IPL 2025 Points Table Updated: Delhi Capitals Defeat Punjab Kings to Secure Fifth Place

Delhi Capitals completed their IPL 2025 campaign in dominating six-wicket style against Punjab Kings at Jaipur on Saturday. The win enabled DC to finish with 15 points and slot into the fifth position in the points table.

Punjab’s top-two hopes rest in the balance

Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings lost a golden chance to boost their top-two prospects. PBKS are now at 17 points, tied with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, but still second due to a superior Net Run Rate (NRR). Their qualification prospects now rely on the result of their last league encounter against Mumbai Indians.

Playoff race intensifies

The fight for the top is equally intense. Gujarat Titans sit atop with 18 points, and RCB and PBKS are tied at 17. Mumbai Indians, two points short at 16, also have the opportunity to force themselves into the top two. All three of these teams have one league match still left, and any of them may seal the top-two position that brings a safety net in the playoffs.
