For the past 66 days, Anil Vij had ceased to look at the Health Department’s files. Vij was upset over the interference of Rajesh Khullar, the Chief Minister’s Officer on Special Duty. Additionally, he was in conflict with Director Dr. Sonia Khullar. Following disputes with Haryana’s Health Minister Anil Vij, Dr. Sonia Trikha Khullar, who suddenly resigned from her job, took the oath as a member of the Haryana Public Service Commission on Tuesday. After serving as Director in the Health Department for over a year, she retired voluntarily on Monday. Her retirement was sanctioned by the additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, Dr. G. Anupama. In the presence of CM Manohar Lal, Haryana’s Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath to Sonia Khullar.
It’s worth mentioning that for the past 66 days, Vij had stopped reviewing the Health Department’s files due to interference from Rajesh Khullar, the CM’s Officer on Special Duty. Moreover, he was also in a dispute with Director Dr. Sonia Khullar. Only after the confirmed information of Dr. Sonia Khullar’s appointment as an HPPSC member on Sunday, Vij resumed work.
Vij also called the staff on duty on Sunday and began the process of addressing pending files. He managed the remaining files in his office at the Secretariat on Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, after the Health Department’s Director, Dr. Sonia Trikha Khullar, stepped down, Health Minister Anil Vij started processing departmental files on Monday. On the first day, approximately 300 files were resolved. Alongside this, Vij held a meeting with Health Department officials for a review. The meeting was attended by the additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, Dr. G. Anupama, the Additional Director, Dr. R.S. Punia, Director Dr. Kuldeep Singh, and other officials.
