Iran-Israel War Escalates as Hospital Hit and Trump Weighs US Military Intervention

Iran-Israel war escalates rapidly as Iranian missiles strike a major hospital in southern Israel. The surprise attack on Soroka Medical Centre in Beersheba pushes the conflict into a dangerous new phase, now entering its seventh day. Both nations target military and nuclear sites with increasing ferocity, while global tensions soar. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump signals possible intervention, intensifying fears of a wider regional war.

Hospital Struck as Conflict Intensifies

The Israeli Defence Forces confirmed Iranian missiles hit Soroka Medical Centre, Israel’s largest hospital in southern Beersheba, causing “extensive damage.” Multiple strikes hit the region, injuring at least 47 people, according to rescue officials and hospital staff.

In retaliation, Israel attacked Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor, a critical nuclear site vital to Iran’s atomic infrastructure. The strike followed evacuation warnings issued to nearby towns and cities. Israeli leaders directly blamed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for escalating the violence. The IDF vowed to intensify operations and warned of stronger counterattacks against Iran’s growing aggression.

Iran-Israel War: Trump and Putin Enter Crisis

As the conflict escalates, senior US officials prepare for possible military strikes against Iran, Bloomberg reported. At the White House, Trump told reporters, “I may do it, I may not do it…I mean, nobody knows what I’m going to do.” He added, “I like to make the final decision one second before it’s due because things change, especially with war.”

Meanwhile, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin offered to mediate between Iran and Israel. He proposed a settlement that allows Iran a peaceful atomic program while addressing Israel’s long-standing security concerns. “We have shared our proposal with Israel, Iran, and the United States,” Putin said.

Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, reaffirmed that Iran will not seek nuclear weapons, stating, “We are committed to diplomacy and peaceful resolution.”

European diplomats will hold nuclear talks with Iran on Friday. However, US participation remains uncertain as diplomatic efforts continue.
