Deputy Chairman of the State Sanitation Workers Commission, Deepak Dandoria, held a meeting at the corporation headquarters on Friday to address the issues of sanitation workers. During this, he said that sanitation workers will not do the job of officers, and will only work as sanitation workers.
He also said that if sanitation workers are found cleaning sewers without any resources, a case will be filed against the responsible officer. The Heritage Corporation Commissioner and all officers of the corporation were present at the meeting. Chief Sanitation Inspectors of the corporation told Dandoria that due to the lack of resources like trolleys and hoopers, the sanitation system is not functioning properly in the wards. In addition, employees who retire while working in the corporation are not paid for two to three years, because of which they have to visit offices repeatedly for their funds.
Chief Health Inspectors said that the files of deceased inmates in the corporation are not released quickly. As a result, many deceased inmates do not get appointments for years. In the sanitation worker recruitment of 2018, the sanitation workers who were appointed did not do sanitation work but were stationed in offices. Considering all these problems, Deputy Chairman of the State Sanitation Workers Commission, Deepak Dandoria, directed Heritage Commissioner Rajendra Singh Shekhawat to expedite the payment of those retired employees whose payment has not been made by the corporation administration.
