Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tour of Gujarat on Friday saw him host a magnificent roadshow in Surat, where there were thousands of followers along the route. BJP flags were waved by people, slogans were chanted, and Modi’s procession was showered with flowers. The Gujarat Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel, accompanied the Prime Minister during the event.

A roadshow video that went viral recorded a heart-wrenching moment when Modi signed a painting by a man. The painting featured Modi standing next to his deceased mother, Heeraben Modi. In tears, the man was captured sobbing uncontrollably as the Prime Minister recognized his piece of art by signing it.

The BJP ‘X’ (ex-Twitter) handle of the government posted the warm moment, saying: “PM Modi is not only a leader but an emotion for many. Feel the loving gesture of a man in this video as he gets a signature from the PM himself.”

The emotional moment was witnessed at the inauguration of Surat’s Food Security Saturation Campaign, when Modi handed over benefits of the National Food Security Act to more than 2.3 lakh recipients. The video went viral in a short while, gathering more than 11,000 views.
