Journey of ‘Tanvi The Great’

The film revolves around a determined young girl named Tanvi, who navigates life with autism while chasing her aspiration of serving the nation. He revealed that the story is deeply personal and was inspired by his own niece.

“Four years ago, at a family wedding in Gurgaon, I asked Tanvi what she was looking at. She said, ‘I am looking at my world.’ That line shook me. I didn’t understand what her world was — and that became the germ of this film,” he explained at the trailer launch.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher, currently in Goa for the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), has announced his plans to direct a film titled ‘The Return’, a co-production between Australia and India.

Speaking to ANI, Kher shared details about the project, which marks his second directorial venture after ‘Tanvi The Great’. On being asked about his collaboration on a film in Australia, Kher said, “Yes, I have never sat idle. When I don’t have work, I write stories or think about books. About 10-12 years ago, I got an idea for an English film called ‘The Return’. I wrote the story, and it revolves around a main character who goes to a foreign country.”

With Australia as the focus country at this year’s IFFI, Kher took the opportunity to pitch the idea to Australian representatives attending the festival. “I shared the story with some people from Australia. We are now working on the paperwork and permissions to make the film a reality,” he added.

He confirmed that ‘The Return’ would follow the release of ‘Tanvi The Great’, which is already completed and set to release soon.

On Thursday, veteran actor Anupam Kher revealed the teaser for ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’.

Rajiv Chilaka directs and produces the first live-action adaptation of the animated show ‘Chhota Bheem’, alongside Megha Chilaka.

Niraj Vikram writes the screenplay, with co-production by Srinivas Chilakalapudi and Bharath Laxmipati.

‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’ is set to hit theaters on May 24, featuring Makrand Deshpande and Yagya Bhasin among its cast.

The announcement of the film titled ‘Chhota Bheem And The Curse of Damyaan’ took place in Mumbai last year during the celebration of 15 incredible years of the beloved animation series.

Anupam Kher portrays Guru Shambhu, with Makarand Deshpande as Skandhi. Yagya Bhasin brings the central character, Chhota Bheem, to life, while Aashriya Mishra shines as Chutki. Surabhi Tiwari of Shagun fame appears as Tuntun Mausi.

However the announcement of the film ‘Chhota Bheem And The Curse of Damyaan’ was made last year in Mumbai on the occasion of cherishing 15 incredible years of the animated series.

In the film, Anupam Kher plays the role of Guru Shambhu, while Makarand Deshpande portrays Skandhi. The key character Chhota Bheem is played by the talented Yagya Bhasin, and Aashriya Mishra shines as Chutki. Well the famous Tuntun Mausi is played by non other than Surabhi Tiwari of Shagun fame.

Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, best known for his outstanding thrillers such as ‘A Wednesday’ and ‘Special 26’, is all set to come up with a new web series titled ‘The Freelancer’.

The project will star veteran actor Anupam Kher and Mohit Raina in the lead roles. As per a statement, ‘The Freelancer’ is based on the book – A Ticket to Syria by Shirish Thorat. Neeraj Pandey serves as the creator and showrunner of the series. Bhav Dhulia is directing it.

Excited about it, Neeraj Pandey in a statement said, “The Freelancer is a high-scale thriller series that unfolds an extraordinary rescue operation of a young girl held against her will in a war-torn Syria. If it was a great film then no power would’ve stopped it. Aamir Khan’s PK worked really well. The point is that you need to accept the truth. I am not for boycott trends, not at all but you can’t stop somebody from doing what they want to do. But if your product is good, it will find its audience. In fact, they will go with a vengeance. And the only way to kill this trend is to make brilliant work.”

Senior actor Anupam Kher attended the prayer meet of his late friend-actor Satish Kaushik on Monday. Post the meet, Anupam shared a video along with an emotional farewell note for his late friend on Instagram. He also added the song Do Lafzon Ki Hai Dil Ki Kahani from The Great Gambler in the background. The Kashmir files actor wrote in Hindi, “Ja! Tujhe maaf kiya! Mujhe akela chhod kar jaane ke liye! The Kashmir Files actor was seen walking along with Satish Kaushik’s wife Shashi Kaushik, holding her daughter Vanshika’s hand at the prayer meet. Apart from Anupam Kher, many Bollywood celebs attended the prayer meet of the late actor like Boney Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Vivek Agnihotri, Javed Akhtar, Jackie Shroff, and Vidya Balan.

Meanwhile, Satish Kaushik died from cardiac arrest hours after the Holi celebration on March 8 in Delhi. His sudden demise was caused by a heart attack.
