</excerpt>

The Kremlin dismissed Western media claims on Monday suggesting Russia’s involvement in recent attacks on France’s railway system. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov condemned these accusations as baseless, asserting that Western media often seeks to blame Moscow without evidence.

French Railway Disruptions

The attacks on France’s train network occurred early Friday, causing significant disruptions and revealing security vulnerabilities just hours before the Paris Olympics’ opening ceremony. The sabotage targeted signal stations and cables on the high-speed rail network, leading to travel chaos across the country.

French Authorities’ Response

French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin stated on Saturday that foreign involvement could not be ruled out. However, he later suggested that far-left activists might be responsible for the attacks, rather than Russia. The ongoing investigation aims to identify the culprits and address the security gaps exposed by the sabotage.

Media Criticism

Peskov criticized the media’s tendency to unjustly accuse Russia of various incidents. He described such reports as “low-grade” and lacking credible evidence.

A 16-year-old girl succumbed to injuries after being allegedly stabbed multiple times by her alleged boyfriend here in New Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area, police said. Additional Deputy DCP, Outer North, Delhi, Raja Banthia, while talking to reporters, said that the parents of the accused are cooperating on the matter.

Sahil, the accused behind the horrific murder of a minor girl in New Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area was arrested by the Delhi Police near Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

The minor was allegedly killed after being stabbed multiple times and her head being crushed with a boulder by a man in New Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area, the police said. As per the police, the accused was in a relationship with the victim girl, but they had a quarrel on Sunday night after which he killed her with multiple assaults.

The CCTV visuals also appeared where the accused can be seen stabbing the girl multiple times and then hitting her head with a boulder. Several locals can be seen present there but no one intervenes in the matter.

The police had registered FIR in the matter under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Shahbad Dairy Police Station.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer North, Delhi, Raja Banthia told the reporters said that six teams have been formed to nab the accused and the deceased’s post-mortem is being conducted.

“The accused Sahil is 20 years old. Six teams have been formed to arrest the accused. Our probe is underway. His parents are cooperating in the matter. The accused will be arrested soon,” he said.

Raja Banthia added, “The girl was brought dead and a post-mortem is being conducted. There were several injuries on her body. She was stabbed more than 20 times”.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reacted on the incident and urged the Lieutenant Governor to take action in the matter.

“A minor girl was brutally killed in broad daylight. It is sad and unfortunate. There is no fear among the criminals. LG sir, the law and order is your responsibility, please do something. The security of the people of Delhi is the priority,” he said.

Delhi Minister Atishi also slammed LG VK Saxena and asked him to “pay attention” towards law and order in the national capital.

“My soul trembled after looking at this dreadful act. I want to remind Delhi LG that the Constitution has given him the responsibility of protecting the people of Delhi. But he spends most of his time in creating roadblocks for Arvind Kejriwal government. I request the LG with folded hands to pay attention to the safety of the women of Delhi. Today women are not at all safe in Delhi,” she said on Twitter.

BJP MP Gautam Gambhir reacted to the people being present there but not intervening.
“If such a barbaric attack had happened on one’s sister or daughter, would these people have gone on like this? Animals are not just them, but everyone,” he said in a tweet.

All the issues in the city are due to the BJP. These cities have had mayors from the BJP for the maximum and longest duration, but still, they have not provided smart cities. “BJP did not make a sustainable city but opened drains and dug roads, and corruption happened in every city. All the buildings that were built are the same. There have been only scams in the name of smart cities, he said while attending a press conference.

SP chief, Akhilesh Yadav claimed that all of the work completed in the cities occurred during his time as chief minister and that no work was carried out under the BJP’s rule.

“The work that is being seen today in Lucknow is the work of the SP. Samajwadi government gave the metro to Lucknow,” Akhilesh Yadav said.

Taking a dig at PM Modi, he claimed, “PM Narendra Modi had created a factory in Lucknow itself to generate electricity from the rubbish. However, power was never produced.
He continued, “They (the UP administration) destroyed the Varun River and the Gomti Riverfront. There is no such thing as a road without any traffic. We think that cities ought to be clean. That is why we have presented our concerns.

</excerpt>

Former US President Donald Trump has accused the present US government of destroying the country. He said that the world is likely to face an all-out nuclear World War III under the Biden administration.

The comments by the former US president came during his first public address since being arraigned on Tuesday.

Trump is the first former US President to be criminally charged relating to hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels. Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records at his arraignment in a Manhattan Court.

Trump said that there are open threats by various countries of the use of nuclear weapons, something which was never discussed during his administration.

“This could very well lead under the Biden administration’s leadership to an all-out nuclear World War III can happen. We’re not very far away from it, believe it or not,” Trump said during the address at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, soon after he flew back from New York.

Trump said that the US is now in a mess under President Joe Biden. “Our economy is crashing. Inflation is out of control. Russia has joined with China. Can you believe that? Saudi Arabia has joined with Iran,” he said.

Russia, Iran, China and North Korea have formed together as a “menacing and destructive coalition”, Trump said. He further said that this could have never happened under his leadership.

“If I were president it would have never happened. Nor would Russia attack Ukraine. All of those lives will be saved. All of those beautiful cities would be standing,” he said.

“Our currency is crashing and soon no longer be the world standard, which will be our greatest defeat frankly, in 200 years. There will be no defeat like that will take us away from being even a great power,” Trump said.

Accusing Biden of destroying US, Trump Sid, “If you took the five worst presidents in the history of the Unites States and added them up they would not have done near the destruction to our country as Joe Biden and the Biden administration have done.”

Nine years after Mohsin Shaikh, a 28-year-old Muslim techie was lynched on his way home from evening prayers, a Sessions court in Pune acquitted all those accused of his murder, including Dhananjay Jayram Desai, the leader of the radical Hindu Rashtra Sena (HRS).

SB Salunkhe, a Sessions Judge, acquitted all 21 accused. Hadapsar police charged them with murder, attempted murder, 143 (unlawful assembly), 147/148 (rioting with a weapon), 120B (conspiracy), and 153A of the Indian Penal Code.

Shaikh was from Solapur and worked as a technician in Pune. Several clashes erupted across the state after allegedly objectionable images of Shivaji Maharaj and Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray were circulated on social media. During this time, Desai was accused of making several inflammatory speeches. On June 2, 2014, Mohsin was returning from evening prayers with his friend Riyaz Ahmed when he was confronted by alleged Hindu Rashtra Sena members. He was rushed to the hospital, but he died that night.

“As Mohsin had a beard, a skull cap and was wearing a light green Pathani shirt, they attacked him with hockey sticks and banged a cement block on his head,” the FIR read. While granting bail to a couple of accused in the case Justice Mridula Bhatkar of Bombay High Court said they were provoked in the case Justice Mridula Bhatkar of Bombay High Court said they were provoked in the name of religion. “The fault of the deceased was only that he belonged to another religion. I consider this factor in favour of the applicants/accused.”

A theft was reported on Monday from the house of Anjali Singh, who perished horribly on New Year’s Day after being dragged beneath a car for several kilometers after it struck her scooty.

An LCD TV was reportedly one of the things stolen from Anjali’s family’s home in Karan Vihar, according to the family members. In addition, they said Nidhi, a friend of the victim, was behind the theft.

Speaking to ANI, Anjali’s sister said on Monday morning, “Our neighbours first informed us about the theft around 7.30 am in the morning. When we came here, we found the lock to be broken. The LCD TV and other household items, stacked under the bed were missing. The television is new. It has been two months since we purchased it.”

Another family member asked, “Why was there no police yesterday in front of the house? Police had been there for the last 8 days but was yesterday no one was there. We feel, Nidhi is behind the theft.”

Police said that the investigation is ongoing. Police also reported that the five accused arrested in the Sultanpuri hit-and-run case have admitted that they were aware that the woman was trapped beneath their grey Maruti Suzuki Baleno but continued to drive out of fear.

According to an officer with knowledge of the situation, it was noted in the disclosure made by the accused, which is what led to the addition of section 304 of the IPC (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) to the case.

However, the accused’s statement to the police is not admissible in court. Amit Khanna, Deepak Khanna, Krishan, Mithun, and Manoj Mittal are the five accused who are now being held in police custody for four days. They have been arrested for a number of offences, including reckless driving on public property and culpable homicide that does not constitute murder.

According to the Delhi Police, Ashutosh and Ankush Khanna were involved in protecting the five accused, hence they were arrested two more times. Ashutosh was taken into custody from Budh Vihar in northwest Delhi while Ankush turned himself up at the Sultanpuri police station. Amit, Krishan, Mithun, and Manoj collected the car on December 31 from Ashutosh, according to the authorities. He attempted to aid them in getting away with the crime following the occurrence and provided false information to the police in an effort to sway the investigation. Anjali Kumari, the victim, and her friend Nidhi were riding a scooter back from a New Year’s Eve celebration early on January 1 when they were struck by a Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
While Anjali’s body got entangled in the car’s undercarriage as it dragged her for at least 14 kilometres, Nidhi slid to the side.

Following criticism from the opposition parties over the incident, Vinod Arya was swiftly dismissed from the BJP government under Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister.
Following an altercation, Pulkit Arya was detained in connection with the case for allegedly pushing the woman into a canal. Ankit Gupta and Saurabh Bhaskar, two additional suspects, were also taken into custody.
On November 29, the Uttarakhand Police announced that its Special Investigation Team (SIT) was looking into the murder of Ankita Bhandari and had thought about subjecting all three suspects to a narco-analysis test.
Sona Devi and Virender Singh Bhandari, Ankita’s mother and father, had petitioned the Nainital High Court in November to have the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) look into the case.
The Gangster Act was used against the three defendants in the case, including main defendant Pulkit Arya, amid requests from the victim’s family that the investigation be turned over to the CBI.

In a major development to the Shraddha murder case, the accused Aaftab Amin Poonawala has made another huge and shocking revelation in the case. Aaftab has confessed that he Charred Shraddha’s face in order to hide her identity.

The Delhi Police sources said that he had first chopped her body into 35 pieces, then burnt her face in such a way that it becomes unidentifiable even if the body parts are discovered. “During the interrogation, Aftab revealed that he had learnt about all this on the internet, and also about how to hide the body from everyone’s reach,” the sources said.

The eastern district of police has been contact by their southern counterpart to match the DNA sample of the chopped body parts including a human head. According to the sources, the East Delhi Police had found a chopped head and hand in the Trilokpuri area of Pandav Nagar police station area of the national capital in June this year, which was nearly a month after Shraddha was murdered. The body parts found in East Delhi were sent for a DNA test, and the forensic report will be coming soon.

“Accused Aftab told the police that he used bleach to destroy the evidence, and also used chemicals so that not a single stain of blood remained on the floor,” the sources said.
“He threw all the parts of the body in the forest and left thumb at some other location,” the sources added.

The police also stated that during the interrogation, there was no remorse or feeling of guilt on the accused’s face. “When the police officer talks to the accused in Hindi, he replies in English. He sleeps peacefully in the police station lockup all night. After the murder, the friends of the accused Aftab also came to the house..but during that time he had hidden the parts somewhere else,” the source said.

“I feel I’m about to get justice”: Shraddha’s father after Delhi Police get leads

Shraddha Walker’s father on Thursday expressed his sorrow over the murder of his daughter. He said he had forbidden her from being in a relationship with Aftab , her boyfriend, however she did not listen to him.

According to her father, Vikas Madan Walker, Shraddha considered Aftab a right man for her, which is why she did not listen to him when he advised her to not be in a relationship with him. Victim’s father showed his faith in Delhi Police and said he is confident of getting justice after the Delhi Police is diving deep into the investigation.

“Delhi Police realised that Aftab sometimes lies and sometimes speaks the truth. So, they applied for the Narco test. I feel I’m about to get justice. He should be hanged,” he said.

“I have been feeling since the beginning that Aftab has been lying all along. I said this firstly to Mumbai Police and then to Delhi Police. He confessed right away, I doubted even this. He was confusing us with his lies. I told the Mumbai Police repeatedly but I don’t know why did they believe that he was telling the truth. Mumbai Police was working according to him. I could not argue much. It is their system,” he said.

Aftab committed the murder on 18th May and the Police resolved the case in mid November. The father of the victim doubted that Aftab would have erased all the evidences during the six months after committing the murder.

“He has a vicious mind which has erased all the evidence in 5-6 months. So, the police will have a problem bringing out the truth. I did not think initially that Aftab could do something like this. However, I had still forbidden Shraddha from having any relationship with him, but she did not listen to me. She considered Aftab right,” he said.
“I will not rest until he is hanged,” the father added.

Shraddha’s father, Vikas Walker said, “I suspect love jihad. We demand that Aftab be sentenced to death. I have faith in the Delhi Police as the investigation is moving in the right direction. Shraddha was close to her uncle and didn’t talk to me much. I was never in touch with Aftab. I lodged the first complaint in the case at Vasai (Mumbai).”

“I had spoken to Shraddha last in 2021. I would ask her to tell me more about her live-in partner. But she didn’t say much. I did not know she had shifted to Delhi. Her friend told me she was in Delhi. I thought that she was in Bengaluru. Aftab had a lot of time to remove all the evidence,” Shraddha’s father said.

The petition of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Mohammad Arif alias Ashfaq seeking a review of the top court’s earlier order has been dismissed by the Supreme Court. The court ordered to uphold the death sentence awarded to him in connection with the 2000 Red Fort attack case.

Mohammad Arif was sentenced to death by a bench comprising Chief Justice of India UU Lalit and Bela M Trivedi, who noted that his guilt had been established. The prosecution claims that on December 22, 2000, at around 9 o’clock, terrorists from the outlawed militant group Lashkar-e-Toiba entered the Lal Quila and began firing indiscriminately, killing three Army personnel from the 7 Rajputana Rifles.
The invaders successfully made their getaway by scaling the Lal Quila’s rear side boundary wall in the direction of the Ring Road side after the Quick Army Reaction Team members returned fire.

On October 31, 2005, the trial court found seven defendants guilty, including Arif, and sentenced him to death. The Delhi High Court and later the Supreme Court both upheld the death penalty.

Arif filed a review appeal in opposition to the ruling by the Supreme Court maintaining his death sentence in the case.

“It was an attack on Mother India. This is apart from the fact that as many as three persons had lost their lives. The conspirators had no place in India. Appellant was a foreign national and had entered India without any authorization or even justification. This is apart from the fact that the appellant built up a conspiracy by practicing deceit and committing various other offences in furtherance of the conspiracy to wage war against India as also to commit murders by launching an unprovoked attack on the soldiers of Indian Army,”the apex court said while upholding the death sentence.

Even after the death of over a hundred people, the accused people are not shying away from making irrelevant statements. One of the accused managers of the Overa company claimed “Act of God” in the court is the reason behind the tragedy, revealed the Additional Public Prosecutor of the case. Advocate HS Panchal said, “One of the two managers of Oreva company (that have been arrested) told the court that it is an ‘Act of God’.” Another major revelation was made that the cable wires of the bridge were not in a condition to be opened for the general public as they were rusted.

Advocate HS Panchal further said, “In the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report, the Investigating Officer (IO) said that the cable (of bridge)was rusting away. The Investigating Officer says that only flooring of the bridge was done and the cables were not changed, oiling-greasing also wasn’t done.”

When questioned about the accused’s specifics being held by police today, Panchal responded, “Two of the four people taken into police custody are managers at Oreva Co., while the other two worked on the bridge’s fabrication. Security guards and ticket sellers make up the other five people who were taken into custody by the court.”

“In the report, the Investigating Officer (IO) stated that the tender process did not take place and contract was directly allotted,” Advocate Panchal further said.

Speaking on the ongoing investigation, Rahul Tripathi, SP Morbi, said, “We are questioning all the four accused in our custody and we are trying to establish the liability of the different kinds of lapses in the bridge renovation. We are doing a thorough investigation and if anyone’s role comes forward, he or she will be booked and arrested.”
He added further, “Yes, We have given a scientific report to the court but details of the same can’t be shared with you at this stage as this will hamper our investigation.”

Two bar associations in Gujarat have decided they will not represent the suspects arrested in connection with the tragic Morbi bridge collapse. Both the Morbi Bar Association and the Rajkot Bar Association have issued resolutions stating that their lawyers will not represent the nine accused in the Oreva case, according to senior advocate of the Morbi Bar Association AC Prajapati, who spoke to news agency ANI.

After the bridge fell just days after being reopened to the public, the Ahmedabad-based Oreva Group has come under scrutiny. While congestion was a contributing cause, it has since come to light that the repairs were not done properly. The prosecution testified in court on Tuesday that although the bridge’s floor had been restored, the cable had not. Consequently, the cable broke as a result of the floor’s pressure. After the restoration, the floor itself grew heavier. Additionally, Chhath Puja caused a congestion of people.

After nearly eight months of restoration work, the bridge was finally reopened to traffic on October 26 by Oreva Group’s managing director Jaysukh Patel.

Patel revealed that Oreva hired experts and spent 2 crore on the makeover. And the bridge fell away four days later.

Nine individuals, including two managers of the Oreva firm, two subcontractors who had repaired the bridge, security officers, and ticket sales clerks, have been arrested in connection with the incident. While the remainders are being held in judicial custody, the managers and subcontractors have been taken into police custody.

Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel have been deployed across Coimbatore on Tuesday, following the incident in which a man was charred to death in a car explosion triggered by an LPG gas cylinder blast. Security has been increased across the city.

The RAF has been sent in to conduct security and search operations in public spaces, including bus stops and train stations. After a man was burned to death when the automobile he was riding in exploded at Ukkadam, close to the well-known Sangameshwarar temple in the city, on Sunday morning, Coimbatore City Police detained five individuals late on Monday night.

The accused, identified as Mohammed Dhalha, Mohammed Azarudeen, Mohammed Riyas, Feroz Ismail, and Mohammed Navaz Ismail, have been remanded to police custody.

The body of the deceased recovered from the blast site has been identified as 25-year-old Jamesa Mubin.

The images from the nearby CCTV camera appeared to show five people allegedly removing a gunny bag from Mubeen’s home on Saturday, according to the police.
Police claim they found materials necessary to construct crude explosives, including potassium nitrate, aluminium, and sulphur, during a search of Mubin’s home in Ukkadam’s Kottaimedu neighbourhood.

We have also recovered nails and ball bearings from the spot where the explosion happened. We have identified the source of the cylinders and the car. This could not be a suicide attack, “said state Director General of Police C Sylendra Babu.

K Annamalai, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tamil Nadu, asserted that the incident was a terrorist act with ties to ISIS. He also raised concerns about the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) administration’s reluctance to properly investigate the explosion.

Taking to Twitter, Annamalai said, “Coimbatore Cylinder Blast is no more a ‘cylinder blast’. It’s a clear-cut terror act with ISIS links. Will CM Stalin come out in the open and accept this? For the past 12 hours, the TN government has been withholding this information. Is this not a clear failure of the state intelligence machinery and the DMK Govt.? ”
He further claimed that terror elements were active in the state.
“The accused who died during the course of planning this attack had clear-cut links to ISIS and was handled from outside the country. Still, some of the elements are active in TN soil. Go mercilessly after these nodes. “CM M.K. Stalin, please come out of your hiding and own your failure,” he added.

Man harassed and extorted money from woman, held

A man allegedly blackmailed, harassed, and extorted Rs 7 lakh from a woman in exchange for the deletion of pictures circulated online, police officials said on Sunday.

Anshul Srivastava, a one-sided lover who tormented the accused through emails, messages, and the uploading of images to social media without the complainant’s permission, has been named as the accused.

“The woman filed a complaint that one person is continuously harassing, threatening, and bullying her through emails, messages and uploading pictures without her consent on various social media platforms. The accused was defaming her by sending her pictures to her friends and family and demanded Rs. 7,00,000 from the complainant to delete/remove the pictures from the sites,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West District, New Delhi, Manoj C.

According to the police, the accused’s possessions included one mobile phone, two sim cards, two ATM cards, and one bank chequebook.

“On October 21, the team with the help of local police staff succeeded to apprehend the accused and after sustained interrogation, he disclosed the commission of the crime. In his instance, one mobile phone, two alleged sim cards, two alleged atm cards, and one bank chequebook were recovered,” said the Deputy Commissioner of Police.

On further interrogation, it was found that the accused was in love with the complainant and became over-possessive about her colleagues and friends.
“Despite her not responding to his activities, he kept trying to impress her and kept sending e-mails. He used the app INDYCALL to use proxy numbers to call the complainant. Thereafter, he even threatened her elder sister to give him Rs. 10,00,000 or be engaged with him for his lustful desire to delete her sister’s photos,” said Manoj C.
The police have registered an FIR under 354A/384/506/499/420/509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

A special MP/MLA court on Tuesday handed down a two-year prison term in a 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots case to BJP legislator Vikram Saini and 11 other accused.

They were found guilty of rioting and other offences by Special Judge Gopal Upadhyay, who also fined them each Rs10, 000.

Due to a lack of evidence, the court freed 15 other accused in the case.

Saini, a BJP lawmaker from Khatauli in Uttar Pradesh, stated that he will appeal the verdict.

The MLA and others were held, and after providing two sureties totaling 25,000 for bail, they were released in order to go before the high court.

The 12 were found guilty under IPC sections 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting with lethal weapons), and 149 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), as well as 353 (assault or criminal force to prevent a public worker from doing his duties) (unlawful assembly).

The National Security Act was also used to charge Vikram Saini.

A crowd was returning from the cremation of two Jat youths when the BJP MLA and 26 other accused were on trial for their involvement in the violence at Kawal village.

Communal violence in Muzaffarnagar and surrounding areas in August and September 2013 that claimed 60 lives and forced 40,000 people to flee their homes were started by the killings of two youngsters, Gaurav and Sachin, and one Shahnawaz.
