Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has transferred major powers to the country’s top military council. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) now holds primary control as Iran’s tensions with Israel and the United States continue to grow.

Fighting Reaches Sixth Day

Both Israel and Iran launched missile attacks on Wednesday. Neither side has shown signs of stopping, despite six straight days of conflict. The situation remains volatile.

US Issues Fresh Warning to Iran

At the same time, US President Donald Trump has stepped up pressure on Iran. He warned that American patience is nearly gone.

Trump also made a strong statement about Khamenei’s safety.
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now…Our patience is wearing thin,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

He further demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”

Khamenei Loses Grip Over Power

Since 1989, Khamenei has controlled Iran’s military and made all major state appointments. But now, he appears increasingly isolated.

Several of his closest allies in the military have died in recent Israeli strikes. Among them was senior commander Ali Shadmani. These deaths have left Iran’s leadership shaken.

According to Reuters, sources close to Iran’s leadership say that losing top IRGC officials has created a serious strategic gap around Khamenei.

Israel’s Stance Remains Firm

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to support aggressive military actions. He believes targeting Khamenei directly would end the conflict altogether.

In an interview with ABC News, Netanyahu said, “It’s not going to escalate the conflict, it’s going to end the conflict.”

Rising Death Toll

The ongoing conflict began last Friday when Israel attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities and targets in Tehran. Since then, at least 224 people in Iran and 24 in Israel have been killed.
