In Sunam, Sangrur, two youths on a motorcycle robbed a shopkeeper at a stationery store in front of Shaheed Udham Singh College. Armed with a sharp weapon, they intimidated the shopkeeper, looting Rs. 10,000 before fleeing the scene.
Deepinder Singh Jeji, the in-charge of the local police station, reached the spot and informed that the robbery was committed by two individuals who will be apprehended soon. He assured that all CCTV cameras in the vicinity are being thoroughly checked, and no leniency will be shown in handling the case. Jeji stated that the police force is diligently working on the case, and a full-fledged investigation is underway. He urged the public to remain vigilant and assured that the miscreants would be arrested promptly.
Social activist Manoj Kumar, present at the scene, expressed confidence in the police and appealed to the government to deploy additional police forces in the city for enhanced security. The community is hopeful that the swift action of law enforcement will bring the culprits to justice and serve as a deterrent against such criminal activities in the future.
