Shantanu Naidu, commonly known as Ratan Tata’s right-hand man and also a general manager at Tata Motors, was recently awarded the title of ‘Social Impact Leader of the Year’ at a Google for Education event.
The Viksit Bharat 2047 – Google Education Summit 2025, organized in the Google office, was designed to highlight people making a difference in education and social causes. Naidu’s meaningful work did this justice, sharing the dais with Aman Gupta, Suniel Shetty, and Raj Shamani.
Shantanu’s Touching Note
After the event, Naidu posted a beautiful post through @socktalks.tv on Instagram with the words, “The short story is, tiny award, took Amma with me, made a bunch of inspiring friends.” Having originated from a five-generation-long serving family of the Tata Group, he is most renowned for his dependable work with Ratan Tata.
Naidu also commented on India’s entrepreneurial fervour for nurturing young entrepreneurs, stating, “I never thought the force behind school-based entrepreneurs would be so passionate in India. And obviously there are some ludicrously inspirational people here who are willing to get their sleeves rolled up.”

The post, posted on July 8, 2025, soon went viral, receiving more than 20,000 likes and an influx of comments. Several Instagram users congratulated Naidu, terming the moment “well-deserved” and “truly inspiring.”
