Actor Urvashi Rautela recently stunned the 2025-2026 Paris Fashion Week, albeit not as per her plans. Posting a pic on Instagram and writing, “Paris, toujours une bonne idée ???????? PARIS FASHION WEEK” (“Paris, always a good idea”), Rautela presented herself in her look, which forthwith raised a flurry of polarised reactions among social media netizens.
Take a look:
As confident as she seemed, however, netizens weren’t all that impressed. On Reddit and other media, people slammed the dress, with one commenter lightly teasing, “First Miss Universe to be a phool in Paris.”
Another commented for laughs, “She’s wearing that pencil waala thing that pokes out of sharpeners,” taunting the unusual shape.
Other comments were “High fashion ❌ high????fashion ✅” and “First woman to dress up as an IT Clown at a Paris event,” further mocking at Rautela’s expense. One user even compared the outfit to a loofah and said, “Loofah. bas shower gel ki kami hai.!!” suggesting that the outfit looked more like bathroom wear than high fashion.
Adding to the confusion was that there was no buzz from the brand Rautela was apparently endorsing. A user noted, “Bruh, did she just print that backdrop herself? The brand’s main page has not posted anything regarding such an event.” Another individual jokingly added, “Where are Paris Olympics bodyguards of hers? She’s throwing some serious Netflix documentary Anna Delvey vibes without the brains. Edit: funny until it ain’t. Like, bruh, she got a whole flex printed out, got people employed, and wore that disgusting outfit that resembles something that has been designed by someone who doesn’t have a sense of fashion – all in one reel.”
Despite the bickering, the 2025 Paris Fashion Week itself is a huge event, with highlights such as Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Dior show, ‘Once Upon a Time’, which redesigned the iconic J’Adore Dior t-shirt. As the week progresses, fashion will be raising the stakes for the remainder of the season, with models strutting down the runways in front of dramatic backdrops such as lava, boulders flying through the air, and pterodactyls.
