The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is carrying out raids at multiple locations across Jammu and Kashmir as part of a crackdown on the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror network. The operation is linked to an ongoing investigation into the infiltration of terrorists from Pakistan, with searches underway at at least ten locations in Jammu, including one in Bathindi.

The raids are being conducted in connection with case RC-04/2024/NIA/JMU, registered on October 24, 2024, based on intelligence inputs about active terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and JeM sneaking into Indian territory through the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC). Investigators have found that these infiltrations were facilitated by overground workers (OGWs) and other terror associates in villages across Jammu, who provided logistical support, including food, shelter, money, and safe passage.

Security agencies remain on high alert as the searches continue, with further details on the operation awaited.
