As tensions between Iran and Israel grow, India has taken steps to ensure the safety of its citizens. On Sunday, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed that it is closely watching the situation.
According to the ministry, the Indian Embassy in Tehran is actively monitoring developments. It stated that the Embassy is “closely monitoring the security situation and staying in touch with Indian students in Iran to ensure their safety.”
Some Students Relocated for Safety
As a precaution, the Embassy has moved some students to safer locations. The MEA said, “in some cases, students are being relocated to safer areas within Iran with the Embassy’s support.”
Government Considers More Safety Measures
Moreover, Indian officials are preparing for any further escalation. The ministry noted that “other feasible options are also under consideration,” suggesting that evacuation could be a possibility.
