On one hand, the state government is sending teachers and children on foreign tours to raise the level of education in government schools in Punjab so that the students can gothere and understand the importance of education and achieve great heights. On the contrary, the pictures look different at Bungal Badhani Senior Secondary School in Pathankot district. In this school of the district, a Punjabi teacher brutally beat a student of the school just for laughing, due to which the eardrum of the 12th-grade student got
ruptured. He is undergoing treatment in a government hospital. When the media tried to talk to the principal of the concerned school about this, he was not found in the school.
When the father of the victim student was talked to in this regard, he told me that he worksas a daily wage laborer, and when he returned home in the evening, he came to know thathis son was beaten by the school teacher. He told me that when he went for treatment, it was found that the son's eardrum had burst. The student's father has demanded action
against the teacher so that no other student has to suffer such harassment.
The doctor said, that a child had come to them for treatment, and was informed that theteacher had beaten him, due to which he was having difficulty hearing. After initial treatment, the patient has been referred to Pathankot Civil Hospital.
