State secretariat disaster conditions were inspected by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday.

In order to mitigate the effects of a disaster in the state, he issued instructions. “A plan should also be prepared for the rehabilitation of the villages which are likely to be threatened by the disaster,” he said.

Dhami added that in order to permanently treat places devastated by natural disasters and landslides, such as Pithoragarh’s El Dhara and Nainital’s Ballia Nala, the services of national and international level consultants should also be taken into account.

Additionally, he directed effective treatment to be provided.

At the high-level review meeting, Dr. S.S. Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Radha Raturi, and Secretary of Disaster Management Dr. Ranjit Sinha attended the high-level review meeting.

The state has seen significant destruction as a result of the intense rainfall, cloudbursts, and landslides.

Dhami visited the cloudburst-affected Khotila village in Pithoragarh’s Dharchula district earlier on Sunday and assessed the status of the relief and rescue efforts.

In the community of Khotila, as many as 58 families lost their homes. He also spoke with victims of tragedy.

“There is a lot of damage here. 58 families lost their houses in Khotila village. Damaged roads will be repaired. We are making efforts for the rehabilitation and treatment of the affected people,” CM said.

At midnight in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, a cloud burst occurrence in the Lasko river, which flows close to the border between India and Nepal, resulted in the death of a woman and the destruction of over 30 homes.
