A list of officials who have been accused of sexual offenses is being compiled by the education department in Gurugram is response to the rise in sexual crimes that occur in the state’s educational institutions. The information will be posted on the official criminal website.

A senior department official stated, “The state government has a policy of suspending facilities like social pensions, arms licences, and scholarships for employees against whom charges of sexual crimes are framed.
The registrars of all state and private universities and the principals of government, self-financed, and aided colleges have been asked to monitor the progress of the pilot project of collecting the data of such government servants and updating the same on the portal.

The chief minister has also asked the deputy commissioners of the districts to take advance action against the suspension of facilities as soon as any FIR is registered against a government employee under cases of dowry death, rape, attempt to rape, sexual harassment, disrobing, stalking, trafficking of women, and acid attack, among others.

The department, meanwhile, will also organise special training sessions for heads of government schools, assistant block resource coordinators (ABRCs), and block resource persons in connection with the Child Protection Act. The programme will be organised in collaboration with the women and child development (WCD) department.

The faculty of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) will impart training to 1,493 ABRCs and BRPs at their respective offices from December 26–29. The latter will then organise a day-long programme for principals or heads of government schools at the block level in the second phase from January 1 to 6 in different batches.
The department regularly offers this kind of training, but we only reach out to a limited group of instructors once a year for a child protection awareness campaign.
However, this curriculum would be designed for everyone, according to a department of education representative. It has been requested that master trainers be made available for this reason by the director of the department of women and child development.
