Ajaz Khan Claims He Protected Aryan Khan from Jail Mafia, ‘Provided Cigarettes in Jail’

Controversy-ridden actor and Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan stunned everyone with what he had to say about his experience in Arthur Road Jail, Mumbai. According to him, he saved the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, from the mafia during his stay there and even gifted him cigarettes.

Ajaz Khan, arrested in a 2021 drug case, spoke of his jail experience and the individuals he met there. In a conversation with Hindi Rush, he stated “Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, was in the jail at that time. I helped him too and sent him water and cigarettes. This is all you can do for someone in jail. And yes, I also saved him from gundas and the mafia. He was in danger; he was placed in the common barrack.”

Aryan Khan was arrested in October 2021 in a high-profile drug case but was subsequently released as no concrete evidence was found against him.

Ajaz Khan Remembers Assisting Raj Kundra in Prison

Ajaz also talked about businessman Raj Kundra, who was imprisoned in an alleged pornography case. He said that Kundra used to ask for his assistance daily while being incarcerated in Arthur Road Jail.

Azaz Khan said that, “Raj Kundra used to send me messages every day. He was under a strict surveillance. I had been in jail for seven months when Raj Kundra came. He didn’t help me, but I helped him a lot. Be it a biscuit, a bisleri bottle or a cigarette, its a big deal to provide these things in a jail. He would ask me for water, bread and biscuit. Normal water was allowed, not bisleri, but he wouldn’t drink it as he would fall sick.”

Ajaz also complained that Raj Kundra never even appreciated the assistance he provided him in prison. He was saddened that he had been excluded from Kundra’s biopic movie, UT69.

“His movie (UT69) flopped because he showed lies. He said his story, but he didn’t show things that he went through and humanity is going through. Neither did he show the hero who helped him in jail. I gave him water, bread, butter despite strict orders from superintendent of the jail. He never repaid my favours. He cut my role in his film. He never showed what all I did for him.”

Ajaz also alleged that Raj Kundra never spoke about him even in private interactions with his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty.

“The two months he spent with me is something he must have not even shared with his wife Shilpa Shetty. It was Corona time, there was a lot of sadness. He used to cry the whole time. I went against people to save him in jail. Yet, he never remembers me or invites me to his huge parties. He has forgotten his jail time.”

Wankhede said in The Gaurav Thakur Show podcast, where he appeared as a guest, that the talk is “cheap” and “roadside.” “I do not watch too many films, but I think the usage of words such as ‘baap’ and ‘beta’ by the dialogue is really bad. That is not how we communicate in Indian culture. I will not respond to such roadside statements as it is a disrespectful statement. Wankhede said, “I do not want to name anyone and give them unnecessary fame,” excluding Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan.

For background, in October 2021, Wankhede and his squad raided the Cordelia Cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai after receiving a tip regarding drug use on board, and they apprehended Aryan Khan. Aryan was jailed for a month before being released on bail. But in 2023, Wankhede and four others were booked by the CBI in a corruption case, alleging a conspiracy to extort ₹25 crore from one of the cruise ship passengers’ families in exchange for dropping charges.

According to the latest reports, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan will be making their first appearance on the celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan. Reports also say that SRK’s lovely wife, Gauri Khan is also likely to come. However, there is no official confirmation.

Reportedly, Koffee With Karan’s eighth season is ready to begin in August or September this year. Hosted by ace Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, it will feature a slew of celebrities. It will be a six-episode series, and this time actors from South India will also grace the show. Yash, Rishab Shetty, and Allu Arjun are expected to appear on the chat show. For those unaware, SRK also starred in an ad for Aryan Khan’s directorial debut ad featuring the announcement of the new collection of his clothing line.

SRK returned to movies recently with Pathaan. Apart from him, the film also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in key roles. Next, the actor will be seen in Jawan. The web series will have six episodes and it is titled ‘Stardom’. Bringing you a fresh update, the star kid’s directorial might also feature Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh as cameos.

A report in Pepping Moon revealed that the cast of the series revolving around the entertainment industry remains to be under the grab for now, the buzz has it that the series will be headlined by young, promising actors along with some prominent faces such as Gautami Kapoor, popularly known for her work on television shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Qubool Hai.

The source told the portal, “SRK and Ranveer will be seen in different episodes, playing roles that are small but important in taking the story forward. It’s a special part, and both are excited to shoot for it under the direction of Jr. Khan.”

Meanwhile, the star kid made his first commercial as a director for his own brand, and it also featured his father Shah Rukh Khan. In an interview with an international magazine the star kid spoke about the experience of working with his father. He said it’s not challenging to work with SRK because he makes everyone’s job easy on the set because of his experience and dedication. He also makes the crew feel at ease with respect for everyone.

CBI books Sameer Wankhede for seeking 25 crore bribe for not framing Aryan Khan

The CBI on Friday conducted searches at the premises of former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede after filing an FIR against him and four others for allegedly seeking Rs 25 crore bribe for not framing Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the drugs-on-cruise case, officials said.

Aryan Khan was arrested in an alleged drug bust case on the Cordelia cruise ship on 2 October 2 2021, they said.

The NCB, which had filed a charge-sheet in the drugs-on-cruise case, gave a clean chit to Aryan Khan, while an SIT set up by the anti-drugs agency claimed the probe led by Wankhede had lapses.

They said the searches were spread across 29 locations across Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi and Kanpur.

It is alleged that IRS officer Wankhede and others had allegedly demanded Rs 25 crore bribe for not framing Aryan Khan in the alleged drug bust, they said.

The CBI received information that Rs 50 lakh was allegedly collected by the officer and his accomplice as advance, the officials said.

Wankhede, who headed the Narcotics Control Bureau in Mumbai at the time of Aryan Khan’s arrest, was transferred to the Directorate General of Taxpayer Services in Chennai in May last year.

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s oldest friend-actor and producer Viveck Vaswani recently spilled the beans on the Pathaan star’s silence over his son Aryan Khan’s arrest in a drug case in October 21. Viveck Vaswani praised SRK for handling the situation with grace and dignity. Viveck Vaswani told onnect FM Canada, “I think he did not want to escalate it, he didn’t open his mouth, neither did Aryan, Gauri or Suhana, it is called grace and dignity.”

For those unaware, the star kid was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during a raid connection with an alleged drug bust on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. He spent 25 days in jail.
