

Around 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered with water. It is linked to the principle of flow, whether it’s in rivers, oceans or the circulation of blood and fluids in our bodies. It plays a vital role in climate, soil health and the water cycle.

Human Body

About 60-70% of our bodies consist of water. In the body, water helps with digestion, transportation of nutrients and regulation of temperature.

Ayurveda

Water helps balance Pitta dosha and is essential for maintaining physical, mental and emotional health.

Chakra System

Water is associated with the Swadhisthan (Sacral) chakra, which governs creativity, emotions, desires, pleasure, emotional well-being and relationships. When balanced, we feel emotionally stable, creative and connected to others. If it is imbalanced, we might experience emotional instability, suppressed feelings or an inability to express our desires.

It is also linked to the reproductive system and the flow of energy in the body.

Purifier

Water has the ability to cleanse and purify, both physically and emotionally, which is why it’s often used in rituals and cleansing practices in different cultures.

Astrological Element

In astrology, water is one of the four classical elements (alongside earth, fire and air) & governs three Zodiac signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Due to water element’s connection with emotions, intuition and sensitivity, they often have a deep understanding of the world around them. It makes them excellent caregivers, healers or artists.

Numerology

In Chaldean numerology, the element of water is associated with number 2 & 6. Each number reflects a unique aspect of the water element’s fluid nature, adaptability, gentle, nurturing and life-giving qualities.

Healing Tool

Water’s ability to absorb energy makes it an exceptional tool in healing systems. When used with intention, water absorbs healing vibrations, which can then be consumed, bathed in or used symbolically to support physical and emotional well-being.

Connected to Emotions

As an element, water is also tied to emotions. It represents fluidity, adaptability, nurturing and purification. Just as water can be calm or turbulent, our emotions can vary.

Subconscious & Dream Interpretation

Water in dreams often represents emotions, intuition and the subconscious mind’s mysteries, varying by its form—calm waters suggest peace, turbulent waters indicate turmoil.

Water is a universal element that plays a crucial role in physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of life. Just as water flows effortlessly around obstacles, the water element in our lives encourages us to adapt to life’s challenges with grace and balance.

Water teaches us the importance of emotional health and adaptability. By connecting with the water element, we can nurture our emotional well-being, improve our relationships and create a harmonious flow in all areas of life.

</excerpt>

A Path to Health Through Linking Your Birth Number and Ayurvedic Wisdom : The Occult Connection Between Numerology and Ayurveda

By Jyotsnaa G Bansal

Each human is born on a specific date, marking their unique entry into the world. This date is more than just a calendar moment; in numerology, it holds a powerful connection to who we are. Numerology, through our birth numbers, links us to the energies of planets that influence our personalities, strengths and life paths.

Each birth number, from 1 to 9, connects with a unique planet, giving us insights about our natural traits and possible health tendencies that shape our everyday experiences. When we combine these insights with Ayurveda’s energy-balancing doshas—Vata, Pitta and Kapha— we can create simple routines & habits that support health and well-being.

Knowing our birth number helps us understand what our bodies and minds need. Each birth number links to a planet and a specific dosha—Vata, Pitta, or Kapha.

Birth Number 1 (Born on 1, 10, 19, 28)

Prakriti: Pitta

Health Tendencies: Pitta dominance makes them prone to heat-related issues, such as acidity, inflammation, skin problems, irritability and hypertension. Individuals with a dominant Pitta constitution should focus on cooling foods like cucumber and mint and cooling activities to maintain balance.

Birth Number 2 (Born on 2, 11, 20, 29)

Prakriti: Kapha

Health Tendencies: Kapha imbalances may cause issues like weight gain, respiratory problems, water retention, congestion, allergies, lethargy and sluggish digestion. To maintain health, they should emphasize regular exercise and a light diet, avoid heavy foods and practice warm, invigorating activities to balance Kapha.

Birth Number 3 (Born on 3, 12, 21, 30)

Prakriti: Pitta-Kapha

Health Tendencies: Influenced by both Pitta and Kapha, they may experience issues from both doshas if imbalanced, including digestive disturbances, skin issues, sinus congestion and weight fluctuations. To balance these dual doshas, they should adopt a diet that is neither too heavy nor too spicy, with a balanced lifestyle incorporating moderate regular exercise and stress management techniques.

Birth Number 4 (Born on 4, 13, 22, 31)

Prakriti: Vata

Health Tendencies: Vata imbalances may cause anxiety, dry skin, joint issues and digestive disturbances. They should focus on a warm, nourishing diet, establish regular routines and practice grounding activities like yoga to balance their Vata energy.

Birth Number 5 (Born on 5, 14, 23)

Prakriti: Vata

Health Tendencies: Vata excess may result in nervousness, insomnia, nervous system-related issues, dry skin and digestive irregularities. Balancing Vata requires a consistent routine, stability, warmth and regularity, especially through calming routines, grounding foods and stress management practices.

Birth Number 6 (Born on 6, 15, 24)

Prakriti: Kapha

Health Tendencies: Kapha dominance may lead to weight gain, fluid retention, sinus problems, respiratory and circulatory issues. For balance, they should avoid cold, heavy foods and prioritize activities that bring warmth and lightness, such as regular exercise and mindful eating practices.

Birth Number 7 (Born on 7, 16, 25)

Prakriti: Kapha

Health Tendencies: Kapha imbalances may cause congestion and digestive issues. they may experience Kapha-related issues such as sluggish digestion, respiratory concerns and emotional heaviness if unbalanced. They benefit from Kapha-reducing diets and regular exercise. To manage these, they should focus on stimulating activities and a diet that avoids excess dairy or sweets, as well as mindfulness practices for mental clarity.

Birth Number 8 (Born on 8, 17, 26)

Prakriti: Vata

Health Tendencies: Vata imbalance can cause joint pain, stress and dry skin. They should focus on warm, grounding foods and routines, avoid cold climates and practice relaxation techniques to keep Vata in balance.

Birth Number 9 (Born on 9, 18, 27)

Prakriti: Pitta

Health Tendencies: Pitta excess may cause inflammation, high blood pressure, digestive issues and skin issues. Cooling foods & cooling practices, relaxation and time in nature can help maintain balance.

In Ayurveda, each individual is influenced by a unique combination of three primary doshas—Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Any imbalance in the basic attributes of these three dosha leads to various diseases. By knowing our number’s dosha/prakriti, we can make simple lifestyle changes to support balance and avoid health issues. Combining Ayurveda with Numerology creates a practical guide for self-understanding. By making small, daily changes, we can find more balance, energy and a stronger sense of self in everyday life.

Natural products have always been special in human life & culture. They offer remarkable healing and energy benefits beyond what we see. From herbs to gemstones & crystals, nature has provided us countless tools for physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Over centuries, ancient civilizations have recognized & used the power of these natural elements in daily life, rituals and spiritual practices, showing us how nature holds powerful tools to bring peace, protection and positive energy. The healing and protective qualities of natural items have been revered in systems like Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Vedic traditions, all of which emphasize the importance of natural balance and harmony.

One such powerful natural, rare, sacred shell stone is the Gomti Chakra. This small, spiral-shaped stone has been valued for its ability to harness and channel positive energy. It is believed to be a potent source of spiritual protection, prosperity and harmony.

Gomti Chakra is a flat & round, small, white or brownish stone found in the Gomti River near Dwarka in Gujarat, India. It is often compared to a miniature conch shell.

The natural spiral on one side symbolizes the continuous flow of life and energy and is considered a symbol of protection. The spiral, holds deep religious and spiritual significance in Vedic traditions, as it resembles the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu.

In daily life, the Gomti Chakra is used for

Protection from evil eye – can ward off negative and evil energies from a person or place

Mental peace – It is said to aid in reducing stress, anxiety and promoting mental clarity.

Wealth and prosperity – Since Gomti Chakra symbolizes Goddess Lakshmi, they are often offered to Goddess Lakshmi, especially during Diwali, to attract financial abundance, overall prosperity and success.

Removing obstacles – They are believed to help in removing obstacles in one’s path and in the fulfillment of desires.

Attracting positive vibrations

Personal talisman: People often place it in their homes or wear as a pendant, bracelet or carry in purses to maintain constant energy protection & to invite peace, harmony and prosperity into their lives

Enhanced spiritual power and intuition – Gomti Chakra has the potential to increase the spiritual power and intuition of an individual. It can be used in meditation, chanting, or worship to establish a connection with divine energy and guidance.

Spiritual Healing – Aligning with the body chakras, they help in meditating and dispelling negative energies

Vaastu Shastra applications: Placing Gomti Chakra in the home or workplace is believed to remove Vaastu defects, bringing harmony, peace and positive energy to the space.

Wealth corner activation: In Feng Shui, it can be placed in the wealth corner or carried in a wallet to attract abundance and prosperity.

Additionally, it is believed to balance planetary energies, particularly Rahu and Ketu, offering relief from their malefic effects.

For centuries, the Gomti Chakra, a simple, natural but powerful tool, has been used in spiritual practices & rituals. Due to its protective and prosperity-enhancing qualities, it is a timeless remedy for enhancing well-being, protection, prosperity, balancing energy and warding off negativity.

Warm water: Drinking warm water throughout the day aids digestion and detoxification, which is vital during the monsoon season to balance the digestive fire (agni) and prevent toxin buildup.

Dry Ginger Powder Tea: Boiling dry ginger powder with water and drinking it twice daily – morning and evening – can help reduce the aggravated vata (air) dosha that causes joint pain and aches during the monsoon.

Castor Oil Application: Applying castor oil to the affected joint or muscle area can help lubricate the joint and reduce inflammation.

Mustard Oil Massage: Gently massaging warm mustard oil, optionally with added essential oils like eucalyptus or peppermint, into the affected muscles or joints can help soothe pain.

Fenugreek (methi) Seed poultice: Soaking fenugreek seeds in water overnight, grinding them into a paste, and applying it to the affected area can help reduce inflammation and pain.

Epsom Salt Bath: Adding 1-2 cups of Epsom salt to warm water and soaking the affected area can help relax muscles and reduce pain due to the magnesium content.

By incorporating these Ayurvedic remedies, you can effectively combat common monsoon aches and pains and maintain your health during this season.

</excerpt>

Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of tongue health as a reflection of overall well-being. According to Ayurvedic principles, the tongue’s condition can indicate imbalances in the body’s doshas. Regular tongue scraping helps remove toxins and bacteria promoting oral hygiene and preventing oral infections.

Additionally, Ayurvedic texts suggest that different areas of the tongue correspond to various organs, making it a diagnostic tool for assessing health. By maintaining tongue health through practices like scraping and observing its appearance, Ayurveda supports holistic wellness and preventive healthcare measures.

Oil pulling and tongue scraping are ancient Ayurvedic practices known for their numerous benefits to oral health and overall well-being. Here’s a breakdown of the key advantages of each:

Oil Pulling

1. Improved Oral Health: Swishing sesame or coconut oil in the mouth for 15-20 minutes reduces plaque, gingivitis, and harmful bacteria, promoting healthier teeth and gums.

2. Fresh Breath: By eliminating bacteria and toxins, oil pulling helps prevent plaque buildup and maintains fresh breath.

3. Reduced Risk of Gum Inflammation: Regular practice may lower the risk of gum inflammation and gingivitis.

4. Detoxification: Oil pulling is believed to remove fat-soluble toxins, such as heavy metals, contributing to overall detoxification.

Tongue Scraping

1. Improved Oral Hygiene: Using a tongue scraper daily removes bacteria, dead cells, and debris from the tongue’s surface, supporting oral hygiene.

2. Fresh Breath: By clearing bacteria and debris, tongue scraping enhances breath freshness effectively.

3. Reduced Oral Infections: Regular scraping reduces the bacterial load in the mouth, lowering the risk of oral infections.

4. Enhanced Taste Perception: Cleaning the tongue improves taste perception, benefiting overall oral health.

Both practices are simple yet effective when incorporated into daily routines, offering holistic support for oral health and promoting overall well-being.

</excerpt>

Along with the rainy season, comes a problem that is faced by many. In this gloomy season joint pain is seen as a common issue in households.

“These pains and aches are caused by a disbalance in vata or air proportion in the body.” stated Dr Manisha Mishra, an Ayurveda physician. This definitely sounds like a worrisome issue but Dr. Manisha provided us with two helpful remedies. One being dry ginger powder tea, which helps in reducing vata. “Boil dry ginger powder with water, and have it twice daily – Morning and evening,” said Dr Manisha Mishra.

Additional remedy suggested by Dr Manisha Mishra is castor oil. Applying castor oil on the affected parts can bring relief. “Lubrication of the joint gets better and you walk better,” says Dr Mishra.

What is the cause of aches and pains during monsoon?

Humidity And Cool Wind

Humidity and cool winds are seen frequently during the weather.

“In Ayurveda, this period known as visarga kala, is when the earth moves away from the sun, and the moon’s influence increases, making the environment cooler. The monsoon season is associated with the vata and kapha doshas, which become aggravated during this time. Vata dosha, representing air and space elements, becomes imbalanced and kapha dosha, representing water and earth elements, also increases,” clarified shlloka, classical hatha yoga teacher and lifestyle expert.

Vata dosha

Vata dosha is increased due to cool, moist and humid weather conditions, which further leads to causing instability in one’s body.“This imbalance causes joints to lose moisture, leading to friction, inflammation, joint pain, muscle aches and stiffness,” stated shlloka.

Kapha

Since kapha represents water, the heavy and wet envirionment of the monsoon season gives a platform to kapha dosha to increase.

“Excess kapha leads to fluid accumulation in the joints, causing inflammation and swelling, worsening conditions like arthritis, bursitis and tendinitis,” mentioned Shlloka.

Cool, Damp Weather

She further explained how cool, damp weather leads to weakness of digestive fire (agni), which results in improper digestion and the accumulation of toxins. “Ama or toxins or undigested metabolic waste that accumulates in the body due to impaired digestion contributes to inflammation and pain in various parts of the body,” said Shlloka.

Do These Remedies Work?

Shlloka analyzed the remedies suggested by DR Mishra, agreeing and adding more to it she recommended applying castor oil packs – a clean cloth soaked in warm castor oil- on the affected area provides relief. “Leave it on for 30-45 minutes, 1-2 times a day, to reduce inflammation and promote circulation,” said Shlloka.

She also suggested few more remedies that are proven to be a good help in providing relief. These are as follows:

Mustard oil massage

Take some warm mustard oil and gently massage it onto the affected area.

For pain relief, add a few drops of essential oils like eucalyptus or peppermint to the warm mustard oil.

This massage is suggested to practice daily, especially before bedtime, to soothe pain.

Methi seed poultice

Soak methi seeds in water overnight and form a paste.

Apply the paste on the affected area and cover it with a clean cloth.

For best results keep it on for at least 40 minutes, then rinse it off.

Epsom salt bath

Add 1- 2 cups of Epsom Salt to warm water and soak the affected area for 20-30 minutes.

The magnesium in Epsom salt helps relax muscles and reduce pain.

Add a few drops of essential oils like lavender or chamomile for added relaxation.

Herbal compress

Boil water and add a handful of herbs like ginger, turmeric or ashwagandha.

Soak a clean cloth in the herbal decoction and apply it to the affected area.

Leave the compress on for almost 30 minutes, 1-2 times a day.

– Pregnancy and breastfeeding : Limited safety data advises caution, as tulsi may stimulate uterine contractions.
– Allergies : Some individuals may be allergic to tulsi or related plants; any allergic reactions should prompt discontinuation and medical consultation.

Incorporating tulsi water into your routine offers a natural, holistic approach to wellness, supporting overall health with its versatile benefits. Whether as a soothing tea or an infused water, tulsi remains a revered elixir, celebrated for its contribution to a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

He also said there is a conspiracy against Patanjali’s research and development facilities, which he claims are even better than government’s Ayurvedic facility.

The scam enticed her through an Instagram reel featuring a deepfake video of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, praising a company called ‘Rajiv Sharma Trade Group’ and endorsing its BCF Investment Academy for lucrative returns.

This incident marks the second occurrence of a deepfake video featuring Mukesh Ambani endorsing a stock trading mentorship program. In an earlier incident in March, a similar video surfaced where Ambani recommended following his “student Veenit” on social media for free investment advice.

The victim, Dr. K K H Patil, was duped between May 28 and June 10, during which she transferred a total of Rs 7.1 lakh to 16 different bank accounts. She became suspicious when she attempted to withdraw the Rs 30 lakh shown as profit on the trading website, revealing the fraud.

On Wednesday, the Oshiwara police filed an FIR against an unidentified individual under IPC sections for impersonation and cheating, and under the IT Act section for identity theft. Authorities believe that the scammers utilized deepfake technology to create the deceptive video. The police are coordinating with bank nodal officers to block the transferred funds.

Patil explained that she encountered the video on Instagram and was persuaded by what appeared to be a legitimate endorsement. After conducting online research that indicated the company had offices in BKC and London, she decided to invest her money.

The apex court, on Tuesday, served a notice to Patanjali Ayurved and its founders to put a temporary ban on its highly misleading ads claiming to completely cure diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, asthma and obesity.

This came after the court observed that the FMCG company had violated its previous ruling which banned Patanjali from issuing such misleading ads. </excerpt>

Thanks to advancements in medical research, several common eye disorders, including trachoma and numerous viral or bacterial infections, are now regarded as minor ailments. But traditional medical practices laid the groundwork for contemporary medicine’s development, which in turn helped it get to this point.

The best thing about Ayurvedic medicine is that it may both prevent and cure ailments. Even if you don’t currently have any eye ailments, you should still take Ayurvedic medicine because it can keep you healthy and protect your eyes from regular problems. The following simple herbal Ayurvedic treatments can help reduce eye strain:

1. Triphala
Triphala is a herbal mixture consisting of three fruits: amalaki, bibhitaki, and haritaki. Its benefits include clearing the eyes, reducing inflammation, and relaxing the muscles surrounding the eyes. It can be ingested or used topically to the eyes.

2. Aloe Vera
Eye strain can be lessened by the soothing, cooling properties of aloe vera. After fifteen minutes, carefully remove any residue from the eyes by using pure aloe vera gel around them.

3. Cucumber
Cucumber slices cool the eyes and reduce strain in the area around them. Place slices of cooled cucumber on closed eyelids and leave for ten to fifteen minutes.

4. The amla, or Indian gooseberry
Slices of cucumber soothe the eyes and ease surrounding tension. After cooling, place cucumber slices over closed eyes and let them sit for ten to fifteen minutes.

5. Fennel seeds
Fennel seeds have a relaxing effect on the eyes and can help reduce eye strain. Use the cooled liquid as an eye wash after adding water to the crushed fennel seeds and filtering.

Herbs are revered for their culinary, aromatic, and spiritual uses as well as their medicinal qualities throughout history, adding to the diverse range of medical and cultural customs.
