</excerpt>

In a jaw-dropping turn of events, a bride-to-be from Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh has been left shattered just days before her wedding. Shivani, a resident under the Madrak police station jurisdiction, was preparing to marry her fiancé, Rahul, on April 16. But what was supposed to be a joyous occasion turned into a nightmare after her mother, Anita, eloped with her would-be son-in-law — along with ₹3.5 lakh in cash and jewellery worth over ₹5 lakh.

“I was supposed to marry Rahul on April 16, and my mother eloped with him on Sunday,” Shivani told the media. “Rahul and my mother used to talk on the phone a lot over the past three to four months. We had ₹3.5 lakh in cash in the almirah and jewellery worth over ₹5 lakh. She has done everything he asked her to. She has not left even ₹10 behind. My mother has taken all our money.”

An emotionally crushed Shivani added, “She can do what she wants now, we don’t care. All we want is that the money and jewellery should be returned to us.”

Shivani’s father, Jitendra Kumar, who runs a business in Bengaluru, said he had noticed the growing closeness between Anita and Rahul. However, he chose not to intervene, thinking the wedding would resolve everything.

“That man would not speak to my daughter but would keep talking to my wife. I live in Bengaluru to run my business. I had heard that, for the past three months, they would talk to each other for 22 hours a day. I was suspicious but did not say anything because the wedding was around the corner,” said Jitendra Kumar.

He added, “Anita left with the man on April 6 and took all our cash and jewellery. I called Anita several times, but she had switched off her phone. I called the man too, but he kept denying that she was with him. Hours later, he finally said that I had troubled my wife for 20 years and that I should forget about her. Their phones were switched off after that.”

A missing persons report has been filed by the family, and local police have launched an investigation. An official from Madrak police station said, “A missing persons report was filed. We have registered a case and started an investigation. Necessary action will be taken.”

As the search for Anita and Rahul continues, the incident has left the entire village stunned — with many still trying to process how a wedding turned into a family scandal overnight.

The victim, identified as Haris alias Katta, had just returned from a cricket match and was preparing to have sehri at around 3:15 AM.

Chilling Details Captured on CCTV

CCTV footage from Telipada in Aligarh’s Roravar area reveals a horrifying sequence of events. Haris was standing near his house when two motorcycles pulled up. As he turned to observe, one of the attackers, already pointing a firearm, shot him while the bike was still moving. Within seconds, the pillion rider discharged two more shots, causing Haris to collapse. In a further act of brutality, the shooter reloaded and fired another bullet at the fallen victim. </excerpt>

A shocking incident unfolded in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman threw acid on a man during a meeting at a local restaurant. The incident has garnered significant attention, as it raises serious questions about blackmail, personal safety, and the lengths to which individuals may go when feeling threatened.

Incident Details

The confrontation occurred in the morning when the woman, who has requested anonymity, agreed to meet the man, identified as Vivek. According to reports, their meeting was prompted by ongoing threats and blackmailing from Vivek, who had allegedly promised to marry her. However, the woman had already moved on and married someone else.

During their conversation, the woman suddenly pulled out a bottle from her bag, opened the cap, and threw the liquid onto Vivek’s face, resulting in severe burn injuries. Eyewitnesses noted that after the incident, Vivek quickly removed his shirt and fled the scene before the police could arrive.

The Woman’s Allegations

Following the attack, the woman explained her actions to the authorities, stating, “He was blackmailing me and asking for money. That’s why I threw acid on him. I didn’t marry him; I married someone else. I’m divorced. He told me he would marry me but kept threatening me.”

Eyewitness Accounts

The restaurant manager recounted the events leading up to the attack, saying, “We had just opened the restaurant. When they came, we were cleaning. She was sitting outside and later came inside. Five minutes later, a man came to meet her. They ordered a dosa and chole bhature. I went for breakfast, and then a man came running and said, ‘Sir, please see what happened.’ I couldn’t understand what had happened, and then the woman said, ‘I threw acid on him.'”

Police Response

The police have confirmed that both individuals were known to each other and had personal disputes. “The man and the woman knew each other and there were personal differences. The man is on the run,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mayank Pathak. He further stated that it was too early to assess the veracity of the woman’s claims regarding the alleged blackmail, as the investigation is ongoing.

In addition to Vivek’s injuries, the woman also sustained burns in the incident, and she is currently receiving medical treatment. The police are making efforts to locate Vivek, who remains at large.

This incident highlights the severe implications of blackmail and threats in personal relationships. As the investigation continues, authorities are focusing on understanding the dynamics between the two individuals and ensuring justice is served.

The video, which depicted 4-5 girl students aged 6-12 working in the kitchen, led to an investigation initiated by the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA).

Rakesh Kumar Yadav, the BSA of Aligarh, stated on Sunday, “The issue came to light after a video from a primary school in Roravar, under the Lodha development block of Aligarh district, was widely shared. Basic Education Officer (BEO) Ram Shankar Kureel was assigned to investigate, and a three-member committee headed by him found the principal, Munawwar Jahan, guilty of negligence. As a result, she has been suspended.”

In a separate incident, Mohammad Imran, a principal at a composite school in Ramgarh, Aligarh district, was suspended for allegedly “mercilessly beating” a Class 6 student. This incident sparked outrage among locals, leading to a protest at the school. The village head, Bablu Baghel, reported the principal’s behavior to the BEO, and the student corroborated the incident. After the investigation, the BSA suspended Imran when he failed to respond to the notice issued against him.

Additionally, last month, a female teacher at a primary school was suspended by the BSA for “irresponsible behavior.” This action followed the circulation of two videos featuring the teacher, Dimple Bansal, with students aged 5-10. In the first video, Bansal was seen lying down and seemingly taking a nap during class while a few students fanned her. In the second video, she was observed caning some students with a stick.

A teacher was caught on camera taking a nap while students fanned her with a handheld fan. The video, which has since gone viral on social media, has sparked outrage and raised serious questions about the quality of education being imparted in government schools.

“If teachers themselves behave in such a manner, how can one expect quality education? A female teacher was caught on camera, making innocent children fan her to escape the scorching heat,” reads the caption to the video shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The incident took place at a government school in Gokulpura village, Dhanipur block. The video shows the teacher comfortably resting on a mat inside the classroom while young students take turns fanning her to provide relief from the scorching heat.

Faridabad police arrested a 42-year-old truck driver on Monday from Aligarh on suspicion of blackmailing at least 85 women. Ganesh Singh of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, told police he found a SIM card at a Dhaba in Rajasthan and used it to commit the crimes. Cops recovered his phone and discovered 485 obscene videos used to blackmail women, some of which had been downloaded from the internet.

Singh, according to Nitish Aggarwal, deputy commissioner of police (NIT), created multiple social media accounts from which he copied images and then morphed them to blackmail women. “He is a serial offender who often targeted women. His interrogation has revealed that he abused and blackmailed at least 85 women so far,” he said.

According to the officer, Singh frequently created fake social media accounts and used them to contact random women. He allegedly would then morph their images and blackmail them to gain sexual favours.

According to Aggarwal, the incident was discovered after police received a complaint from a victim who claimed she received a morphed photograph in a WhatsApp message on May 6 of this year. “The suspect asked her to not block his number, failing which he threatened to circulate the photograph on social media. She immediately informed her husband about the text. The husband found the suspect’s number switched off when he called him,” he said.

Singh has been charged with violating the Information Technology Act, and police have launched an investigation. According to the DCP, investigators tracked down the IP address from which the fake accounts were created, which led them to Singh.

Sube Singh, Faridabad police spokesperson, stated that the suspect was identified using his IP address, and his location was constantly changing.“Teams were formed and raids were conducted at Nagaur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Kishangarh, Rupangarh, Dausa, Alwar and Bharatpur but the suspect narrowly escaped each time,” he said.

According to Aggarwal, Singh admitted to constantly searching for women on social media platforms. He copied and morphed their profile pictures before sending them to their WhatsApp numbers. Aggarwal stated that the specifics of his previous involvements in such cases are being investigated. His phone has been sent to be forensically examined.
