PM Modi’s Recent Visit to Gir National Park

Earlier this month, on World Wildlife Day, PM Modi visited Gujarat’s Gir National Park, where he embarked on a lion safari and introduced the concept of Bruhad Gir—an initiative aimed at expanding the conservation area beyond the Gir National Park and Sanctuary. This expanded 30,000 sq. km area, stretching from Barda to Botad, aims to protect Asiatic lions while ensuring the growth and well-being of local communities.

With the addition of Madhav Tiger Reserve, India continues to make significant strides in wildlife conservation, reinforcing its position as a global leader in protecting endangered species.
