In commemoration of Gita Jayanti, a cultural spectacle unfolded at the Public Works Department’s auditorium in Panchkula. The event, inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varsha Khanagwal, saw the presence of esteemed guests including District Council CEO Gagandeep Singh, District Education Officer Satpal Kaushik, DIO Satpal Sharma, Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board Secretary Sharda, and PO Chirag Mehra.

The evening commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Varsha Khanagwal, setting the stage for an array of captivating performances. Kumari Prachi opened the cultural program with a mesmerizing rendition of Ganesh Vandana. The audience was treated to the soulful presentation by Harvinder Rana’s group, who sang the grand glory of Shiva with the captivating lyrics, “Tu Raja Ki Raj Dulari Mein Sarp Langote Wala Su,” earning thunderous applause. Subsequent acts featured Kamakshi’s spiritual presentation and a delightful portrayal of Shri Krishna and Radha by school girls, depicting the enchanting Madhuban episode.

The narrative then took a profound turn as an artist delved into the wisdom of Geeta, and Satya presented a melodious tricolor melody that resonated in every corner. The cultural mosaic continued with Neha and Khushi, students of Tiranga Sarthak School, passionately narrating the dialogue of Dhritarashtra Sanjay, akin to the nectar festival of Mother Ganga flowing into every household.

Ragini eloquently presented the concept of the universe being created and sustained by a higher power, drawing a metaphorical connection to the fruits we reap from the trees we plant. The event reached its crescendo with students from Satluj Public School delivering a captivating presentation of Matki Phod Nandlal Gunthan Ras, based on Brij Ras, bringing a fitting conclusion to the celebration of Geeta Jayanti through the lens of culture and spirituality.
