Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted to the BJP’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, saying he was ‘humbled’ by the people’s decisive mandate. He assured, “We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring Delhi plays a prime role in building a Viksit Bharat.” Modi also acknowledged the hard work of BJP workers said, “I am so proud of every single @BJP4India Karyakarta, who has worked very hard, leading to this outstanding result. We will work even more vigorously and serve the wonderful people of Delhi.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal accepted defeat in a short video message with the words, “The results of the Delhi election were declared today and we accept the verdict of people. The decision of people is supreme. I congratulate BJP for winning the election, and I wish they live upto the aspirations and imagination of the people who have made them majority.”

Arvind Kejriwal lost the seat from New Delhi to BJP’s Parvesh Verma. The BJP is leading with 47 out of 70 seats, whereas AAP leads in 23. Other leaders from AAP, including Manish Sisodia, were also lost. The contest was settled much before 2:30 pm despite leads that was initially produced.
