Shocking Footage: Fatal Bike Accident of Indian MBBS Student in Vietnam

A fatal crash in Vietnam killed a 21-year-old Indian MBBS student, Arshid Ashrith, when his speeding motorcycle crashed into a wall. The deadly accident took place in Can Tho city and was caught on CCTV, exposing the gruesome moment in stark detail.

The video posted by @Deadlykalesh on X depicts an otherwise calm street with slow-moving traffic when a speeding motorcycle comes into view from the opposite direction. In a bid to miss another cyclist, Arshith veered abruptly to the left. The maneuver saw the motorcycle swerve onto the footpath and crash against a resident’s home wall.

The impact was so powerful that the bike turned over twice in mid-air before landing a few feet away, totally destroyed. Ashrith and his friend, who was riding pillion, were both thrown off because of the impact. Whilst Ashrith died on the spot, his friend was badly injured and is still in critical condition.

Who was Arshid Ashrith?

Ashrith, a third-year MBBS student, was from Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district of Telangana. His parents, cloth merchants by profession, are in shock over the loss. Local MLA Dr. P Harish Babu reportedly visited their residence to condole the family. He was said to have called Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on the phone during the visit and sought his intervention for speedier repatriation of Ashrith’s body to India.

It’s the third incident of Indian students abroad in a span of three months. Last month in May, 20-year-old Manav Patel and Saurav Prabhakar (23), students at Cleveland State University, died in a car accident in Pennsylvania when their car rammed into a tree and crashed into a bridge. Three weeks ago in April, 21-year-old Indian student Harsimrat Kaur Randhawa was killed by a stray bullet while standing in line at a bus stop in Canada.

These successive tragedies have put the Indian student diaspora in mourning and have evoked doubts about the safety of students abroad.

A medical team on its way to conduct a health check-up for fasting farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal met with a tragic accident near Jhore Majra village in Samana early this morning, leaving team members injured.

The team is injured and admitted in Rajindra hospital, Patiala.

Dallewal, who has been on hunger strike for nearly a month, demands the government accept the recommendations by the parliamentary committee and enact a law that ensures Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said Dallewal has shown selfless commitment to his cause and he expressed Rahul Gandhi’s concerns for the health of the farmer leader. The Supreme Court has nudged Punjab authorities to persuade Dallewal to seek medical attention, even as Dallewal had written to the court himself seeking intervention to push the central government to meet some of the farmers’ demands.

Police confirmed the accident and stated that the fire spread to several trucks. “The fire has engulfed several trucks. The exact number is unclear. Burn victims were rushed to hospitals in ambulances,” said Bhankrota SHO Manish Gupta.

In a video of the incident, the woman can be seen perilously hanging outside the train by the handrails. She was recording a video with a friend when the tree branch struck her and caused her to fall. She survived with minor injuries.

Despite the scary scenes, police reported that she had miraculously escaped with minor injuries. The bushes to which she fell cushioned her fall because they protaected her head, which otherwise would have seriously been harmed. Authorities confirmed that the tourist only suffered some scratches.

A tragic accident claimed the lives of three men when their car drove off an under-construction bridge in Uttar Pradesh, reportedly while following Google Maps directions. Authorities have registered an FIR against four engineers and an official from Google Maps, as confirmed by district officials.

According to a PTI report, the FIR names two assistant engineers and two junior engineers from the Public Works Department (PWD), along with unidentified individuals. The local Google Maps representative is under investigation, though their name is not yet included in the FIR.

Budaun district magistrate Nidhi Srivastava stated, “Apart from corrective measures at the site, FIR under section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the BNS has been registered against 2 Assistant Engineers and 2 Junior Engineers of PWD and unknown persons.”

Details Of The Accident

The victims, brothers Nitin and Ajit, both 30, and Amit, 40, were traveling from Noida to Faridpur, Bareilly, to attend a wedding. According to police in Budaun, Google Maps led the driver to the unfinished bridge, which lacked barriers or warning signs despite being partially collapsed from earlier flood damage.

The car fell into the Ramganga River from the incomplete bridge in the Dataganj Police Station area early Sunday morning.

Following the incident, district magistrate Srivastava directed the PWD and Setu Nigam to conduct inspections of all roads and bridges in the region to prevent similar tragedies.

23-year-old killed in wrong-way crash, family demands justice

In a dreadful accident, a 23-year-old man named Akshat Garg was killed after his motorcycle was badly hit by a car driving in the wrong direction on Golf Course Road, DLF Phase II, and early Sunday morning.

The deceased died within minutes due to internal bleeding and injuries in the groin area.
The accident happened in the early morning between 5.45-6 AM. The deceased’s friend and colleague, Pradyuman Kumar, aged 22, was following him on another motorcycle from behind.

Talking to The Daily Guardian, his friend Pradyuman Kumar said that, “This horrific incident, which could only be described as murder due to the driver’s intentional wrong-side driving on a national highway, cost Akshat his life. Despite the gravity of the crime, the driver has been released on bail, with authorities deeming this fatal act a bailable offense.”

According to Gurgaon police, after crossing the Sikanderpur-Cyberhub flyover, the deceased along with Kumar (the complainant) and other bikers approached a turn when a Mahindra XUV 300 car suddenly appeared, coming from the wrong direction.
The car had a political sticker on its bonet and collided head-on with Garg’s bike.
Kumar also alleged that initially the police was not even taking the copy of his Gopro camera’s footage which had the entire recording of the accident.

Naresh Kumar, Assistant PRO Gurugram police said that the driver was arrested from the spot. “He was later identified as Kuldeep Kumar Thakur, 25, of Madhubani, Bihar. As far as his profession is concerned, he handles social media campaigns for elections and had a BJP’s sticker on the car’s bonet. There is no political connection in this case.”
On Kumar’s complaint, an FIR was registered against Thakur under several sections, including Section 116 (compensation after a motor vehicle accident), 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence).

Talking to TDG, the deceased elder brother Mayank Garg who is 24 years old said that “When we went to the Police Station, the accused was not even put behind the bars. He was sitting in a room alongside the IO. I just met him for 2 minutes and the police officials were consoling us that such accidents do occur. Surprisingly, he was given a bail on the very same day despite the fact that the accident happened on Sunday and Monday was a holiday (Eid).”

He further said that “It seemed that the police were not even ready to proceed with the case and we don’t know if there’s any political connection to it. Our family will be filing a case against Thakur (accused) for criminal negligence and for compensation. We are in a deep stress as I’ve lost my brother. We both were the bread winners for our family and we have a small sister who is just 6 years old. We have some debts on us too. Now, it’s all on me and I’ll have to take care of family on my own.”He also alleged that as far as Thakur is concerned, we have recieved some information that he is track recorder as he keeps changing his location every two three months but we have found out his native place.

Several individuals were rushed to hospitals

According to the City of Apache Junction, AZ’s website, “Ten individuals were transported to multiple hospitals by ambulance, while fifteen others received treatment on-site for minor injuries. At least five additional individuals drove themselves to local hospitals for further medical evaluation. Currently, one person remains in critical but stable condition, with ongoing improvements to their health.”

Kain now faces 12 charges of aggravated assault, 17 counts of endangerment, and a DUI – slightest degree. Authorities have indicated that additional charges could be filed, depending on blood test results that will determine the “extent of alcohol impairment.”

In a statement, the Elks Lodge expressed their sympathy, saying, “In response to the unfortunate incident at the Apache Junction Elks Lodge last night, we want to express our heartfelt sympathy and support for all those impacted. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we want to recognize the tireless efforts of the first responders who assisted.”

The Apache Junction Police Department, in collaboration with the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control, is investigating the crash. The City of Apache Junction, AZ website also emphasized the risks of driving under the influence.

Reports from authorities indicate that the accident occurred when a tractor, driven by 28-year-old Tarvez Salauddin Ahmed from Uttar Pradesh, was speeding in the expressway’s first lane—a prohibited zone for tractors. Approaching from behind, a Jayashree Travels bus operated by Sanjay Patil, 54, attempted to overtake the tractor but lost control during the maneuver, resulting in a collision.

The impact was severe, causing the tractor to skid about 100 feet and break into two pieces, while the bus crashed through the left-side railing and toppled into a 10-15 foot ditch. Tragically, Ahmed and an unidentified passenger in the tractor were killed instantly, along with three bus passengers identified as Gurunath Babu Patil, 70, Ramdas Narayan Mukadam, 70, and Hansabai Hari Patil.

Police in Pune have obtained new CCTV footage related to the Porsche crash accident involving a 17-year-old boy accused of crashing the luxury car into a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of two software engineers last month.

The footage, from the Yerwada area, allegedly shows an employee of Sassoon General Hospital receiving a bribe as part of a scheme to swap the juvenile driver’s blood samples. Ashpak Makandar, acting as a middleman, reportedly handed ₹3 lakh to hospital employee Atul Ghatkamble at the Juvenile Justice Board premises.

Ghatkamble, along with the hospital’s suspended forensics department head Dr. Ajay Taware and former casualty medical officer Dr. Shrihari Halnor, has been arrested for allegedly tampering with the minor’s blood samples.

Initially taken at Sassoon General Hospital hours after the incident on May 19, suspicions arose prompting a second sample collection at Aundh Government Hospital. A third sample from the juvenile’s father was subsequently tested, revealing manipulation in the initial sample.

The parents of the accused of the Porsche crash have also been arrested in connection with the alleged blood sample tampering. The incident occurred in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area during which the minor, driving at 160 kmph, collided with a motorcycle, killing Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa.

It was revealed through CCTV footage that the teenager, son of builder Vishal Agrawal, had hosted a party celebrating his Class 12 results the previous night, involving alcohol consumption and late-night driving.

Three separate cases have been registered: one for the accident, another against a pub accused of serving alcohol to the minor, and a third implicating the accused’s father for allowing him to drive without a valid license.

Additionally, a case of wrongful confinement and coercion involving the family driver taking responsibility for the accident has led to the arrest of the accused’s grandfather.

The Juvenile Justice Board has extended the observation home remand of the accused until June 25 to facilitate ongoing investigations, citing concerns that his release could disrupt proceedings.

The Audi car immediately fled from the place after the collision. The incident was captured on CCTV.

“The deceased was identified as Janak Dev Shah, a resident of Gijhore in Sector 53. Shah is a retired employee from Akashwani,” said Vivek Kumar Shrivastava, station house officer, Sector 24.

“Shah was going to buy milk from a market near his home when the speeding car hit him from the front at an intersection near Kanchanjunga market at 6.30 am,” said SHO Shrivastava. CCTV footage shows the car hitting Shah with such speed that he was flung in the air.

Police said that a passerby called the emergency helpline number 112 and informed them about the accident, after which a police response vehicle (PRV) rushed to the scene and took Shah to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared dead.

DTC Buses Collide In Delhi’s Nauroji Nagar, 2 Injured

Two Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses collided near the Nauroji Nagar Bus Stand on the outer ring road, resulting in minor injuries to two individuals.

The incident, as reported by the authorities at the Safdarjung Enclave Police station, took place when a DTC electric bus, driven by Akash, was picking up passengers at the Nauroji Nagar Bus Stand. Another DTC electric bus, driven by Chandveer, collided with the stationary bus.

Mukesh Kumar, a resident of West Sagarpur, and Shamshula, a resident of Durga Park, sustained minor injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the AIIMS Trauma Centre.

Driver Akash stated, “A bus hit my bus from behind when my bus was parked. No one is injured. The damage has happened to the buses only. I immediately informed the police.”

Legal action is being pursued in the matter.
