SC Halts Government Orders Requiring Kanwar Yatra Eateries To Disclose Staff Names
The Supreme Court has put a hold on the government’s directive requiring eateries along the Kanwariya Yatra route to display the names of their owners.
The Court has issued notices to the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh regarding petitions challenging this requirement.
The Supreme Court has requested their responses and scheduled a hearing for July 26. The Court stated that food vendors should not be compelled to disclose the names of their owners or staff.
