A robbery case has been reported in Budhanpur Chamar Kheda village, where thieves broke into a locked house and made away with cash and jewellery worth lakhs.
The family had gone to a wedding at the time of the incident. The thieves entered the house by climbing the wall and committing theft by breaking the locks of the room and cupboard. The family learned about the theft after returning from the wedding. Police have registered a case based on the complaint.
On the complaint of the victim, the Sadar police station registered a case and started searching for the thieves. Ajay Panwar, a resident of Budhanpur Chamar Kheda, told that the day before, he and his family had gone to the wedding of his maternal uncle›s son. The house was locked. When we returned home the next day, we found all the stuff scattered inside the house.
Cash worth Rs 1.20 lakh, two sets of gold earrings, a gold queen necklace, three rings, four gold chains, a gold tikka, gold tops, silver anklets, and other items were found missing from the cupboard. Jewellery worth around Rs 2 lakh has been stolen.
