Aman Gupta, boAt co-founder and Shark Tank India judge, recently was a guest on the youtube show, Prakhar Ke Pravachan. He spoke about how chasing success meant missing key moments in his daughters’ lives. Aman said it was tough, but he accepted the personal cost of his success and said that he knew he had to sacrifice something to become successful.

He Missed Milestones, But Not Success

“I know I have missed out on many things in my daughter’s life. If I look back now, I realise how many events I have missed,” Gupta admitted. Despite this, he firmly stated, “I am very much okay with it and I don’t regret it at all.”

Gupta, who is married to Piya Dagar and has two daughters, Adaa and Miraya—emphasised that these sacrifices were necessary to build his business empire. “Had I not missed out on those occasions, my life would have been much different,” he said.

Success Demanded Sacrifice, Says Aman Gupta

Aman explained that his journey to the top wasn’t easy and required significant trade-offs. “I worked very hard and that is the reason I’m where I am,” he said. “I must have missed out on many things in life, but that is what it takes to reach such a level.”

He has spoken in the past about the support of his wife, especially during the early years when she managed household expenses while he focused on growing Boat. Aman Gupta admits that building boAt meant missing time with his daughters.

He accepts the sacrifice and says he has no regrets. Aman has been known to be a fun-loving and relaxed personality as a shark on Shark Tank.
