Violence Breaks Out Following Banner Removal

A disturbing incident occurred in Karnataka after Rangappa C Herkal, a civic worker removed an unauthorised birthday banner belonging to the accused Shantu on the instructions of the municipal commissioner. The removal of the banner triggered anger and soon after that Akshata KC was accused of abusing Rangappa over the phone.

Assaults Escalate at Municipal Office

Later on June 5, six accused individuals armed with weapons barged into the municipal office and assaulted staff members. Two contract workers, Peerappa Shirabadagi and Kanthesh, were injured when struck with a scooter handle. The assailants also issued death threats. Following a complaint by Shirabadagi, police registered a case against the attackers.

Shocking Attack Captured on Video

On June 7, the violence escalated when about ten men, including Akshata KC, attacked another civic worker, Raju, inside a bar. A video that has gone viral online shows the accused thrashing Raju with a cricket bat and striking his head and face repeatedly with beer bottles.

Police have arrested seven individuals identified as Shantappa, Arjuna, Pratham, Fakkiresh Koravar, Mukesh, Prajwal, and Ganesh in connection with the violent attacks.

Delhi Teacher Booked for Assaulting Class 1 Student, Leaving Severe Internal Injuries

A teacher from Nagar Nigam School in Shri Ram Colony, northeast Delhi, has been accused of assaulting a Class 1 student, resulting in internal bleeding in the ear, according to police reports on Friday. The incident took place on February 17 but was only reported after a PCR call was made the following day, as per PTI.

Medical examinations at JPC Hospital confirmed internal ear bleeding, though no visible external injuries were found, as stated by the Delhi Police.

The student’s mother declined to provide a statement, citing her husband’s absence as he was in Bihar, police added.

As per PTI, the case had been pending since February 18, but after a legal review, authorities determined that charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Juvenile Justice Act were applicable.

Igor had originally intended to destroy the family’s livestock and set the farm on fire, but upon encountering Milena, he chose to attack her instead. He later confessed to officers, revealing that he harbored a grudge against her father. “The animals tore her femoral artery and bit her,” an initial report stated.

Milena’s body was found by a friend who discovered her lying on the farm, bloodied and with numerous injuries from the pigs. She succumbed to blood loss caused by the attack and the pig bites.

The 30-second video shows a car coming behind an Audi, and as the driver applied brakes, the vehicle slightly touched the bumper of the Audi. The Audi owner, Rishabh Chakravarti, his wife Antara Ghosh, and another woman got down to check if the vehicle suffered any damage. They started shouting and abusing the Ola driver.

Rishabh then slaps Kayamuddin, lifts him, and slams him to the ground, the video shows. The driver’s head hits the surface, leaving him motionless for a while.

Rishabh did not stop there. He kicked the driver, who was lying on the ground, as people present at the spot watched as mute spectators. The driver, who suffered head injuries, finally stands, holding his head.

The incident happened on August 18 around 11:20 p.m. at the entrance of a building opposite a mall in Ghatkopar in Mumbai, a police official told PTI.

“Mr Ansari was first taken to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar and then shifted to state-run JJ Hospital. His statement has been recorded. The assault on him has been captured by CCTV cameras at the entrance of the building,” the official told PTI.

Police have filed a complaint under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against Rishabh and his wife for assaulting the driver. Cops have issued a notice to the couple to be present in court with claims and counterclaims from both sides being probed, the official told PTI.

Social media users expressed anger after the video was widely shared online. A user wrote, “This arrogant Audi guy should be booked under UAPA.”

“Nowadays some people are so fond of becoming powerful that after seeing some people they start showing their power over a weak person,” wrote another.

A Nepali man has been arrested in Pimpri-Chinchwad for allegedly assaulting his wife and piercing blade and iron nails into her private parts on suspicion of an extramarital affair.

The accused (30) tied up his wife (28), a Nepali national, believing she was having an affair. He then attacked her. The police claimed that he locked his wife’s privates and punctured her with a sharp knife and two iron nails.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, where she is undergoing treatment for her injuries, they said.

The accused husband, who works as a watchman, has been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 506(2) (criminal intimidation).

Nivriti Kolhatkar, Senior Inspector of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police, said that the case has been registered at Wakad Police Station and further investigation is on.

“A case was registered against the accused at Wakad Police Station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including sections 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 506(2) (criminal intimidation), and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt). Man beaten to death in Delhi’s Janakpuri, two arrested

Class 12 student dies 8 days later: School Fight!

A class 12 student died 8 days after being beaten by another student. The former couldn’t survive the injuries of the fight. According to the police reports, the fight between the two students took place on December 15.

Police officials elaborated that the 17-year old victim was returning home from school when he was attacked by a group of people including another school student. The victim sustained injuries on the head and face. No medico-legal case was made as both the parties settled the matter later. He was taken home after being given first-aid treatment from a nearby clinic.

“Investigation revealed that both schoolboys had a verbal spat on December 12 outside school. On December 15, the accused and others accosted and assaulted the victim after school in D Block area at Bhajanpura. The victim suffered injuries to his face and head but was taken home after first aid,” Delhi Police said.

The officials added, “Yesterday morning, the victim’s health started deteriorating and he lost consciousness. He was taken to GTB Hospital, where the doctors referred him to RML Hospital.”

After that, the victim’s father immediately registered a case of assault. Later, information was received from RML Hospital on December 23 at 10.30 p.m. that the victim had died in hospital while undergoing treatment, as per Delhi Police.

A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered in the matter at Bhajanpura police station.

Kohat: 2 brothers arrested for assaulting sister

Woman arrested for assaulting her domestic helper in Noida

A 40-year-old woman was arrested by the Gautam Budh Nagar Police on Tuesday for allegedly abusing her 20-year-old domestic helper and confining her in a high-rise flat in Noida’s Sector 121.

Anita, a domestic helper from Noida’s Garhi Chaukhandi village, tried to leave her employer Shefali Koul’s fourth-floor apartment in the Cleo County Society on Monday, which is when the event was discovered. However, witnesses reported seeing her to the police, who sent a squad to the scene, according to the police. Anita’s family was then notified of the situation before being led to the police station.

Social media websites have reported seeing purported CCTV evidence of Koul, an advocate, allegedly hitting Anita in an elevator a week ago.

Police said Anita’s father Padam Singh submitted a complaint at the Phase 3 police station on Monday evening against Koul. According to the complaint, Anita had been working at Koul’s house for the past six months. “My daughter worked at Koul’s house and their agreement expired on October 31. However, Koul did not let Anita leave the house and forced her to continue to work. She took away my daughter’s phone and assaulted her and forced her to do all household work. When Anita refused to work and asked to go home, Koul assaulted her and thwarted all her attempts to escape,” Singh’s complaint said.

Based on the complaint, Koul was booked under Indian Penal Code sections 344 (illegal confinement beyond 10 days), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (insult), the police said.

Anita allegedly suffered numerous wounds as a result of Koul hitting her with a stick, according to Singh.

“Anita has been sent for a medical evaluation, and the proper course of action will be followed. According to Saad Miyan Khan, additional deputy commissioner of police for Central Noida, no arrests have yet been made in connection with the case.

Youth held for raping a minor girl in Chattisgarh

A 50-year-old man was assaulted by seven people when he came to pick up his daughter in Madurai Meenal Women College in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai. Six out of the seven people were arrested by Police.

Mohan Raj, Madurai North Deputy commissioner of Police told, “The brawl started over a normal incident. The youngsters assaulted the man after the 50-year-old asked the miscreants to go quietly because a funeral procession was passing by.” “The group of youngsters attacked the man in front of several students in front of the college gate. Pertaining to the matter, a case was registered against seven people at Madurai Sellur Police Station. Six people including one college student have been arrested so far,” the senior police officer said. “We have written a letter to the college principal of the student seeking action against him. We have directed the police to patrol the areas where the girls’ college is located,” Mohan Raj added. Following te incident, Madurai Police has increased the security near all women’s college in the area.

Earlier, On October 30, when a few adolescents allegedly entered the Lady Dok Women’s College in Madurai and harassed the students there, a case was previously opened against 11 people at the Madurai Tallakulam Police Station.

“So far we have arrested 10 people in this case and four two-wheelers have been seized. five out of 10 arrested were college students,” police said in a statement.

Abusive woman arrested for slapping a guard in Noida

Almost 20 days after a woman was arrested for abusing a security guard at a Noida high-rise society for opening the gate late, another such incident from another society has come to light, with a video of it going viral on social media platforms.

In the video, a woman from Noida’s Cleo County society in Sector 121 can be seen repeatedly slapping a security guard. Sutapa Das, a resident of the society who teaches at a private college, was arrested following a complaint made by the security guard she slapped.

According to police, the security guard did not remove the barricade from the gate when the woman entered the society because her car’s RFID signal did not work. This enraged the woman, and she returned to the main gate after parking her car inside the premises. She then approached the security guard and began arguing with him before abusing and slapping him several times. Sachin Kumar, the security guard, has filed a complaint with the police, who arrested the woman on Sunday evening. Two other security guards can also be seen in the 40-second video, who allegedly begin calling their supervisor for assistance as soon as the incident begins. On Saturday, around 10 a.m., the incident occurred.

“All residents have been informed that cars with RFID can go in and this woman’s car also had the RFID, but it was not working. So, I opened the gate manually for her and informed her that some maintenance work was under process and soon it would be functional. Still, she parked her car and came back to argue about why I couldn’t open the gate sooner, and she started misbehaving and slapping me,” said Sachin Kumar, the complainant.

According to Vijay Kumar, SHO of Phase-3 police station, the police received the information around noon on Saturday when the victim came to the station to file a complaint against the woman.

“Based on the complaint, we have lodged a case and had arrested the woman by the same evening. She is being questioned and further investigation is going on,” he said.

32-year-old murder convict kills himself after assaulting family members

A 32-year-old murder convict on bail on Thursday killed himself after brutally assaulting three family members with an axe in Aulakh village, Muktsar.

Amarinder Singh, the deceased, was serving his sentence at the Hoshiarpur district jail.

Malout deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Balkar Singh Sandhu said, “Amarinder Singh was undergoing treatment for a mental illness. On Thursday morning, he attacked his cousin Gurdhian Singh, his wife Sarabjit Kaur and his mother Jasbir Kaur with an axe. Later, he ended his own life”.

The injured were taken to Bathinda’s private spine and neurosurgery institute soon after the incident. “Gurdhian and Sarabjit, who suffered head injuries, are in critical condition, while the deceased’s mother is stable,” the DSP said.
