Recently, after consuming food at a government school in Sangrur, 60 children fell ill. Despite strict action taken by the Education Minister against the school, revoking its license, a similar incident is unfolding in Nokodar. A case has come to light at a Saint Jude School, where 10 to 12 children fell suddenly ill after drinking water, admitted to Nokodar’s private hospital by the school staff.
According to the parents, the school administration is grossly negligent in caring for the children. As per the children, they found lizards and dead rats in the water cooler hidden in the school. The families of the affected children are extremely disappointed, stating that the school administration is entirely careless. The private hospital doctors mentioned that after drinking water from the local Convent School in Nokodar, students fell ill and have been continuously reporting symptoms of vomiting and food poisoning. Currently, the affected children are receiving ongoing treatment to address the risks.
