Kurukshetra University to set up regional center for foreign languages, CM Manohar Lal announces

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that a university in Hyderabad has proposed to establish a regional center for English and foreign languages. In response, the state government has put forward a proposal for a similar center at Kurukshetra University. In this context, a center for world languages will be established at Kurukshetra University, which already houses a center for the Bhagavad Gita. Through this, we can connect with several countries on a single platform and disseminate the messages of the Gita worldwide.
The Chief Minister addressed the inauguration of a three-day International Gita Conference at Kurukshetra University on Sunday. He mentioned that after the success of the initiative from Dharm Nagari (referring to Kurukshetra), several countries are now organizing International Gita Festivals. Moreover, numerous countries are inviting us to host the International Gita Festival in their nations.
He emphasized that the Bhagavad Gita is not just a book but the essence of life, relevant globally and throughout time. In the current era of global understanding and collaboration among nations, the message of the Gita is crucial for leading the world towards peace. He stated that through the teachings of the Gita, we can guide the world and achieve global peace.
The Chief Minister highlighted that in today’s times, mutual understanding among nations will lead to global unity and progress towards peace. He emphasized that the solution to problems will emerge not through war but through dialogue. During the event, Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi and Gita scholar Swami Gyananand also addressed the conference. The occasion included the release of a souvenir containing 448 research papers. Guests present at the event included the Cultural Minister of Assam, Bimal Bora, MP Naib Singh Saini, Minister of State Sardar Sandeep Singh, Chief Secretary of Assam Pavan Kumar Borthakur, and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Somanath Sachdeva.
