Nation Gears Up for Yoga Celebrations

While India gets ready to celebrate the big day, various events are being organized across the nation. This year’s central theme is “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” The prime programme, Yoga Sangam, will host a mass yoga demo in conformity with the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) at more than one lakh places on June 21, 6:30-7:45 am.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the primary event from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing India’s commitment to promoting yoga as a unifying global practice.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also confirmed that yoga events will be held at 11 locations in the capital city. She praised PM Modi’s efforts, noting, ‘Thanks to the initiatives by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yoga Day is being celebrated in international forums and the whole world is embracing Yoga very fondly.”

These combined efforts reflect India’s commitment to demonstrating the timespan relevance of yoga in contemporary life, both domestically and internationally.
