Nurses from All India Institute of Medical Sciences hospital in Bathinda held a demonstration outside the facility, raising voices against the hospital administration. The protesting nursing staff alleges negligence and improper management practices.
The emergency services, apart from other essential duties, were halted by the nursing staff, emphasizing their discontent with the hospital’s administration. The protesting nurses claim that they have been serving at AIIMS for the past three years without receiving proper recognition. They express concern that despite their dedicated service, new vacancies are being advertised without considering their rightful placements.
“The administration has not addressed our concerns, and for several days, our protest has fallen on deaf ears,” says a spokesperson for the nursing staff. The demonstration is a culmination of ongoing dissatisfaction regarding working conditions, lack of acknowledgment, and the absence of fair consideration for new positions.
The nursing staff asserts that their protest will continue until their grievances are heard and addressed by the hospital administration. The situation raises questions about the management policies and working conditions within AIIMS, prompting concerns about the welfare of the healthcare professionals and the impact on patient care. The administration is yet to respond to the nurses’ concerns.
