MLA Acharya asks police to take action against non-veg stalls

Baba Balmukund Acharya, the MLA representing the Hawa Mahal constituency, continues his proactive stance against non-veg shops in Jaipur. In a recent incident, Acharya visited the MM Khan Non-Veg Restaurant situated at Ramgarh Mod around 8:30 pm on Wednesday.
Expressing dissatisfaction with unauthorised encroachments outside the establishment, he directed police officers, including ACP Aditya Puniya and Brahmpuri Thana Officer Rajendra Godara, to take immediate action.
Balmukund Acharya, who has been vocal about the issue in the past, emphasized the need to address encroachments during the tourist season, citing complaints of traffic jams in Jaipur’s outskirts.
He highlighted the inconvenience caused to both tourists and residents due to shops encroaching upon footpaths. Despite repeated complaints, he claimed that no substantial action had been taken, leading to his intervention.
During the encounter at MM Khan Non-Veg Restaurant, Acharya expressed his discontent directly to ACP Aditya Puniya and Brahmpuri Thana Officer Rajendra Godara, stating that he had brought this matter to their attention multiple times without seeing any tangible results. Confronting the officers, Acharya conveyed his frustration, indicating that if the issue remained unaddressed, he might suggest relocating the concerned officer to the border.
MLA Balmukund Acharya underscored the need for strict action against unauthorized encroachments, emphasising that many establishments occupying footpaths lacked the necessary licenses. He pledged not to tolerate such violations, calling for effective measures to alleviate traffic congestion and uphold public safety.
The ongoing conflict between different authorities, with the police citing the municipality’s responsibility and vice versa, has left footpaths unattended, allowing businesses to encroach upon public spaces. As MLA Balmukund Acharya continues to champion the cause against unauthorised encroachments, the issue remains a focal point for residents and authorities alike.
