Room-Bound Cravings

II crave food, but my room’s my lair,
The kitchen’s distant, oh, that’s not fair.
My chair’s so cosy, snug as can be,

Longing for a snack, within arm’s spree.

A treat nearby, within my grasp,
To silence hunger’s noisy rap.
In this comfort, I’m cocooned,
Until hunger’s roar is again resumed.

Hunger resumes, but my chair’s still so cosy,
Longing for a snack, but also, I’m oh, so sleepy!

I crave food, but my room’s my lair,
The kitchen’s distant, but that’s not fair
Is it?
