He attributed this success to the positive work done by AAP in Delhi, the capital city, which resonated with the people of Chandigarh, leading them to vote for AAP and win the majority of councillor seats. Dr. Ahluwalia outlined the membership campaign, stating that AAP activists will visit households in Chandigarh to engage with residents and encourage them to become AAP members. Membership forms and volunteer mapping sheets have been distributed to ward-level activists for this purpose. To become a member, people need to make a missed call to the provided number (9888777248), and after receiving a membership code, the code will be recorded on the membership form by AAP activists.
The information of new members enlisted through the membership campaign will be uploaded on the ‘Chandigarh 2024 mobile application. Additionally, a volunteer mapping sheet has been provided for those interested in joining as volunteers.
