The city has witnessed a continual rise in theft cases, with recent incidents numbering five, all without any success in tracing the culprits. At approximately 4:00 PM last Friday, burglars forcibly entered a residence on Veerwar by breaking the locks, stealing a substantial amount of cash, gold, and silver items. Upon their return in the evening, the homeowner in Patna discovered the break-in and promptly lodged a complaint at the Civil Lines Police Station. The police promptly arrived at the scene to launch an investigation in pursuit of the thieves.
Robin Shimla from 26/6 Ajith Road mentioned that his mother works at a medical store while his wife is a government employee who leaves for work early in the morning. They were both out at the fair. When they returned around 5:00 PM, they found the locks broken and the inside of the house disturbed. Gold, silver jewelry, and approximately 30,000 to 35,000 rupees in cash were missing from both the wardrobes.
Robin did not specify the person responsible for the theft. However, a person was captured on the CCTV camera entering the house and staying inside for about 24 minutes, eventually carrying out the burglary and fleeing. Civil Lines Police Station has initiated an investigation into the matter.”
