“The services are normal now. Heavy winds caused a plastic sheet from one of the under-construction sites to fly on to the overhead wire along the Azad Nagar Metro station, suspending train services,” Mumbai Metro One tweeted on X.

Airlines Issue Travel Advisories

Flight operations too were affected because of unfavorable weather conditions. IndiGo airlines also urged customers to pre-estimate extra travel time and monitor their flight status prior to traveling.
In its advisory on X, IndiGo stated, “Heavy rains are still ongoing in Mumbai, while road conditions are slow in many areas of the city. Waterlogging and low visibility are reported on some airport routes.”
