Security forces prevented a potential disaster by uncovering and neutralizing an improvised explosive device (IED) along the Srinagar-Baramulla highway in Jammu and Kashmir. The discovery occurred during routine patrols at Lawaypora, prompting a temporary suspension of traffic on the busy route after a gas cylinder was spotted roadside. A bomb disposal unit safely detonated the suspected IED, averting any damage or harm.
