On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held public meetings in Nagaur district in Rajasthan, where he launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led state government and the Gandhi family. He stated that the politics of corruption and appeasement carried out during the Congress rule has been exposed. He alleged that the condition of the Congress party is such that Sonia Gandhi is trying to launch her son Rahul Gandhi in Delhi, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is attempting to launch his son Vaibhav Gehlot.
Shah further stated, “The land of Rajasthan has been synonymous with respect and pride for years. People here faced the storm of the Mughals, but over the past five years, the Ashok Gehlot government did not spare even the land of heroes. Rajasthan has had the most corrupt government, and the situation is such that just seeing red flags, Gehlot gets upset.” Shah accused the state’s Mining Department of a Rs 66,000 crore scam, a Rs 2,000 crore scam in the Udaipur Lake, even of the 2 kg of gold found in the secretariat. Shah criticised Gehlot for allegedly focusing only on appeasement during his rule and stated that the Congress government had breached all limits of appeasement.
He mocked Gehlot as a magician, saying he is the type of magician who has used his magic to destroy electricity, health, water, employment, and law and order in Rajasthan over the past five years. Shah stated that the only result of Gehlot’s magic has been a reign of appeasement.
Shah also said that during Gehlot’s rule, there have been violent incidents in Dungarpur, Baran, Jhalawar, Karauli, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Karauli, Chittorgarh, Mewar, Dhaulpur, and Jaipur. He mentioned that the situation has been dire in these areas, and it is time for the people of Rajasthan to oust a government involved in appeasement politics.
BJP will give good governance to the public: Shah
In the meeting, Amit Shah said that in Rajasthan, BJP means good governance. He said, “Only the BJP government can provide law and order, water, electricity, healthcare, and education. During Congress’s rule, corruption and favouritism have been rampant. The current situation in Rajasthan is such that Sonia Gandhi is trying to launch her son Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and Ashok Gehlot is trying to launch his son Vaibhav Gehlot in Rajasthan.”
Shah also highlighted the achievements of the Central Government saying, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Chandrayaan and made the tricolour flutter on the moon.”
Amit Shah said, “In the last 10 years, Narendra Modi has given 8 lakh 71 thousand crores to Rajasthan. Projects worth 6 lakh crores have been given for national highways, airports, refineries, and railways. In the last 10 years, the Center sent money to 80 lakh farmers of Rajasthan in bank accounts. To honour the soldiers, we met their demand for one rank and one pension. There should be a government that delivers justice in the state.” Amit Shah said that Rajasthan has given the most soldiers to the army.
Wherever you touch in the state, there is a scam: Shah
Amit Shah said, “In Rajasthan, wherever you touch, there is a scam coming out. There is a scam of 66 thousand crores in the mining department here, 2,000 crores in the Udai Sagar Lake, and allegations of taking bribes in transfers in front of the education minister. Meanwhile, crores of rupees have been recovered in the Secretariat. A scam of 200 crores in the name of the poor, a scam of 100 crores in the name of ration for the poor, and a scam of 450 crores in the pension has come to the fore.” He added, “The biggest problem in Rajasthan is drinking water inside the villages. Prime Minister Narendra Modi did the work of providing water to every person’s home all over the country, but here a scam of 20 thousand crores has occurred in the Jal Jeevan Mission.” While talking about forming a double-engine government, he said that if the government is formed, then water will be provided in every home.
