In connection with this case, the police have filed charges under various sections of the Excise Act against two individuals. This incident marks another instance of a substantial seizure of alcohol on National Highway-152D by the police.

According to information, the CBI police received intel during a patrol on Wednesday morning that a container from Punjab, traveling on National Highway-152D, was transporting a large quantity of liquor to Gujarat. Acting on this information, the police set up a checkpoint near the Jat Guwana Toll Plaza. After some time, the container was spotted coming from the direction of Dadri.

The police stopped it, and the driver identified himself as Hanuman Godara, a resident of Pirokatala Thana Sedwa in Barmer district, Rajasthan. Following this, the police inquired about the goods and documents in the vehicle, and the driver showed a bill for 418 boxes of medicine. Upon further inspection, the police broke the seal of the container. Beneath the tarpaulin, a substantial amount of illicit liquor in bottles was discovered. When questioned about the illicit liquor, the driver failed to produce any license or permit.

Subsequently, the police took the driver, along with the container, to the Narnaul Sadar Police Station. Upon further examination, the police found a total of 515 cases of illicit liquor inside the container.

The container driver, during interrogation, revealed that he was transporting illicit liquor from Chandigarh to Rajkot, Gujarat, as per the instructions of Hanuman Saharan from Barmer.
