Putin Voices Concern Over Rising Global Conflict, Warns Of Growing World War III Risk

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday voiced deep concern at the growing threat of global war, admitting fears that the world could be on the path to a third world war.

Addressing the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Putin explained that the likelihood of conflict across the globe was increasing, mentioning multiple active hotspots that had the potential to increase tensions.

“There is much conflict potential, and it’s increasing,” said Putin, further commenting, “This is not joke or irony it’s a serious matter unfolding before our very eyes and directly impacting Russia.”

He cited the war raging in Ukraine, the intensifying conflict between Israel and Iran, and the combustible situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear plants where Russian technicians are busily engaged in building two nuclear reactors as sources of concern.

Putin emphasized the use of active diplomacy and peaceful solutions to avoid escalation. “These events require not only our close attention but also an effort aimed at finding peaceful ways out on all fronts,” he said.

His comments come at a time of increased global instability and concern about a wider international crisis between nuclear-capable nations.

Putin’s statement underscores the precarious nature of international relations today and the imperative need for international cooperation.
