Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya got married to celebrated Carnatic vocalist and Bharatanatyam dancer Sivasri Skandaprasad on Thursday in a small wedding ceremony. The bridegroom and bride tied the knot in a private function with close family members and some top BJP leaders present at Palace Grounds, Bengaluru.

Several senior BJP leaders attended the ceremony, including Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai, MP Pratap Simha, and BJP IT Cell head Amit Malaviya. Karnataka BJP president B Y Vijayendra and Union Minister V Somanna also attended and later posted photos from the event on social media.

When word of the wedding got around, social media was abuzz with questions about Sivasri Skandaprasad, a multi-faceted artist with a long and distinguished career.

Who Is Sivasri Skandaprasad?

Born on August 1, 1996, Sivasri came into the limelight for her musical contribution to Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan series. She has a huge online fan base, with more than 1.13 lakh Instagram followers and two lakh YouTube subscribers. Born in Chennai, she is the daughter of Seerkazhi Sri J Skandaprasad, a renowned Mridangam maestro. She was trained in Carnatic music by Guru Sri A S Murali.
Passionate Artist and Dancer. Sivasri has been studying Bharatanatyam from the age of three, and she performs at prestigious Chennai Sabhas like the Music Academy. She has also performed as a cultural diplomat of India in South Korea and Denmark.
